Dallas Austins Third Annual "Dont Stop The Music" Gala. Check Out Who George Clinton's Favorite Rapper Is!

Posted on March 4, 2008 10:00 AM

Hit making producer Dallas Austin had held his 3rd “Don’t Stop The Music” gala in Cobb county over the weekend. Young Jeezy, Fantasia, Glady’s Knight, Jermaine Dupri, although they tried to sneak him through a side door where nobody could see but you know I [Gyant] did, George Clinton, as well as a host of Atlanta officials all came out to show their support. I scored some incredible video of George Clinton confessing who his most favorite M.C. is, and his admission might shock some of you. Check it out.

Unfortunately I couldn’t tell you much else about the event because I cut out mad early. Call me crazy, but there’s something about sitting in a corner of an event watching the elite dine on upscale cuisines, and downing alcohol while I’m left with nothing to chew on but some bread sticks that doesn’t sit right with my spirit. To the powers that be who ran this event; you know better to treat your media people like red headed step children.

Special shout out to Isodora Belle for the access, and for keeping some of us overzealous media people in check.

Oh, and for those of you who may have possibly been looking for Austin to talk about those cocaine allegations over in Dubai. Yea, OK! Let’s just hope he addresses it in his tell all book.

  • Gyant is so wack, calls his own website "SO.com" and then stutters like a retard when he talks to Jeezy. Also I was so shocked that Eminem is George Clinton's favorite rapper, that's the news item of the century right there.

  • George Clinton worked a lot with Eminem producers Mark and Jeff Bass in the early 1990s. Some of those sessions ended up on the Dope Dogs album. Also there's the Detroit connection.
