Hot off the press this week Solange reveals what's up with Lil' Wayne's lollipop, LisaRaye's island drama continues, will.i.am is furious with Fergie and Aubrey keeps her sexual options open.

Knowles No Good
If Beyoncé is sugar and spice and everything nice – Solange is definitely the family's black sheep. Solo dropped by Sirius Shade 45's "Lip Service" show this week to talk about how she likes juggling men, admitting to a main dude AND some side pieces. She calls them her "meat and potatoes."
She also addressed the rumors about her relationships with Bow Wow (her "brother"), Weezy ("just friends") and Julius Peppers ("good friends"), pretty much denying any funny stuff.
Rebel Talking… Apparently since Jay-Z has retired from "Big Pimping," Solange has decided to keep it pimping for the family. Keep it pimpin' little mama!
Hot Mess-sick
After three weeks of DRAMA LisaRaye McCoy-Misick and her soon to be ex-husband Turks and Caicos Premier Michael Misick, still haven't gotten enough bad publicity.
You'd think after rape allegations, investigations into financial mismanagement, accusations of affairs with D-list celebs (*cough* Rocsi *cough*) they'd try to keep things private but LisaRaye has been popping up on red carpets, in Derek Blanks photoshoots and in candid paparazzi shots. Worse still, pictures from a physical exchange between Diamond LisaRaye and the Premier and his sister showcasing LisaRaye's bruised and bite marked body are currently on display on Essence.com. Oh yeah, and then there's the Premier's personal cheer squad who actually held a press conference to vocalize their disapproval of LisaRaye and her inability to fit in with the island's culture! [Watch Here]
Rebel Talking… Enough already! Since when did my mother's formerly favorite mag become Hot Messence.com? Come on LisaRaye, Diamond wouldn't take that sh*t from Ebony or Ronnie.
Bad Boys/Bad Girl?
Diddy briefly stole the shine from Michael Phelps last week when he declared to New York Magazine that he could easily score an Olympic gold in "who could have sex the longest," adding, "I think that's an event I can do well in. And probably who could stay up the longest."
Now his "Making the Band 4" protégé Donnie Klang has stepped up to defend the Bad Boy CEO telling SOHH exclusively, "First of all Diddy is probably one of the funniest people I know. I think a lot of people have him wrong. They're like is he arrogant, is he tough, is he mean, is he this, is he that. And really he's honestly just one of the funniest people I know." Klang even jumped in on Diddy's Olympics joke, adding "Since he's been around longer then he could have the gold but I'll be standing there accepting the silver medal."
When it comes to bad girl Danity Kane singer Aubrey O'Day, look for her in the freestyle medley competition. The brazen blonde admits love and sex are a free for all for her these days.
In a recent interview with Broadway.com Aubrey said, "At this point in my life I wouldn't say one way or another what my preference is sexually. The only thing I'm looking for in life is incredible passion and honest love, and if that's with a girl, a guy, a guy that dresses like a girl, a girl that dresses like a guy, whatever the options are on the table, all I really operate on is the way I feel in my heart when it comes to love."
Rebel Talking… Between these two and Cassie and her nipple rings, Bad Boy has clearly mastered the art of turning out young stars. Literally.
Split Peas?
It's no secret that the addition of token white gal Fergie gave the Black Eyed Peas a serious boost when she joined, but now rumor has it that her solo success is putting a hurtin' on group plans for their upcoming album this fall. According to the New York Post sources will.i.am is "furious" with Fergie Ferg because she "won't commit to a tour schedule to promote the album." Fergie is currently busy shooting the film Nine with Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz and Kate Hudson in Europe, and filming is expected to go into late fall and the movie, due out in December '09, is "her priority right now."
Rebel Talking… will.i.am should give Wyclef a call and ask him how to handle this. Then again, that new Fugees album never came out huh?
Brit Fit
Those British lasses are brawling again, and this time it's not Amy Winehouse throwing the punches. Earlier this week pop singer Lily Allen was caught on film trying to beat up a woman who called her an idiot. While leaving London's Groucho Club Allen reacted strongly to an onlooker who started hurling abuse at her by turning to the girl and yelling: "Come and say that to my face."
Lily then trailed her tormentor and tried hitting her three times, but failed to land any punches. The girl laughed off Lily's attacks and walked away. Friends tried to take Lily to a waiting car, but the still angry star kept the near fight on her mind asking, "Where is that b**ch, man? I'll f**king batter her." [Watch Here]
Rebel Talking… Didn't Lily Allen punch a paparazzo last year? She and Wino should do a British Anger Management tour or something, maybe they could get Naomi Campbell to host.
While you were ogling Hoopz on the latest cover of King we were wondering how Bobby Brown plans to pay back the $90,000 he owes his divorce lawyers. But hey, maybe R. Kelly will loan it to him since he's suing a couple Hollywood promoters for unfairly using his name to publicize an event.
I watched the video. I think it was a simpleton move. Lisa hasn't done anything to Turks/Caicos. Nothing that the Premier hasn't done already. In fact, her behavior is a notch UP from his over the last couple of years.
This is merely an attempt to save the economic boom they are experiencing. And the Premier probably paid them or threatened them to organize that event.
Women that Diss other Women in Public = Clowns
Countries Still Ruled by Great Britain = Circus
Two years ago, Benzino and Dave Mays started Hip Hop Weekly. But recent reports are claiming the magazine may be done before it has even really started.
The Source Magazine had become known as the hip-hop bible in its heyday. One of the first successful magazine’s of its kind, the monthly publication featured solid hip hop news, politics, respected album reviews, and served as a general how to guide for hip hop enthusiasts around the world.
The Rise & Fall Of The Hip Hop Bible
Founded in and distributed from the dorm room of college students Dave Mays and Job Shecter in 1988, The Source parlayed its success into TV programs and award shows. But the magazine soon found itself at the bad end of rap feuds, lawsuits, and angry subscribers.
Some argue that Benzino caused The Source’s demise. In 1994, it is said that Zino pressured Mays to include a three-page spread on him and his crew in the magazine. Things really got ugly when Zino performed at The Source Awards when he was virtually unknown to mainstream audiences. Word on the street was that several of the magazine’s editors quit or walked out because of Zino’s alleged bullying ways.
The nail in The Source’s coffin came in 1999 when Made Men received a rating of four and a half mics for their album “Classic Limited Edition.” Apparently, the writer who wrote the review didn’t even exist. Still, The Source had some fans still clinging to the hope that their once heralded magazine would rise to its full potential again.
The proverbial fecal matter began closing in on the fan back in 2002 when Benzino decided it would be a good idea to start a feud with Eminem. Zino slammed Em for being the product of a machine designed to eliminate Blacks and Latinos from hip hop. Diss tracks flew back and forth but with Em being the better MC, he pretty much sealed the deal on The Source’s credibility.
Benzino took his fight with Em from the tracks to the mag, dedicating whole issues to some racist remarks Em allegedly made. Although Benzino was subsequently fired, the magazine was never fully able to regain its status in the game.
With rumors swirling about Benzino’s trading cover slots for collaborations on his album, and the “CEO”/rapper randomly firing employees, the once mighty magazine crumbled into nonexistence. (See article about former Source Editor-in-Chief, Kim Osario’s “tell all” book.)
Dave Mays, Ray Benzino & Hip Hop Weekly
Mays and Benzino took their passion for publications to Hip Hop Weekly. Complete with (at times questionable) exposes, news, and gossip for hip-hop heads, the magazine seemed to be flourishing.
All seemed to be good in HHW land until SOHH, a popular online hip-hop magazine, reported on rumors of brewing financial troubles.
“According to my source, things have not been all that promising over at the HHW offices… which just SOHH happens to be Dave Mays living room,” read the blog. “… I don’t know how far they are with the filing the actual Bankruptcy paperwork.”
Benzino and Mays didn’t waste any time kicking down the reports, slamming them as completely untrue.
“… Dave Mays and Raymond Benzino have been the victim of false rumors for years, but they are not going anywhere and have in fact just recently opened a multi-million dollar facility with offices and state of the art recording studios in Miami. Currently the duo are readying their return to a monthly editorial format to compete directly against XXL, The Source, and Vibe at the beginning of the year with their new title Monsta.”
The question now becomes: When will hip hop magazines stop bickering amongst each other and stick to putting out good, quality news to the masses?
