Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson is being
accused of contributing $50,000 for a murder contract against top members of
Brooklyn drug gang Cash Money Brothers whom allegedly murdered the man
suspected for shooting rapper 50 Cent nine times in 2000.
According to The New York Daily News, witness Dwayne
Meyers testified yesterday against Iron Mike claiming he and another man, Muhammad
Nuir, placed a $100,000 bounty on both Damion Hardy and Edward
Cooke for killing his bodyguard in 2000.
When asked why Mike Tyson would go to such drastic measures
against the two men, Meyers contested the former boxer had a special
relationship with the victim.
"He was close friends with 'Homicide," Meyers said
referring to Darryl Baum by his other alias.
As a showing of his closeness with the victim, Tyson paid
homage to Baum back in 2000 after a 38-second TKO.
A month prior to his death, Baum was accused of infamously
shooting 50 Cent, an incident that proved to become most valuable for the
rapper as he has gained fame since then. The slain bodyguard is also
anonymously referenced in 50's "Many Men" song from his debut album Get Rich
Or Die Tryin'.
"Cause he got hit like I got hit, but he ain't f*cking
breathing."
Using the same drug gang name as Wesley Snipes' from New
Jack City, Hardy and Cooke are known for controlling the drug trafficking
throughout Brooklyn and murder.
In related news, WBLS New York radio personality Wendy Williams'
husband Kevin Hunter is currently being accused
of trying to place a hit on rival station Hot 97's Miss Jones. As of now,
Williams has publicly refuted the claims against Hunter.
