All the youngins are turning 21. First Bow Wow and now Sammie (You remember he had that joint "I Like It" back in 1999). This past weekend that R&B singer celebrated his big 2-1 in Miami and randomly, a few of the stars from the Wire were on hand to help him blow out his candles.

Shoot! I may your CD. I'll tell you one thing though. These upstarts sure know how to get big features. The artists had guest appearances from Too $hort, Mannie Fresh, Young Berg and Pretty Ricky just to name a few.

Hopefully we're getting closer to Haiti becoming a vacation destination. I remember being surprised when I bumped into Pras at the Ozone Awards in Miami.

During our interview, the former Fugee mentioned that he shot a video for his next single in seven countries, including Haiti. That piqued my curiosity. Since I hadn't been to Haiti in nearly three years, I decided to ask him how my motherland was doing. Shouts to all my haitians.

Well, not mine, but someone at SOHH got him heated. This is becoming common practice. I walk into the room and the rapper asks me, "are you so and so" or "who got so and so mad?"

It's been pretty busy the last couple of weeks. First Ozone (where I caught up with Murphy Lee) then the Loots photoshoot, Kicksclusive event and Swizz Beatz's Album Release Party.

Cassidy is apparently pretty battle happy these days. He recently launched a rap battle contest for aspiring artists and said he'd be willing to battle someone of Jay-Z's stature if it was beneficial.

But that's hypothetical. Rumors have been spreading that Cass is actually slated to spar with Joe Budden at an upcoming edition of the Fight Klub. International P would know.

With anticipation building for the Kanye West Vs. 50 Cent face off, I decided to ask people who they were favoring to take it come September 11th.

While in Miami for the Ozone Awards, I asked Twista, Fat Joe, Lloyd, Slim Thug, Yung Joc, Rick Ross, Pitbull, DJ Khaled as well as every day folks to weigh in on the heavyweight record sales bout.

I can't front, it caught me off guard the first time I heard DJ Khaled use the n-word. It must have been during that Ralphige prank call.

Then, after hearing We The Best, I noticed that he used it on a regular basis. I couldn't understand why it took me so long to notice it.

One of the best things about going out of town for work is the women. I must admit, the TJ's DJ's Music Conference/Ozone Awards weekend was quite sword fight-ish, but you could still bump into a dime or two at any given moment.

If you're looking to hand out CDs to established rappers, producers or DJs, then the TJ's DJ's Music Conference/Ozone Awards was definitely your scene. I bumped into all kinds of people just walking down the street, in the Hyatt Hotel lobby or at the Airport (Lil Jon on the way in and Jeezy on the way out).

I finally got to interview DJ Khaled while in Miami for the Second Annual Ozone Awards this weekend.

We linked up at Udonis Haslem's Charity Basketball Game at Northwestern High School. In light of Dick Johnson's recent Pulse Report, I had to ask him who he's referring to when he says, 'we the best."

You just can't make up stories like these. "All passengers for Miami, I'm sorry,but the flight is closed," a lady shouted near the baggage checking stand. "There isn't anything I can do." Are you kidding me? It's 1:35 p.m. The flight doesn't leave for another 50 minutes.

After a stressful ass wait, I'm told that "I'm all set" for the 6:55 p.m.
flight to Miami. "All set" uh? It turns out that I was on stand by. No guaranteed seat. We're talking well over 20 people on the list and I had 12 in front of me. And since this chick checked my bag in before telling me about my "seat," I didn't have the option to catch
the 4 p.m. flight at Laguardia like Toshi and Jayson did. I ended up getting the last bleeping seat and didn't reach Miami until 10:45 p.m. I forgot all about my nightmare the second I got to my room, a nice chambre overlooking the beach at the Marriot, courtesy of Stack$.
