SOHH ON THE SCENE

Yesterday I braved the New York City heat wave to hit up the ByrdGang listening session at Chung King studios. Jim Jones and the rest of the MOB (Members of ByrdGang) were in attendance to play their new album for members of the media. The studio was stacked with coolers of Heineken, Corona and water, bottles of Grey Goose and Hennessey and trays of fried fish, veggies and dip.

For over an hour Jones and his crew hammed it up for the many cameras in attendance as an engineer spun tracks from M.O.B (Members of ByrdGang) - The Album. It was a little too hot and smoky for me to make an accurate assessment of the record but from what I heard it sounded pretty good.

Off the top I liked, “She So Gangsta / Freakin” You by Chink Santana feat. Jim Jones, NOE, Oshy, “ByrdGang Money” by Jim Jones feat. NOE, Mel Matrix and “We Flying” by Jim Jones feat. NOE, Mel Matrix.
