After spending an exciting 24 hours in the capital city of Nigeria, Abuja, it was time to hop back on the plane and head to Lagos for the remainder of the ThisDay Music and Fashion Festival.
Hopefully you've already read my blog about the first day of my trip to Nigeria. If not, you can catch up here.
Around 6PM on day two, we checked out of the lovely Transcorp Hilton Abuja Hotel and caught a charter flight along with all of the models, make-up artists and publicists to the capital city of Lagos. Of course we were hit with a ton of delays a long the way. We waited for the bus to take us to the airport. We waited to board the plane. We waited on the runway... etc.

By they time we checked into the hotel in Lagos it was after 4am but we still had to get up early for a full day of press activities. The next day brought a round table interview with Chris Brown and a meet and greet with Sudanese super model Alek Wek. Then it was time for the concert.

Mary J definitely did her thing! It was extremely hot in the venue but she still gave it 100%, despite the fact that she was sweating up a storm.

Mary took the time to thank media mogul, Nduka for inviting her to take part in this year's festivities.
When Chris Brown took the stage, the girls went crazy. Watch this video of Chris performing, "With You." He really took the time to connect with his Nigerian fans.

And finally here's a pic of some of the models before the fashion show. They're modeling jewelry designed by Nigerian born jeweler to the stars, Chris Aire. For the finale Fat Joe took the stage and killed it perfoming songs like, "Lean Back" and "New York" while models from all over the world strutted down the runway. Unfortunately, I didn't get to capture footage of the fashion show because I was backstage waiting to interview Aire.
All in all, attending the ThisDay Music and Fashion Festival was an incredible experience. I would like to thank everyone at the Outside Organisation and ThisDay for coordinating the trip.
