That beat is sick! I love how it's just that beep shit in the begining so you think your computer is fucking up 'till you get the patten and the drums come in. very dope, better then average beat.
Now keak, I've deff. tried to open myself up to the "hyphy" thing when it got some spotlight 3 years ago. But it doesn't have that mainstream "thing" like crunk did to take over.
Keak don't have what it takes. I feel like he makes the song worst with his flow. He's got a good voice, but that's it. He's got no depth or real lyrical ability.

I have to agree. Keak da Sneak is one of the worst rappers I have head by far. I would take this CD and give it the royal flush, straight down the toilet. It's crazy that the Bay Area is trying to sell a sound instead of dope artists. The difference between Mac Dre and every "doo doo dumb" artist that comes out now??? Mac Dre had some talent--these clowns suck, no Mark Foley. Nobody's gonna pay attention to this stuff outside of the Bay Area until the Bay Area actually demands some decent artistry to go along with this gimmick.
Then they'll cry about people hating on the Bay and whatnot...and it's not that--I think DU, Souls, Del, Pac, E-40, Luniz, etc all got universal burn. The reason?? Because they were dope and didn't have to rely upon some idiotic gimmick to be hot...

It's a cute thought that Bay Area rappers don't care about national recognition--and if that's the case, then so be it.
The truth is, however, that all of us in the Bay Area cry about the lack of recognition that we get and why everybody sleeps on us and why none of these artists get signed to majors. If that's the inquiry, we've got to look at the quality of the music--it sucks. If it's just for us, cool--but it seems like a lot of folks take it personally when they don't hear our music anyplace else and don't see the videos on MTV or BET--and the answer is simple--when we make stuff that appeals to people that aren't high on ecstacy, then we'll have some basis to complain. Until then, we've gotta be happy being local.
