SOHH ON THE SCENE -

Five Things I Learned at Rip The Runway

Posted on March 5, 2008 12:04 PM

Last night BET debuted their annual fashion and music special, Rip The Runway. You already know SOHH was on the scene for the taping on February 21st. Now that everyone has seen the show, I thought I’d fill you guys in on a few behind the scenes details in a little post that I’ll call, “Five Things I Learned at Rip The Runway.”

1. Charli Baltimore still exists.

She told me she and Irv Gotti have ironed out their differences. She’s back on Murder Inc. and she's getting ready to drop a new Scott Storch produced single.

2. Rita G looks different in person.

Just in case you haven't seen the video here's my interview with the "Flashing Lights" video vixen.

3. Lil Mama has gone Hollywood.

First, let me just say that I like Lil Mama. I’ve even defended her and her “Lipgloss” in many debates. That said, this is the second time that Mama has denied me a red carpet interview because she, “had to go.” The first time was at Clive Davis’ Pre-Grammy party in Beverly Hills so I let that one slide. But twice? I think being a judge on Randy Jackson Presents: America's Best Dance Crew has gone to her head.

4. Pharrell is a good boss.

I happened to be talking to his little protégé, Teyana Taylor, when Skateboard P came down the red carpet. Though he didn’t grant interviews himself he wanted to make sure everything was going well with Teyana. He leaned in and asked, “How is your press going? Did you talk to everybody?” It was cute.

5. Juelz Santana does not wear the same scarf twice.

He made SURE to let me know that this was not the same scarf that he had been photographed in before.

So those are my lessons from behind the scenes. What did you guys learn from watching the show?
