Academy Award winner Denzel Washington is headed back to the big screen with his upcoming role in the new Hughes Brothers film Book of Eli.
According to Variety, the movie will take place in the not so far away future, with Washington cast in the hero role, fighting to save America’s remaining inhabitants.
Book of Eli marks Allen and Albert Hughes fifth film and their comeback to the silver screen since 2001’s dark horror film From Hell. Their catalog includes such 90s cult classics as Menace II Society, Dead Presidents and American Pimp.
