While everyone in the Kanye West camp is pushing for it to happen, at the moment it's completely up in the air and it could go either way.

My connect also said that even Jay-z's album might not be released this year. Though Jigga has been recording like crazy he may be in the same boat as West.

But I hear Hov really wants to do a joint tour with his wife Beyonce, so he would like to have a new album out to ensure it happens.

My source goes on to say, "People don't realize that artists need three months preparation for an album release." 

That means the album has to be done and turned into the label three months before the album hits stores. Clearly if they are not done recording and we are in mid September then I think we have our answer.
