Last Wednesday on his radio show on L.A.s Power 106, DJ Skee revealed that he will be teaming up with Nu Jerzey Devil to drop a collaborative mixtape from The Game and Lil’ Wayne, tentatively titled Blood Brothers.
And yes, this means all of you Game haters and Weezy haters finally have the chance to join up and share your respective “fake Blood†accusations.
Rejoice.
Now I know how “uncool†it is to be Lil’ Wayne fan these days, what with the whole kissing Baby on the mouth thing (And yes, that s**t is suspect as f**k, whether dude considers him his dad or not. I don’t know any 24-year-old dudes that kiss their dads on the mouth, nor do I know anyone who considers that to be, as Wayne put it, some “mafioso†s**t.), but nonetheless, I like what dude does on wax for the most part. Except on that remix of Swizz Beatz’s “I’m Back B**ches†remix where he brags about knowing french and then goes on to butcher the most well-known French phrase in history, “Voulez-vous coucher avec moi?†That s**t was kinda lame.
At any rate, this whole collaboration sounds like it could be kinda dope. I’m hoping that these guys can motivate each other to actually put some extra effort into there verses so that this isn’t just another mixtape with two rappers spitting lazy-ass third-rate verses, because if this joint turns out like that half-assed “Blow†mixtape that Weezy and Juelz Santana dropped last year with Mick Boogie, I’ll pass on it.
For the time being though, I’m gonna have faith, and hope that this little collabo turns out alright.
