It's been a jet setting 48 hours. By that, I mean airport delays, wi-fi-less waiting, and hung over naps on 747s. Hence, SOHH Left Coast getting the last year-end (w)rap in the whole blogosphere.

Bishop. Get it? Full tracklisting and downloadability after the jump. Is it better than Caltroit?

This pre-2008 week, the Wild Wild West will be hosting two of rap's greats. For a flick of the venue and a few more details, kick the flip.

Snoop's got his family problems, Jay just said "Adios" to Def Jam and we here on the West Coast are anxiously awaiting your year-end nominees as the holidays hit a crescendo. But, one of the biggest stories this year has been the power of the Internet and...
We'll be taking tomorrow off, but a few notes to check out before we check out for the holiday. First up, free download of Jay Rock's new mixtape, No Sleep Till NYC.
Secondly, here's the spot to list your year end nominees. Let us know your favorite left coast MC, producer, album, song and mixtape of the year. Speak now or forever hold your peace.
And, finally, another hoiday example of embarrassing business...when rap falls in the wrong people's hands:
Happy holidays, dudes.
So, yeah, this is the third post about DJ Skee's American Godfather mixtape in like eight days, but right before the holidays, everything slows down quite severely. And, we could just tell you about Glasses Malone's toy drive (today at VIP Records from 12-3pm, located at 111730 Wilmington Boulevard in Los Angeles), but giving isn't really gangster. So, instead, it's the video for DJ Skee's much-downloaded and much-discussed remix of Jay-Z's American Gangster.

Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg, Bad Azz, Daz and Tray Dee bring the cheer.
Well, since we told you about his brother getting jacked out here in Los Feliz/Hollywood, a shook Lil Jon and crew were thought to be skipping the sunny Cali scene for full time family life out in the ATL. But recently, Lil Jon was spotted West Coastin' with DJ Spider out in Vegas...Check out the pics and the mixtape, Rockbox Vol. 1 here.

Snoop Dogg's fatherhood welcomed a very special guest last night. Did David Beckham make a good impression?

We told you about this last week before MTV picked up on the story, but DJ Skee's American Godfather mixtape has leaked to the internuts. Skee's peoples said that the whole record would be up on imeem before morning, so if it ain't, I'll post the dude's phone number for y'all. Or something. So what are your thoughts on one of the preeminent West Coast DJs bringing together a gang of producers from out here to flip a New York don's record with The Godfather?
I spent last night watching "BAY BUSINESS" a DVD hosted by Kafani Da Ice King and featuring Bay Area all-stars like Dem Hoodstarz who were caught at a San Jose Streetlow Car Show. Also, Too $hort, who gives you a behind-the-scenes ride through Oakland, while taping MTV's My Block...and much, much moreâ€"even some ish I wish I wouldn't have seen!
This has been making rounds around cyberspace's download galaxy for a couple of days but SOHH Left heads have yet to weigh in. The song: "They Don Want It"; The group: Tha Dogg Pound. I must say, for me, the joint doesn't even catch a vibe until halfway through, but the beat and background is old school, funky, dirty fuzz that'll make you move. But don't take my word for it...

This one is a doozy. Probably the most famous member of the Living Legends, Murs has been one of the defining artists for underground rap since the late-'90s. This new track certainly isn't gangster rap, but in the infinite wisdom of Ricky Martin, she bangs.
So here we go, Snoop Dogg has entered the pantheon of rappers on reality television. Fortunately for SOHH Left’s insides, Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood appears to be more in the vein of Run’s House than Flavor of Love, ‘cause we’re gonna watch this each week and give it a running diary. This is more E! than I’ve watched in my entire life and getting the last faux patriotic minutes of Girls Next Door is already making me ill. This is (not) going to be good.
It all kind of started with Jay-Z and it should hit an all-time high with the man this time around. Surely, 9th Wonder remixed that Nas record for God's Stepson, but once Danger Mouse got his hippie hands on the Black Album and a Beatles catalog, the remix album was never looking back. Big news from a big time West Coast DJ on his American Gangster remix project coming up...
I gotta say I think this is the best one yet. Over Jay's "Dynasty" beat!

Sometimes us folks at SOHH Left sleep on the different sounds of West Coast rap out here. It's true, we have our musical prejudices. But in the spirit of being open minded, we present you indie rap friends with some new details on one of the founding members of Quannam Projects, Lyrics Born and his new album, Everywhere At Once.

While the most credible source on this sad, sad story is only Ballerstatus, it's being reported that Hayward, California rapper Spice 1 was shot yesterday morning in an apparent robbery attempt. Let's keep the thoughts positive on this one.
The rap legend's been gone for twelve years but tomorrow will see the release of Eazy-E's fifth posthumous album. Check out the tracklisting and more details on Featuring...Eazy-E after the flip.
