Snoop's Ego Trippin: Is the art a bad sign?

I'm just saying, it's kind of unremarkable. It's a safe bet that Estevan Oriol photographed Snoop for the cover of his lastest album, Ego Trippin, and Estevan is the realest photographer out, but the whole package just seems destined to unimpress.
The photo is great. It just doesn't seem right for an album cover. Let the cookie cutters chime in though....

Now he can't even afford to get color pictures for his new CD. That shit looks like a picture on a back of a milk carton. Maybe it's a sign for things to come of old uncle Snoop's career. Snoop would have been better off taking pictures with his cell phone

Warner Music Group is hoping to purchase Death Row Records' music catalog - as part of the beleaguered label's bankruptcy proceedings - even if it cost $25 million.
The label that was once home to Tupac Shakur, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg has been handled by a bankruptcy trustee since July 2006, due to what U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Ellen Carroll termed "gross mismanagement" by owner Marion "Suge" Knight.
Now the New York Post has reported that Warner Music Group may end up with Death Row's music assets. According to a February 1st filing in US Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California, Warner Music Group, headed by CEO Edgar Bronfman and Lyor Cohen, is being named the lead bidder in Death Row's bankruptcy proceedings having offered $25 million for control of the catalog.
Despite the lofty offer, transferring ownership of the catalog may be extremely difficult because Death Row's right to some of the estimated 10,000 tracks has been contested by both Dr. Dre, who claims he is owed royalty payments from The Chronic, and Afeni Shakur, mother of late rapper Tupac Shakur, who claims rights to his unreleased music. Warner's offer only stands if those works are included in the catalog.
Ownership of Death Row's catalog would be a strategic step for WMG, largely because its music publishing division, Warner Chappell already manages some of the label's songs.
If the deal doesn't go through, Warner and Death Row have set up a non-bidding agreement (that includes a $500,000 break-up fee provision for Warner) which is still awaiting court approval.
According to court documents, Death Row's catalog has scored interest from at least 18 different parties including unnamed labels, banks and film-finance companies. Sources say Koch Records, sometime distributor for the label, and the Lehman Brothers-backed Evergreen Copyrights which owns the writer's portion of Tupac's catalog have also shown interest in securing control of the catalog.
Competing bidders have until April to top Warner's offer; at which point a court-run auction will determine the fate of Death Row's catalog.
As SOHH previously reported, Knight and Death Row filed for bankruptcy in April 2006, listing $137 million in debt and just $4.4 million in assets. He founded the label in 1991.

Tha Blue Carpet Treatment is the eighth solo album released by rapper Snoop Dogg. Producers for the album include Pharrell Williams and Dr. Dre. It was released on November 21, 2006 on Geffen Records.
The title of the album is related to his Crip gang affiliation, as blue is the color associated with the Crips. The album cover has undergone several revisions. The first concept, revealed in August 2006 on SnoopDogg.com, featured a cartoon dog (representing Snoop Dogg) standing on a blue carpet that looks like a big blue bandana. Had this design been used, it would have been the third of Snoop Dogg's album covers to use the cartoon likeness of the rapper that was designed by his cousin Darryl Daniel. An updated version was shown on the Late Show with David Letterman 13th Anniversary Special on August 30, 2006 that featured a parody of the famous Hollywood Sign which instead read "LONG BEACH". It was then changed to its current version. Geffen posted this as the final cover for the album on their website.[1]
Snoop Dogg told Billboard that he was working on this album, Tha Blue Carpet Treatment, for nine months. He has collaborated with the likes of R. Kelly, Ice Cube, Pharrell Williams, D'Angelo, Akon, B-Real of Cypress Hill, and even Stevie Wonder. He also confirmed that Dr. Dre had a big input on this album, producing several tracks and even rapping a verse on the track, "Imagine". He also did I Wanna Fuck You with Akon but had to release a cleaned up version for radio play called I Wanna Love You. Snoop Dogg's new album takes the Long Beach, California native back to his gangsta roots. The rapper told MTV.com the album has allowed him to embrace his true nature. "I went right back to the 'hood", he said of his album's production. "I took it back to the basics. I've been making a lot of pop songs, lot of R&B songs. Songs that may have made my fans feel like I wavered from what I was naturally accustomed to doing. But I'm an entertainer and I entertain people and that's what I was feeling at the time. But right now, I'm feeling like going right back to the 'hood". Pharrell Williams said the rapper's music video, "Vato" will not only show his gangsta side, but will also tackle the issue of violence between African Americans and Hispanics in Los Angeles and call for racial unity.
Snoop Dogg, teamed up with known DJs from the West, East, and the South and released Tha Blue Carpet Treatment Mixtape, which was hosted by DJ Skee, DJ Whoo Kid, and DJ Drama. It contained all the rumoured tracks that had been cut from the final track listing of his studio album. It was released a few weeks before the official album came out.[2]
As of November 11, 2006 the album had leaked to the internet and file sharing networks in full. The album debuted at #5 on the Billboard charts,[3] with over 464,000 copies sold in its first week in stores.
On the Nielsen SoundScan annual Best Sellers Top 100 rankings it was listed 97th with the 2006 year-end catalog closing sales number of 2.9 Million copies despite having been released in mid-November and its sales data is accumulated for only one and a half months.
