In the movie “Resurrection,” at an outside concert in Long Beach, Tupac urged onlookers to get back to policing our neighborhoods instead of letting the cops impose their brand of protection on us. He spoke of us supporting our own businesses. He brought back to surface the idea of the old African tradition of “It takes a village to raise a child.” And demanded that WE re-instill the values back in our communities. ‘Pac recognized the trap that is laid for the poor, and relentlessly tried to open our eyes to it. He used himself as the example of the result of this trap most of the time. So why we (Black Americans) are still the number one consumers of this country, yet own the least? Why are we still the top stock for the prison business? Why do we still cry out about police harassment on our own streets?
The Jewish have it. The Asians have it. The Irish and Italians have it as well. Even the Africans who come to this country have been able to live here, indulge in the great fruits of this land, and still keep a very deep connection to their cultural obligation. All of these cultures have managed to become well-respected contributors of this powerful country of ours. Yes, this same country that was built on the blood, sweat, creativity, love, and will of us, Black Americans. Meanwhile, we sit back and let this place take everything from us and give back as it feels. NO MORE HANDOUTS PLEASE!!!!
What if we all at once decided to support Mr. Johnson’s corner store instead of complaining that his bacon is twenty cents more than the mega-store supermarket charges? What if we became zero tolerance with the illegal drug business in our streets designed to trap our young men and insure future investment of the multi-billion dollar incarceration business? What if the many of us who are financially successful made a consorted effort to build recreation centers, literary and arts centers for our youth to even out the lack of government funding for these facilities? What if we turned the police away from their calls to the neighborhood because WE protect OUR neighborhoods FIRST? What if we who make it out of the neighborhood to seize opportunities came back to spread what we have learned, instead of forgetting where we come from? What if we decided to make the street we live on beautiful instead of moving to a place where the people won’t accept us anyway? What if….
I feel ya vision ‘Pac!!!! People’s Soldier reporting for duty, Sir!!!

how about ya'll just go to school, pay attention, get a job like the rest of the world? actually raise your kids? nope, more of this bullshit:
"Yes, this same country that was built on the blood, sweat, creativity, love, and will of us, Black Americans."
fyi open your history book (oh shit, that's the WHITE MAN'S HISTORY BOOK) and you might find this country in its current state was built on the backs of people of many different races, most of which get really tired of hearing black people only mention themselves as building this country and being exploited.
when you make this fight about the true problem in the world: the creation of servant classes for the richest most powerful people (omg some are black) in every country, in every part of the world, then you might see how the whole blacks against the world is pretty much why you will never get anywhere, it's not just about you anymore.
"What if we decided to make the street we live on beautiful instead of moving to a place where the people won’t accept us anyway?"
they won't accept you.. or you wouldn't accept them? go read the 'rent a whitey' blog to see why some of those whiteys wouldn't welcome you, it's not because you are black, it's becuse you are an arrogant jackass with racial issues of your own to deal with.
you are a dumbasss ????. anyone who says pac and biggie were nothing but gimmicks dont know ish about real hip hop PERIOD!
BIG PUN WAS REAL HIP HOP,PAC AND BIGGIE WERE GIMMICKS.RIP PUN BEST RAPPER EVER..

Damn bout time the westcoast gets a blog. Thats whats up. Now wheres the Midwest blog?
I agree Pun was more of a lyricist, but Pac had more charisma, more heartfelt shit to speak on that everybody could relate to. Nah mean? Yeah Pun had more skills than Biggie too, but when it came to charisma...nah.
u know y pac was loved cause he represent the yin and yang in all of us we all struggle with our demons its just that he put his in the open if u hear his message u hear him insecurties and all and not 2 many can be open about their fears and shortcomings he talked bout shit that was relevant 2 now and the future and since his death aint shit changed. y because we aint changed as individuals "i am we" we all one shawty so fix u and know u then be an example thats how we gonna come up. dont create leaders either cause its no since in following another sinner and truth be told aint no leaders anyway cause all the so-called leaders Jesse, Al, all they talk about is us "black" instead of the us as people take your blinders off your eyes and recognize your purpose and potential and live up to it. words from the SOUTH.
Tupac was the greatest rapper ever. Big Pun was good but not on Tupac's level. I can tell just by your tryping style that all you people saying Big Pun are the same person who is a Big Pun dickrider. For every 1 good song Big Pun made Tupac made 30.
On September 13th, 1996 Tupac died from injuries recieved from the September 7th assassination. Tupac Shakur was the greatest rapper of all-time, hands down but he was more then just a rapper. He had many political plans at the time of his death, including a guarantee to start a political party by the year 2000 and to clean up his act within 6 months and run for mayor of Los Angeles. He also had many business and charity plans. He had a great friendship with music legend Quincy Jones and was engaged to Quincy Jones' daughter. He also had a promising acting career. In the Baltimore his childhood poetry sits on display next to Edgar Allen Poe's. Before the man was 22 he had the Vice President of the United States criticizing him. Take away Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, Oprah, or Quincy Jones away at 25 years old and no one would remember their name. He was the realest in the rap industry and his prophetic lyrics preached about the lifes of inner-city minorities who weren't on a high enough platform to let their voice be heard. Rest in peace.
Tupac had songs for every single mood your in. If there was a class on the inside the mind of the inner-city minority you would use his. Fuck Big Pun.
Fuckin U Cant Even Compare Big Pun To Tupac Are U Crazy Pun only Is Compared To Him Cuz He Died Compare Any Big Pun To a Pac Cd And Pac Has Way More To Say And IS WAY MORE REALER
Well R.I.P to TUPAC. He was not as lyrically endowed as his fellow rappers but he did give meaning to the term "hip-hop". Big Pun if he was still alive might have outshined Biggie Smalls in terms of lyricall skills. Black people need to stand up for what it is. I am an African-American. I believe that all other people from around the world dislike blacks bcos they do not utilize the opportunity which they have. Most black people dislike "africa" which is stupid. That is what imperialism was all about and all blacks are fooled to believe their heritage is that of a shameful one. People from even the so called "middle east" who are born here and all still rep where they are from unlike blacks. Black people think it is cool to live in the ghetto. Sorry but it is not. Look at all the other people even people from Africa come here and make it. Truth be told blacks need to learn more about their heritage and accept that they are africans. I am half african by the way. God bless Tupac he is a great poet.
A yo whoever said fuck big pun go fuck ur mother. Tupac released like a million songs. But point is fuck u and ur stupid ass need to go ride some Boriqua dick!!!
i bet that mofo not black pun was nice no doubt but aint no and i repeat NO mofo ever made you feel him like pac and these fuckers know its the truth no disrespect to pun cause he is 1 of the nicest ever but lyrically pac was the whole package pound for pound pac in a class by himself
damn black ice is on his grizzly today.
rest in peace to Lesane parish crooks bka tupac shakur.
Pun.Pac.Biggie.-......Ain't None Better! Stop fighting.
Stop Disrespecting the dead.
R.I.P.
P.S. THEY WOULD'VE DONE A SONG TOGETHER.
pun was better
well i have som info that is quiet disturbing,we all know r&b singer aliyah, died in that plane crash in 1999,but their was nothing wrong with the plane,it seems that rapper jay z and former freind dame dash, were talking oneday around the singer aliyah, and something was said that aliyah wasent sopost to hear.it might had to do with a murder or something even worst, but jay z and dame dash put a bomb on her plane and killed her and made it seem like their was something wrong with the plane,we all know aliyah spent a lot of time with dame dash he was her producer.well their it is that is soo mess up man they belong in jail.i cant belive it.rip aliyah we will allways love you..
big up black ice feelin this left coast blof west coast my second and current home but im a midwest nigga for life but west is second now lets get a midwest blog PEACE TO EVERYBODY FREE FRED HAMPTON JR. AND LARRY HOOVER!!!!!! oh yeah fugg any mofo that dont wanna give pac his props as pound for pound best ever was pun was better lyrically any idiot know that but pac brung shit to the table no other mofo could made you feel him like NO OTHER thats the difference lame ass idiots mofos always trying to take a black man down and his credit
I don't know about that shit, but Jay-Z if suspect for doing business with the United Nations who are known for killing Africans like flies with their "friendly vaccinations" (HIV)... Do the knowldege beneath the surface.
As for people arguing about who was better Pun or Pac, they were two different individuals with two different styles. There's no comparing the two, especially considering that Pac was killed just as he was reaching his prime. There's no denying his lyrical leap in ability between ALL EYEZ ON ME and MAKAVELLI. No denying that me and my girlfriend was a stroke of GENIUS.
And that's not to take away from Pun. I love that dude. I got to see him at one of his last concerts at HOB in New Orleans. He died the next week if I remember correctly. He was a genius as well, but there's no denying that he was influenced a lot by Kool G Rap. Pac was his own person. Pun took G Rap's style and perfected it.
To you young Bucks what don't know your history, you probably have no clue of who or what I'm talking about.
RIP to both of them.
And for real, you niggas better start reading up on this NEW WORLD ORDER or you're gonna die with your thumb up your asses. Just know this, when they start passing out the RF (radio frequency) IDs and the microchips under the skin so you don't have to use cash anymore... go and get your shit ready. That's all I gotta say. IT WILL BE SOON! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!
And argue if you want, but I READ BOOKS and get my knowledge from the motherfuckers who want to do it to us and are arrogant enough to write about it!
PEACE TO MY FIGHTERS AND REVOLUTIONARIES

I'm 28. I lived through the best times of HIP HOP. I didn't have to read a goddamn thing. Go cop a Kool G Rap and DJ Polo CD and tell me Pun didn't jack his style.
Have you ever listened to G RAP? You can't tell me Pun didn't jack his style. C'mon man...
You sound like a kid that don't know shit about the culture. You think Pun didn't rap about cars, hoes, clothes and $krill? Are you kidding me?
I don't wanna be a player, remember that one. His biggest hit? You're an idiot.
What about the track he did with NORE, Banned From TV...
Champagne on the rocks put on the Fort Knox Lazera,
Shark Salad with Karats
Pork Chops and apple sauce
Tell me he ain't flossin right there...
I could site mad lyrics from Pun talking that shit, but it's all good. I got love for that. I'm not criticizing, I'm just stating facts.
Do your history KID...

....yeah what if. that shit sounds good, but it aint goin down. People in the hood and people who made it out the hood aint doin shit for the hood. That aint no what if, its the truth.
One more thing, so what PAC was a dancer? He was also the son of a Panter and a WARRIOR POET.
im sorry but if 2pac ever battled big pun ,2 pac would lose soo bad.llol.
Pac wasn't a battle emcee. Does that mean he's less relevant? Neither was Rakim and he's one of the greatest. Chuck D wasn't a battle rapper... I could go on all day, but I'm sure you've never listened to an entire album before 1996. LOL...
Kids...
Hip Hop ain't about just battling. Rapping ain't about beefs and battling either. That's just one facet to it.
Remember how bad Pac killed Biggie on Hit em up? You mean to tell me he wouldn't have killed Pun? C'mon...
Pac would've eaten his lunches!
ha ha nyce try ,but big pun spit about money or girls once inawhile, but 80 percent of his flow was true skillz.like battle skillz.2pac made songs about keeping your head up,than turns around and joins shug knight and truns into a gansta.he was a fake thug.and no way does big pun sound like koolg rap not even one bit.you se big pun spit thats what he did.and you say 2pac is a worrior poet, well you se its easy to say things on wax but its another to do something about it.i look at pac like how i look at bush you say one thing and did another, you cant rap bout saving people and do fuced up shhit. cause people are gonna be like is this kid serious?? unlike mr kayne west. pac only said things in songs thats as far as he got, and your talking about all this black panther shhit were are they now??? lol.eaither in jail or dead..big pun rap thats what he did .pun said things so hott and fast nobody couldent even fuc with him. lets say one of your boys died, he wasent your best freind but he was just one of the peoples u new,and lets say he did a lot of bad things in his life ,when you go to his wake your gonna tell his mom like yo i was one of his best freinds and he was a good person and this and that out of respect.even tho some of it isent true.thats the deal with pac and biggie people are just saying their the best cause its mess up on how they died and they wanna show respect, plus their skard somebody might say shhit if they say other wise , pun was the best not cause he died but his skillz are 100 years ahead of any rapper i ever heard in my life. so their you have it the truth. and by the way im 27 i been around hip hop just as long as you have.so dont try to avt like you no more than me cause i will distory you .and one more thought before i go.be safe cause theirs people trying to kill hip hop..
You'll destroy me? Nah... I can't see it.
The Panters were dismantled by the CIA. I don't see how you find that funny. J Edgar Hoover put crack in our neighborhoods as a response to the Panthers, but I guess that's a laughing matter to someone such as yourself with an abundance of knowledge. Do you READ?
Anyway, back to PUN and his G RAP style. Watch this video and tell me that...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aLArzYEsDRU
I'll go ahead and laugh now. AHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!!! Lies!
Hey Hot, you watch that video yet? A man can admit he's wrong...
Here's your chance.
The video is there for everyone to see. And the video is well before Pun came up. Shit, it was even before Nas came up.
You probably didn't even know this song existed huh?
DAAAAAAAAAMN Homeboy, you were talking mad shit about "distory"ing me. Where ya at? Now you know huh?
Your hero Big Pun jacked his style. It's sad that so called hip hop fans don't even know what's up.
You're an idiot.
I really wish that you'd try to school me so I can shut you down again.
I'm getting bored.
Y'all niggas are corny.
Wassup to my San Diego, Long Beach and LA niggas!?!
ha ha in this battle i used my fist you used a knife, in other words im telling you what i no your looking things up you can post all of kool g raps videos he ever made but as i se in your letters that you type you arent that smart. and he seems that your nevous.well fack is big pun was better, u lost i won.always think first before you move. oh yea and buy the way since your bring our videos post a link of 2pac doing the mc hammer dance on stage on one of the digital underground videos..pun was better the end.i wont commet no more cause why try to distory something that allreay got distroyed my job is done peace!!!!!

Born in The Bronx during the early years of hip-hop, Christopher Rios grew up enjoying basketball, boxing, and other sports. He met his wife Liza in the eighth grade. At the age of five, he broke his leg in a Manhattan municipal park, resulting in a lawsuit against the City of New York, later settled out of court. By all accounts from Pun's family, his early years were very difficult, including witnessing his mother's drug abuse, his father leaving the family, and a step-father who was very hard on Pun. According to his grandmother, Pun would become angry and self-destructive, punching holes in the walls of his family's apartment and eating the pieces of sheetrock that fell out. At the age of 15, Rios dropped out of Stevenson High School and for some time was homeless, staying in abandoned buildings or at friends' homes.[1] Sometime during the '80s, he began to write rap lyrics, forming the Full a Clips Crew with Triple Seis, Cuban Link at the time named "Lyrical Assassin", Prospect and Big Moon Dawg. Rios met fellow Puerto Rican and Bronx rapper Fat Joe in 1995 and made his commercial debut on Joe's second album, Jealous One's Envy (J.O.E.), in addition to appearing on a b-side to Joe's "Envy" single, "Fire Water."
"I'm Not a Player" (featuring an O'Jays sample) was supported by a significant advertising campaign and became an underground hit. The song's remix, "Still Not a Player" (featuring Joe), became Big Pun's first major mainstream hit. His full-length debut Capital Punishment followed in 1998, and was the first album by a solo Latino rapper to go platinum, peaking at #5 on the Billboard 200. Capital Punishment was also nominated for a Grammy, but lost out on the award to Jay-Z's Vol. 2: Hard Knock Life. He became a member of The Terror Squad, a New York-based group of Latino rappers founded by Fat Joe, with most of the roster supplied by the now-defunct Full a Clips Crew.
Despite his athletic adolescence, Big Pun struggled with his weight for most of his life; his weight fluctuated between heavy in the early 90s and obese. In the last years of his life he fluctuated between 450 and 700 pounds. At Fat Joe's urging, Big Pun enrolled in a weight-loss program at Duke University in North Carolina, at which he lost 80 pounds, but he quit the program before completing it, returning to New York and gaining back the weight he had lost. On February 7th, 2000, Big Pun suffered a fatal heart attack.
His second album, Yeeeah Baby, completed before his death, was issued as scheduled in April 2000. It peaked at #3 on the Billboard charts and earned gold record status within three months of its release. A second posthumous album, Endangered Species, was released in April of 2001. Endangered Species collected some of Pun's "greatest hits," previously unreleased material, numerous guest appearances, and remixed "greatest verses." As with his other albums, it also peaked in the top ten of the Billboard 200, reaching #7, but didn't sell as much as the previous Pun albums had. In 2002, Pun's widow, Liza Rios, released a documentary about her late husband, Still Not a Player. The film features commentary from many of Pun's close friends and family members, details the struggles with his weight, and also reveals how at times, Pun would become physically abusive with his wife - in one scene, he is caught on camera while pistol whipping her. [1] The release of the documentary and its content caused a falling out between Fat Joe and Rios, as Rios repeatedly claimed to have not received any royalties from the sales of Endangered Species, which was where the proceeds from that album's sales were designed to go. [2]
In recent times, Big Punisher was featured with Fat Joe on "Duets: The Last Chapter," Notorious B.I.G's most recent album. The track "Get Your Grind On" begins with a Big Pun radio interview in which he said he would perform a duet with Biggie at the gates of heaven. [3] Punisher was also featured on a track from the revived Terror Squad's second album, True Story, on the track "Bring 'Em Back." Pun is featured on Chinga Chang Records mix tape "Stackin Euros" with the track "Bronx Niggaz" Sony Records has been considering releasing a second posthumous album featuring unreleased material [4], but the project is being delayed by Sony. [5] Liza Rios also held an auction in 2005 for her deceased husband's Terror Squad medallion, citing financial difficulties in the wake of Pun's death, and again claiming to have not received any royalty checks for Pun's posthumous album sales (save for a small check from the sales of Endangered Species). [6]
[edit]
Style
Big Pun's output featured complex rhyme schemes and wordplay, multi-syllabic verses, a strong ability to stay on beat, and relentless "flow." He is heavily influenced by the New York rapper Kool G Rap. Another noted aspect of his work, his ability to recite long passages without taking a breath, may have resulted from his large size (as with certain opera singers in the Luciano Pavarotti mold).
Example Verses:
... - all my memories are vivid; I remember only minutes
That's how I mentally get rid of all the enemies,
The spirits that definitely mimic my every melody
And lyric which's so heavenly rhythmic.
In magic do I build, but math do be equally compatible
And secretively battle you to reach my peak in equilateral
I'm from the streets, deep in the barrio, yo aint no Mario Brothers
Official Bronx niggas, quick to body yo mother (ouch!)
- Big Punisher, My Turn
Just call me Baby Jesus 'cause lately niggas be praisin me
Just for the way I blaze the beat crazily, tape to CD lasery
It pays to be amazingly flavory
Gaaaaaze into my rhymes that basically hypnotize you occasionally
- Big Punisher, Super Lyrical
Dead in the middle of Little Italy, little did we know
that we riddled some middlemen who didn't do diddily
- Big Punisher, Twinz (Deep Cover '98)
Nothing worse than a nigga in denial. It's sad when people can't admit that they're wrong...
...stupid, childish, misinformed, ignorant, full of shit, etc.
And how can you proclaim that I'm not smart? Compare my grammar and spelling to yours. You obvioulsy attended a horrible school.
Just quit while you're behind. You're making an ass of yourself.
And scared, NO. I'm a cat that works out daily and used to beat niggas like you up as a hobby when I was a kid. Times have changed and I'm a grown man now, but I'd still whoop your punk ass.
Thank you BIG PUN for writing this...

I rest my case.
Before I go, let me say that my argument with Hot is a good example of how people associate their beliefs with facts as if they are one in the same.
Peopl have faith in our government as if they are doing what's best for the people because it's easier to assume the best than to face reality and learn that it's the worst possible situation that we're facing, extermination.
I urge my people to wake up TODAY.

Your government has a plan for you, it's called DEATH.
Why do you think they allow Flouride, which has no medical beneifits, and is the main ingredient in rat poison, PROZAC and Serin Nerve gas to be dumped into our drinking water?
Did you know that this is EXACTLY what the NAZIS did to the jews? It's fact. Look it up yourselves.
By the way, all of the cancers and brain disorders, including ADHD are effects of Flouride. Also, if you use flouride toothpaste, you're doing yourself a disservice. It actually decays teeth as well, so you can go get mercury based fillings.
Mercury, found in our vaccines as a preservative is OUTLAWED in Europe and not even approved to be given to animals. But, you can find it all over the brain dead USA. I wonder why people are seem so slow and obese here... hmmm...
Could it be intentional?

Dead in the middle of Little Italy, little did we know
that we riddled some middlemen who didn't do diddily

oh yea and buy the way wont you worry about the black people that are killing people each other in the streets.your just some dumn hood niga that post things about thje goverment in sted of going out and doing something like that. dont you no the cia and those dudes kill distroy hood nigaz like you you have no clue what youre talking about, wont you help stop blacks from killing each other in the streets, insted of blameing everything on the goverment,we all no their shady but you posting thigs about it isent doing shhit.but im done with you i dont talk to niggers. i talk to smart black people and other smart people.your commets are hammy down ive heard it all before you just fell in your own dumnbess with he say she say hood nigger garbage wanna be martian luther king talk peace..lol
and if i had miss spells it cause i type fast
damn that kid hott just school somebody lmfao
yal dudes is wilding, yo anyone know when styles p album drop?? i red all those post above id say big was dope 2 pac was dope but big pun was 10x more dope.
hate floating ass motherfuckers how the hell can you NOT give tupac props i keep telling yall mofos these messicans dont give a flying fuck about us they float on us then when they dont need us or its time to give the black man/woman his/her props they pull an arnold jackson on yo ass(whuchu talkin bout willis?) im sure everybody agree pun was better lyrically but pac pound for pound in a class by himself but they wanna stray away from the REAL ISSUE
I usually read these blogs to amuse myself but I would be lying to myself if I denied the fact these are starting to go from amusing to disturbing and outright direspectful. why don't ya'll learn to respect the dead and let them rest in peace? if memory serves me well this blog was about tupacs memory and what he said not about biggie or pun. bloggers please read before you write.
another thing, I hear a lot of you talk about lyrics, do you really know what lyrics are all about? pac had lyrics real deep lyrics he had something to say you could feel him. biggie had something to say too,he had a tight flow, he could make you picture what he was saying even if it was not relevant. Pun on the other hand played with words without sending any actual message he was just a rhyme sayer he might stand out with good rhymes but his lyrics were empty no disrespect, but comparing him to pac and biggie would be comparing tongue twisters to actual poetry. in my opinion pac was king of heart felt lyrics, biggie was king of the flow and pun is undeniably the king of the tongue twisters.
Finally, only the ignorant can say tupac did not live what he said. his albums had uplifting messages and tons of violence which lead to his death. and that was the life he lived what I'd suggest you say next time is he should have followed only the positive he preached.......... Rest in peace to all the dead, kings or slaves good or wack peace!!!!.
im sorry but 2pac wasent shhit are you likeing him cause everybody likes him, cause all he did was rap he never saved nobodys life ,he never gave to the poor so stop talking about him like hes a hero, you black people find the most savage mother fuckers to call your hero. smh.
this is not feb 7 10 years after pun died or biggie.why the hell y'all mention them.this aint they post.go somewhere else with that shit if y'all cant respect this mans memory.yall make me sick every damn thang gotta turn into a who's better deal.thats that crabs in a barrel rearing its ugly head. RIP TUPAC also men get on my damn nerves trying to measure how much of a man the next man is...he wear flip flops,he was in a bubble bath,he aint no thug etc YOU A REAL MAN WHEN U DO U..

ACTUALLY PAC WAS FROM BALTIMORE, MD. EVERYBODY NEEDS TO STOP WITH THIS BULLSHIT. PAC WAS THE VOICE OF A GENERATION. YOU GOT NIGGAZ TRYIN THEIR HARDEST TO IMMULATE HIM. EVERYBODY IS ENTITLED TO THEIR OPINION. IF YOU THINK PAC WASN'T THE GREATEST, OH WELL BUT DON'T THROW DIRT ON HIS NAME NOW THAT HE'S DEAD. HE'S BEEN GONE FOR 10 YEARS (THIS LAST DECADE 96-06) & WE ARE SUPPOSED TO CELEBRATE HIS LIFE, ART & MUSIC. I GREW UP LISTENING TO PAC. IT'S BEEN 10 YEARS & MOTHERFUCKERS STILL HAVEN'T LEARNED ANYTHING FROM HIM & BIG'S DEATH. GROW THE FUCK UP PEOPLE. HIP-HOP IS NOT DEAD IT'S THE CORPORATE MOTHERFUCKERS TRYIN TO SABBOTAGE(S4S) THE GAME. LISTEN TO PAC'S RECORDS. HE MADE SOMETHING FOR EVERYBODY ESPECIALLY THE MINORITY COMMUNITIES. YES PUN WAS A LYRICAL BEAST, BUT THE MESSAGE THAT PAC CARRIED IN HIS MUSIC WAS WHAT IT WAS. THE THING THAT PEOPLE DON'T UNDERSTAND IS THAT HIS IMAGE & PUBLIC PERSONA OVERSHADOWED HIS MUSIC & CRAFT, BUT HIS MUSIC WAS NEVER OVERLOOKED OR IGNORED ENTIRELY. PAC WAS A SOLDIER & OUTSPOKEN LEADER FOR BLACK PEOPLE. HOW MUCH CANDDY PAINT, 84'S, & ICE GRILLIN CAN U DO IF U CAN'T GIVE SOMETHING TO THESE KIDS. THANKS BLACK ICE FOR BRINGING THIS BLOG TO THE FOREFRONT BECAUSE PAC IS THE MOST IDOLIZED HIP-HOP ARTIST EVER, PERIOD. BLACK ICE YOU NICE WITH IT TOO. PAC LIVES!! ILLUMINATI!!
TUPAC WUS GR8 BIGG WUS GREAT BUT NOW FINALLY MAYB THEY WOULD KEEP THESE TWO OUTTA THE FUCKIN MAGAZINES EVERY FUCKIN COUPLE OF MONTHS!!!
HIP HOP STILL LIVES JUS LYKE BIG AND PAC!!!
THE reason most of these assholes is getting tired of People talking about PAC is because they all know his messages about:
Poverty, inequality, drug addiction, and police brutality were themes that no other rapper besides TUPAC has been able to articulate to the masses. I never heard BIG PUN talk about the struggles PR people went through. Rice and beasns was the only thing on that fat asses mind
"Black Ice Remembers Tupac Shakur: Bomb First"
And ya'll talking about Big Pun and Biggie? There really isn't nothing to say to you ignorant disrespectful people regarding your comments about everyone BUT who the topic is based upon because the next post will be a former blogger trying to justify themselves by repeating what was already said about Big Pun and/or Biggie, or it will be someone trying to dissect what I posted and try to argue with me. Get an education people! Where are all my black people at? Niggers are making ya'll look bad and society is known for judging one by its worse specimen!
RIP PAC
One Love
You guys sound so fucking lame arguing over who's better..Pac or Pun( God Bless they're souls). Why dont you guys start writing beef tracks, and just get it over with? Incase you lames can't rhyme I'll start it off for ya'll

"Pour out a little liquor" We love you 2Pac and we miss you!!! You were the best and NO ONE came close. NO ONE is coming close now.
Peace and love.
Staying on the Tupac theme. Tupac seemed like he stood for change. So I wanna ask ya'll ( In the Memory of His legacy) How do yall think we could they way were living?
TUPAC SHAKUR IS THE GREATEST
ok since nobody has an opinon I guess I'll share mine.
I believe before we can change our actions, we must first change our mind state. See our mind controls our action..in other words when you mind is fucked up..you tend to do fucked things.
For example I always hear people say things like "we need more parks in the hood","or we need more liberys." Truth of the matter is what good is the park goin be for the kids when theres dope deals goin down right where the play? Or what good is a libery when people dont read. Cause lets be honest ignornance is something that runs rampant threw our society..hell just look at some of the comments posted up to see if I'm liying. We (poor people) constantly get told every day that "we ain't shit if we don't got shit". So if you have this mindstate then robbing somebody or selling crack is nothing. Because yet again the mindstate is" I ain't shit anyway!" So I believe once we change that frame of mind thats when we'll see change.
This was a blog about Tupac and his positive message not about his skills. So anything else said is irrelevant. I really wish he was alive.
In response to Anon:
We need to enrich our minds.when our brains are fully fed then we need to find something legal and EXCEL AT IT
tUPACS DEFINITION OF THUG WAS A PERSON WHO CAME FROM NOTHING BUT STILL MANAGED TO MAKE GOOD WITH THEIR LIFE.
Its a no brainer
Man this site illustrates the battle blacks must have with some people who continually disrespect black heros. THIS IS A POST ABOUT PAC NOT BIG PUN. SOHH IS ON SOME OFFBRAND STUFF ATTRACTING THESE OFFBRAND PEOPLE - THIS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE ART IS COMMERCIALIZED - BEFORE RAP MOST OF THESE CATS PROBABLY ONLY LISTENED TO HEAVY METAL OR PUNK!!! THE WAR MUST BEGIN - PEOPLE WAKE UP.
Biggie, Pun, G rap they're all great mc's but were talkin about 2pac in this joint. Get yer shit straight dickheads!!!
OK I guess that question was too deep so let me ask something more on ya'll level.
Yo Son you heard that nigga Tru Life dissing Dip Set? Or Do you think TI was really in the hood putting work in?
Although Tupac was the Best rapper to walk the earth he wasnt without sin.
Promoting drug use and EXCESIVE DRINKING ISNT GOOD FOR HIPHOP OR SOCIETY AT ALL. iN LIEU OF THAT I still bow down to the Man KNown as "Machiavelli"
Until the End of time
Truthseeker exactly...once he got with Suge he lost his main focus and was on some other shit. Thats the main thing I disliked about him. If anybody remembers when he really "first" became the least bit noticed, his whole style was different, then he came out with Suge and was some on other shit. Like wtf happened? But yall Pac and Pun fans are tripping. There aint no "best"...matter of fact, its all based on opinion anyway. But I do feel he was way overrated. Still an opinion. But this blog is about his "message" not his "skills" as someone already said.
One thing we need to understand. We as black people fear whites. They dictate to us what we do. Hip hop has died due to white record executives only promoting the negative bullshit that is expected of black people. These hungry niggas that have no regard for for black people will say and sell anything just to make a buck and satisfy Ol' Massa. Even Pac was a victim of that. He talked a lot about uplifting the black community and how we need to take care of self, but he was the main one talking about shooting niggas on his songs. He did what Ol Massa wanted him to do. Got rich by selling violence and destruction to his people. Pac was a fake. He went from being a back up dancer to a super thug. In what hood is this allowable? He had great ideals and a vision far beyond his own belief. You can't preach, we need to save ourselves and turn around and promote killing ourselves. A little off note but to the point, if Martin Luther King was still alive he would have bitch smacked more than half these rappers out here, including Pac. A great light was shunned in a destructive soul. Thats what I think of Pac. There will never be unity because blacks and niggas are too busy chasing the white mans gold. They have no self value or self esteeem so they try to fill that void by seeking outside of themselves to attain what is someone elses. (Versace, Jacob the jeweler, bentley's etc...)If we did unite and spend our own money in our own hoods, we would run this country. Do ya'll remember when Martin Luther boycotted the buses? Only through keeping the black dollar to ourselves will get the world to comform to what is true. Black people should run this country. Martin was not assasinated due to civil rights. He wasn't in civil rights when he was killed. Due to the boycott of the buses he found that black america could gain its freedom through centralizing the dollar. We make the white man powerful by buying all of his products. We send his kids off to college while we struggle to finds grants and schools that will accept us. The mind set of black america is destructive. We do not make any sense. Example. How is it we can call each other nigger but can't be called nigger by anyone else. We provide the excuse, it's different. No it is not. A nigger is a niggers like a sheep is a sheep. To be truthful, when our ancestors died in slavery, that word nigger should have died with them. Somehow it has endured and become a word the indicates someone black. If there was a room with 25 white people and 10 black people, and someone shouted out, "I hate all niggers," not one white person would be offended. The black people will get mad and start acting like niggers. Why is that we identify ourselves as niggers. The definition of nigger is an ignorant person. It does not identify by color, but for some strange reason we automatically identify ourselves with that word. Once we learn to be a black nation instead of a nation of niggers, we will overcome. Pac's vision will come to pass.
edit: Ay, least bit noticed as a actually solo ""artist"".
nice sarcasm...anonymous..i guess.
Son I feel you for feelin me. But I dont believe Pac was overrated only because of what he talked about. Like I know he probably didn't have the best flow or use the best methphors but I think he wrote real honest lyrics and accomplished alot more than most of these rappers out now an back then. Lets not let us forget that he only died at 25. I mean Eminem became at star at 27, So did Jay-Z and to be honest I bet more people around the world know about Pac then they do those two. So I think this man has definately earned his spot.
@kubdabillcolekta
let me ask you this..would white people have anything to promote if weren't out there acting like assholes?

^ I agree with a lot of that but some of that I just cant agree with.
Black People always love to play the victim. I can't stand that. We always say "The White Man this, the white man that" Fact of the matter is A BLACK PERSON PROBABLY IS THE ONE RESPONSIBLE FOR KILLING TUPAC. We always say the white man brought drugs into the hood ( which is true) but whos selling it? MotherFuckers that look just like me, that who.
I'm sorry If I come across harsh but like the Art of War teaches "You Never Give Your Enemy Ammunition Against You"
and black people give white people so much ammuntion for them to disrespect us.
An they say its the white man I should fear/but its my own kind doing all the killing here.
Tupac Shakur-
To @ . : I think he accomplished what he wanted to and I truly believe he meant a lot of what he put across but like I said in the other blog, his actions contradicted them a lot to the point where you question if he was just saying all this shit mostly for attention and some type of power or if he really meant it. I dont know if you get what Im saying though...I still think he was overrated in a sense that some people seem to look at him like hes Black Jesus or something. Just doesnt even seem natural. He made a ton of mistakes and contradictions just like everybody else. And many people didnt consider him the GOAT until he died. I remember when his first album came out, nobody even cared much about Pac then once he changed a lot of his style on some "shoot em up", fake gangsta, but I like giving Black unity speeches (which doesnt make sense to me) all these so called fans came about. Then after he died...whoa everybodies a fan now..doesnt make sense but I guess thats just how it is huh?
Thats the thing with people..they hate you when your alive then wanna give you a tribute when your gone.
Thats been goin on for years though...hell just look what happen to Jesus
I shouldn't have entertained Hot's argument about Pun being the better emcee, because it turned this blog into a pile of garbage.
In response to Hot claiming that I'm a "hood nigger", I'm a grown man with a family taking care of business. I don't do corners, that's juvenille.
The only reason I took the argument so far is because this asshole doesn't know anything about hip hop and was annoying the shit out of me.
But back to TUPAC. There's no denying his greatness and LIKE I SAID BEFORE (read back) he died just as he was reaching his prime. For those who say that he sold out to SUGE, he used SUGE to get him out of a legal situation and was on his way to completing his contract with Death Row and starting his own label right before he was killed.
He was only playing the part he had to play to move to point that he could do what he wanted to. No doubt, he had some bad tendencies, but he is not unlike most of us in that regard.
Speaking of Suge how did Suge get him out of jail anyway? That always seemed fishy to me. Who granted him so much power? And why was he barely scratched when TUPAC was shot if they were both in the same car? Did TUPAC know too much? If not why were their so many attempts on his life? They all seem like street conflicts on the surface, but c'mon...
RIP TUPAC
Yeah thats the truth.....still doesnt make sense but the truth nontheless. Its pretty sad. From Pac, to Aaliyah, to Pun etc until they died thats when all the "extra" fans came running. I guess it really is, just the way it is. The Jesus point hit the nail.
Anon, I mean Hot, SHUT THE FUCK UP!
YEA I AGREE BIG PUN HAD WAYY MORE SKILLS THAN PAC AND BIGGIE , THEY JUST DONT WANNA BELIVE A PUERTO RICAN CAN BE A GOOD RAPPER.WELL IN PUNS CASE THE BEST DEAD RAPPER RIP PUN BEST RAPPER EVER...... PAC AND BIGGIE WERE NOTHING BUT GIMMICKS..

PSSST, yeah right too bad he couldn't put down that cheese burger. CHOKE CHOKE
But dude was nice though LOL!!!
On the real, the dude PAC helped opened my eyes to see the ills that society has. I feel the government had something to do with this, If u go to allhiphop.com and read the interview w/ his step pops you' ll learn a lot about his family.
yo i loved pac's shit from day one... but true lyrically and skillwise big pun is prolly the best. he can kill any track, man he's a beast. but u can compare pac and pun like that... and yall know what i mean.
Tupac Shakur RIP!
big pun was a good rapper but he will never be pac or big and right now all the spic rappers and reggaton is fucking up the game worse than r&b cats
This isn't a who's a better rapper blog. It's a blog about remembering Tupac. Give him some respect and stop arguing about meaningless topics.
Tupac was originally from NY.Move to Baltimore when he was 13 or 14.Whoever ya'll think is the greatest is your opinion but to say f#ck the dead is totally unneccessary.RIP to all of our fallen soldiers.Tupac,Biggie, and Big Pun was crazy nice on the mic.To me they all had different styles.
there will never be another pac' because, he did have the total package. from the time era that he was born, his mother high position in the panther party, his god father geronomo pratt. He said he came from the gutter. But in reality he was a prince. And mr. Surge night said that him and pac was joking about who was hurt worst, pac had a lung blown out, noway. And for who was the greatest, pac had the us government trying to blacklist his music and he still in the book of records for selling the most albums in hip hop history and this the realist words that i ever spoke. Againest all odds.
TO MY NIGGA PAC.
THE TRUTH: this the truth....BIG PUN was a great Lyricist, BIGGIE was a great lyricst and rapper, BUT PAC was only a great artist and not only artist a very educated human being...and those who just flat out say that BIG PUN was better should just go sit down, eat a taco and listen to reggaeton...
Pac was a living legend as well as Big and Pun. So please all you ignorant ignorant ignorant ass folks comparing the deceased please stop do it another day. Or don't do it at all it is lame we knew there attributes and what they brought to hip hop, rap, or whatever you choose to call it . ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Never saved nobody's life?? Tell Treach that
To all the people who involved themselves in the "pun/tupac" argument:
CHILDERN WERE MEANT TO BE SEEN, NOT HEARD!
I wish Tupac was still alive because I know he would have something sensable to say.
AllHipHop.com: On VH1’s Hip-Hop Honors, when Nas came out with the bandana and Tupac’s face on his shirt, the cameras captured you in a very emotional state. What were you experiencing at that moment?
Sekyiwa Shakur: I probably shouldn’t say this, but I was so upset because Nas didn’t know the words, that’s what I was thinking about. Nas went and said that he and ‘Pac were cool before Pac died, but when he actually had to do [a tribute song], he had to read the words from the teleprompter and he was messing up.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
WOW!!!!
THIS IS THE LAME THAT CLAIMS "HIP HOP IS DEAD" & HE IS "REAL HIP HOP"? GET THE $%#^ OTTA HERE!
NAS WOULD LIKE FOR YOU TO THINK HE WAS COOL WITH PAC BUT IT'S HARD TO BELIEVE WHEN IT COMES OUT OF PAC'S MOUTH THAT HE DIDN'T CARE FOR YOU.

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST THE WHOLE MUTHAFUCKIN WEST COAST
No doubt Pun was sick. But he only had two albums. And please stop putting this distiction between Blacks and Puerto Ricans. Alot of boriquas-as was Pun-are Black Latinos. No one doubts his claiber as a lyricist. You're trying to compare apples and oranges. If Pac wasn't great, then you wouldnt be talking about him now. His catalouge is deep with great music. Pun and Biggie were far superior wordsmiths but they coudn't reach the masses like Pac did. He had our hearts and our minds. And to Simple Solution-I dont think any Black person denies mistreatment of anyother group both here or abroard. We know the Chinese got it bad as well as the true idgenous people of this land, the Native American. However, this country was built off the backs of Slaves; Black Slaves. Free Labor helped this country explode into the superpower that is today. If you cant understand our struggle dont speak on it. I think KAtrina showed the world what America really thinks of Niggas.
ya serious talkn bout big pun is better den pac and biggie? get tha fuk outta hea
Pac died like a gangsta

RIP Pac...I'm mad someone is bringin up Pun who was great too. Let Pac have his moment 10 years ago hip hop was at it's peak creatively, and shit's not even close now.
Some of the comments on here reflect a lot of peoples age when Pac was alive, so I can't even fault you. I suggest going to the record store and purchasing shit from that era, then you won't be on here (or any other blog) saying the same bullshit.
Man if you wasn't feelin what Black Ice was sayin and all you have to respond to it is the usual semi-racist rhetoric then you probaly aren't black but just a azzhole who thinks they have legitmate base of facts which are bullshit. The enigma that has black people in america in a vice is the disacknowledgement of the real force that is keeping us back. As predicted many will say i'm blaming the white man which you can not deny and if so you are a fool who can't face the truth; But the main element to blame is the cowardice manifested inside my black people in america. Sure much more positive things could have been done but the simple will to put forth is a tremendous step to overcome as for an example, think back to the times of the 60's of Malcolm and Martin and see how shocked and hostile things became when simple truths were unveiled. But really who is to blame? All of the most brilliant of black leaders were assasinated or ignored by their own people for reasons of stupity such as the skin tones of light and dark, jealously, & greed. If theres anything that has held things in despair its the love of money which has enticed more black people to sell out and keep their people in decaying position into a pit. Now i can sympathize with some of who say the complaining done by black people is a annoyance at some point but it is only because no action has taken place and those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones look in the mirror.
Tupac to me seemed to be on a virge of becoming somthing greater than a rapper but a speaker for the state of the black nation. People forget that early on in his career he was black afrocentric and militant which drew me more to him than so his persona in all eyes on me. What i fear or hope that is being done undoubtly the reshaping of Pac into somthin he was not and manipulating his image into somthing to control black people similar to MLk. I remember hearing people talking about malcolm x like this saying that after he came back from Mecca, he was a changed man completely and was all for intergration and interracial marriage and all the things along that line which was completely false yet you find these lies in children's books. As a people we must embrace one another and store our own history as we see it not as dictated by others in a manner which suits them. All i have to say is dont forget the message and stay true to the real essence of the doing whats right-doing what has to be done and do not let anyone derail it.
some of the same people on here who dont believe the medias portrayal of 911 belive their portrayl of tupac.do your own research.watch resurrection, read mtv's lost interview, etc the man had a message.and the best thing about him was he could admit his mistakes and when he was wrong.now thats a man.he said he didnt go through some of the stuff he rapped about he said he never was arrested until he had a hit record.think about it thats when he became a threat.martin luther king probably didnt have a police ecord before he became a voice for the masses either.the point of it was he had a platform to get those stories heard and he used it.dante from the hood might not be able to tell his story of struggle but tupac could.people get so wrapped up in whether u actually went through it the message gets lost.
south rappers suxxx i hate then they wackkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
MrBlackMan, thanks for proving my point, always with the 'racist' card.. some of ya'll (black people) really don't get it at all. you have every opportunity that poor white/brown/yellow/etc people have (in some cases, more, based on where you live) and you keep screaming racism, when you are as guilty as anyone else of being 'semi racist' - white black green blue wtf ever... the world will never not be racist, but ya'll are fucking up any and every opportunity you have to make a difference.. THE SAME THING MY DUMB WHITE PPL IN THE SOUTH ARE DOING BY TRYING TO BECOME METH DEALERS. but the thing is i UNDERSTAND BOTH. after years of povetry and depression, eventually people, of any color, give up. ya'll done gave up, we (poor white ppl just tryin to eat) are giving up.. and it's sad as fuck.. and the thing is, the people who are causing this (greedy people - black, white, hispanic, asian, etc) are laughing all the way to the bank... that was the whole point of my post, if that is 'racist' and whatever, oh well..
its like this, a white person gos in the hood he gets looked at funny, a black person gos to a white nabor hood he gets looked at funny. black people need to wake up cause now a days theirs blacks that work for the goverment, theirs black judges, black lawyers, blacks in music, movies, sports, companys, and so forth, sorry i dont feel sorry for blacks like any other race.every colar went threw sone type of slavery .every shade of colar went threw hard times.you guys blame the slave masters their all dead and gone just like the blacks hispanics, and jews that were eaither killed or in slavery.you no what it is black people try to use that slave thing to make people feel sorry for them and they try to get over.in 2006 that doesnt work no more, it used to work but now people are seeing the big picture.i dont feel sorry for blacks not even i little bit. amd if you look it up the romans were the first slaves and roman people are white.million of jews were killed in germany in the 40s,jews are white.they dont walk around feeling sorrry for them selfs, but like i said dont say u cant make it in life, cause theirs black people that own a lot of things, so maybe its your own kind that wont hire you.and also if you go by the name nigger people are gonna call you that.
NO DISRESPECT TO BIG PUN, BUT I'M HONORING THE GREAT LATE 2PAC SHAKUR. THE MAN WAS THE BEST RAPPER IN THE GAME...PERIOD.
everybody roll a blunt and smoke in the memory of pac at 4:03p.m.(the time he died) rest in peace homie.
nah im not gonna smoke in memory of 2pac i rather smoke a blunt in honer of dr king jr. thats a real hero.2pac was a fake thug that cause troble.it seems u honer bad people insted of the good ones . read up read about the real heros.thats that you speak about ..no props over here towards 2pac.
THE WORST STANS>> EMINEMS FANS,,ROCKFELLA STANS,, AND DIRTY SOUTH STANS
alright i got respect for big pun, tupac and bigge. but i think tupac was the greast artist out of the three, biggie was the best rapper, and big pun was the best lyricist of them. ok and im a young white kid but don't say i didn't grow up how rap talks about i grew up in south east dc. but i don't listien to the ish on the radio i listien to real rap such as big pun, big l, wu-tang, NWA. so dom't say i dont no what im talking about.
Why dont the people on here (SOHH) make more of an effort to reach out to the black community in a positive way, instead of talking about who rides the cleanest out of all the rappers. Look at how many people you can reach through this blog - why does it always have to be the same debate about who is the best rapper, and which rappers are gay? SOHH listen up: you have the power to reach many people that can make a difference just by the amount of traffic on this internet site. Instead of writing about improving the community, why dont yall HELP IMPROVE the community every day?? You could put a post on here every day that is positive, or show how everyone can help in there community. Hip hop is entertainment and trust me, I love hip hop. But aint no hip hop gonna help your kids out with homework or help you raise a family in a good neighborhood. Instead of honoring Tupac (who had an actual message rather than just good rhyme-schemes about practically nothing like most rappers), y'all should try to lift up the communities even if you're just trying to do it through a few posts a day. Stop talking about it and be about it!!!
MAN I AINT WANNA BRAG N SHIT BUT I'M 2 PAC'S BIOLOGICAL COUSIN AND IT HURT ME THE 2ND BLOGGER TALK THIS BULLSHIT BOUT MY FAM..."????" WAS DUDE NAME AND STRAIGHT UP YOU NOTHING BUT A HATER...GO TO HELL YOU ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT YOU.
i dont give a fuc whos cuz you are pac wasent shhit. lol intill nigaz giving me money to talk good about them i dont give a fuc.its like that
sayin who was a better rapper is impossible, its an opinion and everyone's will be different. however it is much easier to say that tupac had a bigger and better influence. sure he did some tracks that were about the same shit you hear today, but so much of his music meant more and it's a shame that he died so young. very few people have the ability to say something relevent and get people to listen the way that he did and if he was still alive today i feel sure that whether or not he was still doing music he would still be impacting everyone's lives in politics and elsewhere. imagine what the government would have to deal with if there was someone as influential, intellegent, and active as tupac in today's society. i certainly don't see how life would be any worse.
2 pac stans i hate tham go away
this aint no fuckin west coast blog. The west never talks about big pun. he was koo but he wasnt on pac's level. Not even close. pun wasnt even on biggie's level. Pac is the greatest Period
puns from the east first of all and pun would have distroy, burn, hacked up,totally turn pac in to pieaces if they ever battled . pun was better, and if you think other wise your a 2pac stan.
oh yea and he would have done the same to biggie, bigie wasent shhit look who he rolled wit..

Jay-Z vs. Terror Squad: While the beef between Jay-Z and Terror Squad member Big Pun is only rumored, the bad blood between him and Fat Joe has become increasingly publicized. Rumors state that Jay, Dame Dash and Sauce Money had an altercation with Big Pun, Fat Joe and Cuban Link in a New York club. The story goes that Jay-Z was performing drunk, and Terror Squad walked on stage and told him to get off for their set. Jay-Z punched Fat Joe and was then hit with a bottle of champagne in the head by Big Pun. After this, several subliminal disses may have been traded before Pun's death; afterward, and on up to the present, Jay and Fat Joe have sent more thinly-veiled subliminal at each other, some referencing a Roc-a-Fella/Terror Squad truce basketball game which the Roc forfeited.
found that in the terror squad vs jay z, wikipedia.

@ Black Ice and SOHH
Were my words so powerful that you had to censor me? There are people who are blatantly ignorant and disrepectful on this blog and their posts stay but my own filled with nothing but facts albeit facts YOU choose to ignore is removed?
If their is no room for objectivity or intellectual debate on your site then your site is nothing more than a forum for ignorance.
Black Ice: I sure hope you have a better marketing strategy for your books because relying on this crowd to sell books is foolhardy.
Dag why people gotta take away from Pac. Instead of showing respect for that man and what he did people gotta tear him down just to boost up other artist. Aiight Black Ice said nothing bad about Pun. Its cool if you like Pun. But, what that got to do with Pac. Thats what Ice is talking about...why we dont have anything now. They both died prematurely but this is the anniversary of his death. When Puns rolls around and SOHH dont post a blog about him then say something. But yaw aint gotta tear BIG and PAC down like that.
all yah pac haters stop hating
"YEA I AGREE BIG PUN HAD WAYY MORE SKILLS THAN PAC AND BIGGIE , THEY JUST DONT WANNA BELIVE A PUERTO RICAN CAN BE A GOOD RAPPER.WELL IN PUNS CASE THE BEST DEAD RAPPER RIP PUN BEST RAPPER EVER...... PAC AND BIGGIE WERE NOTHING BUT GIMMICKS.."
You gotta be shittin me! pac wastn only a rapper kid, he was intelligent, thoughtful and he did more than just rap. He tried to enlighten his people to not make the mistakes he made...know what you're talking about b4 you say it please...Every rapper you know of claim to be gangsta or a thug....who you think that came from???? Pun(r.i.p) was too busy eating to help uplift his people.
I hate to say this but slavery and ignorance and racism play a big part in the problems that we suffer for today.
1. The breakdown in the black family(direct affect from slavery)Black people in someway psychologically conditioned to unaturally be able to coexist without their family. I am happy to say that we as black people are taking care of our responsibilities to our families allot more now.
2.Ignorance. Ignorance is two fold first we must understand that AmericKKKa is like a game. The minute you master the game a new set of rules are created to make achieving the american dream harder.
We must learn that we cannot depend on the government to do anything for you. for some of us the pyschological enslavment is the idea that waiting on uncle sam on the first and the 15th is a better option than earning a minimum wage. True in one sence if you think about logistics but in terms of earning a living and the psychological prowess of earning a living, building responsibility and open ones mind to potential possibilities are two different things.
We are learning the game and achieving great things but we must learn to help each other, vote and use our financial strength to gain a greater foothold in AMERIKKKA!
sorry for the misspellings in a bit of a rush! one!
Muthafuckas need 2 stop sayin that Pun was better than Pac and B.I.G. bullshit. This blog is about the G.O.A.T. which is Pac, not no damn Big Pun. Don't get me wrong, I like Pun and Pun was nice and I think he is one of the most underrated rappers out there but come on now, he can't touch neither Pac nor B.I.G.. Pac was and still is the greatest rapper of all time. No dead or alive rapper touching this nigga Pac lyrically nor musically.
And that's that.
But still R.I.P. to Pac, B.I.G., and Pun
Also I give a R.I.P. shout out 2 Jam Master Jay, Big DS from Onyx ODB, Big L, and Freaky Tah.
South Bronx stand up.
Don't forget how alot of Mexicans and Puerto Ricans love the shit outta 2Pac. More Mexicans and Puerto Ricans would mentioned Pac and fuck with Pac before they would mentioned or fuck with Pun and Pun was a Puerto Rican.
On another note, Mexicans and Puerto Ricans don't get alone with each other. For a factual example, Why do you think there were so much controversy surrounding J-Lo when she was protraying Selena in that Selena movie and Selena was a Mexican and J-Lo is a Puerto Rican?
Far as B.I.G. goes, I don't give a fuck about him cause he wasn't really tight anyway but Pun ain't fuckin with Pac. No dead or alive muthafuckin rapper fuckin with Pac.
Pac is the G.O.A.T. hands down.
End of discussion.
"How many brothas fell victim to tha streetz
Rest in peace young nigga
there's a Heaven for a 'G'
be a lie
If I told ya that I never thought of death
my niggas
we tha last ones left
but life goes on....."

ionolsen20 May we exchange links with your site?
The problem is this. I'm not Black, but people need to unite. Damn man. I think that's what 2Pac as trying to say. And even now if you see it, Blacks needs to unite and work together. Blacks fighting Blacks will never solve anything. People need to put their pride and egos aside and let both side talk and see what both has to say.
If Blacks unite, work with one another and put money back into their community. I believe things can be better.
As far as comparing rappers. They are all good in their own ways. I like them all but for a different reason. You all may have an opinion on who is better, but think. Don't you still like them all for their own reason? Come on now people really. Let's start working together and once it's all said and done, start working with other ethnic groups. What is the world coming to? Working together and solving problems will end the culture of poverty and bring people out of ghetto.
Educations needs to be improved. Just remember that of course that there still is racist and all that crap but we gotta beat the ruling class at their own game. And remember I'm not even Black, I'm asian. I feel like all people need to get together and collaborate and work on projects to improve our life.
ionolsen22 Great website! Bookmarked! I am impressed at your work!
ionolsen22 HI! I love this place!
ionolsen22 Hello Jane, great site!
ionolsen22 Your site is very cognitive. I think you will have good future.:)
well all I can say is Pun good Biggie better, Pac greater than both, Eazy E the best, all that said why was Too Short the Highest paid rapper of all time where is Eazy and Too Short in these arguments, but out of all these rappers I Just named Pac is # 1 he had more passion for what he was doing why else would he still be havin more albums comming out 10 years after his Death if that dosent tell you he is on top of the game over Pun then you pun lovers are lost, # 2 would be Eazy, why he was gansta rap he started it all, but short lived like Pac, and Real mutha fuckin Gs is probably the greatist Diss againts another rapper ever made, #3 Too Short not so much Gansta rap more of Player type deal with his style, change the way of the time when Gansta rap was at its greatest and dominated with a differant style than gansta and made himself the highest paid rapper of all time, and this is fact, #4 Biggie much like Pac in a sence same sytle but his way of putting his lyrics together were not as great and most the time the subject he started in a rap change by middle of it and kinda took away the esance of it, plus I think the way his voice sounded kinda drew you to listen because it would draw you into it! Pun would be Last he was good but I belive if he would have live longer he would have overtakin all!
Unfortunally i was too young to know who tupac was when he was alive, The one thing i can say and everybody knows is true is that hip hop today is going to places it should not be. I HaVE heard way too many fake ass so called rappers trying to convince me there a thug. I havnt heard anything true for yearssssssss. PACS THE MOST REAL AND INTELEGENT RAPPER EVER. PS. paC WAS SET UP BY BAD BOYY. WHEN HE WAS SHOT IN 94. U THINK ITS ALL A COUNCIDENCE?????? NO WAY. AND ONE OTHERTHING WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH VH1 PUTTING JAY-Z BEFORE PAC AND BIGGY???? ENYONE?
ionolsen40 Your site is very cognitive. I think you will have good future.:)
ionolsen42 HI! I love this place!
a yall crazy pac was a beast and he was the best rapper of all times he opened my eyes to alot of stuff that is still going on till this day day yall dont know what yall talkin bout my nigga was reall nothig but reall he aint never purp
fuck biggie and big pun? mr BIG why dontya suck my dick?!
2paaac is a fucking leader not just an artist.. he used hipposion (like in the media and stuf) to speak about the most important things in our fucking world. and he told us not to forget to keep our head up.. through all this bullshit. respect for pac!
if yo alive keep it eazy man and if yo dead .. RIP.
Listen to me: This is my first comment that im puttin on here. now I am 28 years old and i am originally from New York City, I left New York when i was 15 and i moved to Los Angeles every summer i would come back to New York for the whole summer, then by the time i was 25 i moved back to new york for good. Im gonna keep it real. There is no such thing as the greatest rapper of all time. There were so many different type of rappers with different type of styles and different types of hip hop fans. some people say that the one who sells the most albums is the best rapper. but i think thats bullshit because some people rap for money and some people rap for the prestige of hip hop.
And just for the record where is 2pac really from? 2pac is from New York. if you listen real close to him talk, he's got a mixed accent between New York and california. listen to how he says certain words like "breavin", like on the intro of makavelli when he says you roaches is still breavin, that sounds like a new yorker or how he pronounces words like "here" and "there" listen to how he says the state "new York" he pronounces it like a new yorker. pac has some cali in him too but he doesnt have a deep cali accent because its mixed with his new york accent, besides pac has a lot of people out here new york especially family, hell the outlaws is from jersey, brick city, look at the video hit em up almost all the rappers in the video are from the east. but if you listen to his flow he's got an new york flow with a L.A. swagger. now my favorite rapper is nas(the ringleader) and pac is my second favorite rapper. but i would tell you that pac is better than nas(the ringleader) as far as getting the message across, but as far as talent wise nas(the ringleader) is better. and nas(the ring leader) reminds be more of Rakim than pac. if you listen to "against all odds" the part where pac says "god dont like ugly, yo nas it was written your whole damn style is bitten" you can hear pac say in the background "he rhymes like rakim" pac said it himself. and pac even said himself that hes from new york. and for you pro-westcoast lovers you need to travel more and live in other places so that you can really understand a person like pac cuz all that east/west beef was made up by the media, so that us minorities could go at eachother and kill eachother off, and not focus on the horrible things that the powers that be are doing to the people of america (the illuminati). and for the record im a black american and im from the bronx, the same place where pac is from, and i got much luv for big pun son was ill. and i love my puerto rican boriquas too. RIP Big Pun and RIP 2pac 1971-present(that nigga aint dead)
