Platinum-selling rapper Young Buck is showing his home state love by sponsoring the first annual Tennessee Music Conference and Hip-Hop Awards later this summer.

According to the official website tmchiphopawards.com, the former G-Unit rapper has partnered-up with Robert “Robski” Grady from Nashvillerap.com to sponsor the occasions which are expected to bring in well-known artists including 8-Ball, Project Pat, Yo Gotti, All-Star and many more.

“We want to honor and pay homage to the people who have helped to develop the TN Hip-Hop market to what it is, and work as a state to help to continue to build the market,” the site’s statement reads. “This event will help to establish a foundation in which the TN music community can use to help grow and develop their careers in music.”

Buck will also be hosting the events alongside DJ Freddy Hydro

The state’s hip-hop community will be able to visit the website and vote on various categories like “TN Artist of the Year,” “Best New Artist,” “Mixtape DJ,” and “Indy Music/Clothing Store of the Year.” Fans can vote on the tmchiphopawards.com. Voting officially concludes on Thursday (July 31).

Both events are scheduled for September 6-7.
