There isn’t shit to write about today (although tomorrow we’re going to talk about that Kweli and Madlib album after I give it a couple of good listens), so I’m going to let everybody reminisce for a second.
If you’re up on game, you already knew about this joint before Master P tried to come out in ‘96 like he was the ice cream man after his lame ass moved out of the Bay. And you hated Percy for droppin' some wack shit after Dru and the Luniz came with a Bay Area gangsta classic.
Not to say Yuk doesn’t still have it, but his whole style was so much doper back around the time that Operation Stackola came out. Check his verse on this track and tell me that he couldn't stomp a lyrical mudhole in Spider Loc's ass any day of the week (check up on that beef if you don't already know). Even Numskull came with a ridiculous verse...
I have no idea why “Pimp Of The Year” was the big single off of Explicit Game because this song “Ice Cream Man” blows that shit out of the water. Plus, there’s something about seeing Dru Down cooking crack with m-16 strapped to his back that just makes a motherfucking video.

Man that was unexpected, although no matter what you think of Master P, that icecream man album was a banger to me. Dru down was cracking me up with the 45 in hand, M16 on his back, and the 2nd pistol in his wannabe vest lol. I think I am going to look for this album on ebay now.

1.This is TRASH RAP!!!!!!! Who Ok'd this back in 94 had to a white man behind the scene, oh These N8ggers wanna smake songs and shoot videos about selling coke to their people, open up a budget.
2.Master P- Yes true hustler, changed the game from being about quality music and an art form to making money, nowhere on his list of accomplishments do I see any awards for good music.

yea, i grew up with that nikka Dru, we use to play tackle football on the concrete playground at horace mann elementary, which is where the last shot in the video took place.(that's why he called himself Mugsy the jacketrabbit, he was quick as Fukk) The sad part about that video is lots of the dudes that were in it, in the background or whatnot, are now resting in peace. The good part is you got dudes like me and plus the young ones coming up, that will continue to innovate and push the line forward for the Town and the Bay. As a grown azz man I have been around the world, and no matter whether NY, Chi, LA or anywhere on the map, the game we learn in the Town has always been respected and been able to stand up against anybody and in fact xeroxed and duplicated; which in my humble opinion means we have world-class game. So for everybody out there , hyphy is high-siding, ghostriding is dipping and yoking, catch me on Foothill with my Vogues Smokin Really tho'............
