Saturday night I [Gyant] attended a Grammy nominee soiree honoring Atlanta’s biggest, and most successful entertainers, and producers. The event, sponsored by SunTrust’s Sports & Entertainment Specialty Group honored great talent like Ne-Yo, Bryan Michael Cox, T.I., DJ Toomp, and Christopher “Tricky†Stewart [the man behind Rihanna’s hit, “Umbrellaâ€]. The event, which was held at an exclusive mansion in Buckhead had a pretty good turnout. Anyone who reads the SOHH blogs understands how I cover a situation. I just get my drink on and bust out the camera. Here’s what I got for y’all.
The Dream Team! WyldCard, B. Cox, Adonis
V103’s Top Radio Personality, Frank Ski & His Lovely Wife Tanya.
Kevin Michael’s was up in that piece. I heard he was acting mad Hollywood. And I guess he didn’t get the memo that we don’t take to kindly to that kind of attitude in the “Aâ€.
Grammy Award winner DJ Toomp graced the place with his presence. On the real though, Aldrin is a really cool dude. He always shows SOHH love when he sees us.
Tayrock was doing his thing on the ones and twos. Sigh, I miss the 90’s when music was good. Thanks for the nostalgia T. You most definitely did your thing.
Here are tons more pictures you all can check out. I ended up leaving once it became clear that Ne-Yo was going to be a no-show. I know it was a shot in the dark, but I was hoping that he’d muster up the fortitude to make an appearance despite his current high publicized arrest. Though T.I. was obviously a no-show as well his Operations Manager of Grand Hustle, Hannah King, gave me an update on the “Kingâ€. She told me that he’s doing as good as expected giving his current situation, but she assured me that he was working hard on the music, and extremely restless being under house arrest.
We here at SOHH.com wish him the best, and hope that all this can be put behind him in the near future.
Special shoutout to Jenika Thomas for the personal invite. You always look me out, and I appreciate you.
Also to the sponsors Mercedes Benz of South Atlanta, One Stop Productions, The View At King Plow Arts Center, AG Entertainment, and MLF.
