I've been to a whole lot of dope parties this summer, but it's been a minute since I've stopped by a classic party. The last [classic] one was the Sugar & Spice event back in June. It's no coincidence that S&S was handled by 5wpr, the same firm that handled last night's Playboy Magazine Release Party at the Prince George Ballroom in Manhattan, NY. Another classic!

I knew the event would be some chi-chi fu-fu function when I found out the dress code was "glamour chic." In addition to celebrating Playboy's latest issue, the event featured an auction of sports memorabilia among other things. Vinnie Pastore aka Big P%@#y of The Sopranos hosted the auction. All proceeds will be donated to Best Buddies New York, a non-profit organization focused on helping people with intellectual disabilities. One lady bid $1000 to eat dinner with Pastore and his friends, including Crazy Mario from A Bronx Tale.

Several celebrities, including 106 & Park's Rosci, Grammy Award Winning producers Play-N-Skillz, Chris Paul of the New Orleans Hornets and the New York Jets' Kerry Rhodes and Jonathan Vilma, stopped by to support the cause. Ladies, you were asking for eye candy, so I hope you like these dudes.

I must stress that this wasn't an industry party. Tickets were $150 a pop. Thank God for press credentials. DJ Cassidy did a great job on the 1s and 2s, spinning a mix of hip-hop, R&B, 80s music and some techno-ish dance stuff. No two stepping here. Even Pastore was getting down.

As Pharrell Williams would say...classic! Shouts to Reggie for hooking the kids up. Also shouts to Bryan and Jenn, who worked the event. Can't forget my dude Hanif.
Before closing, I'd like to send a big shout to Will. Upon meeting him last night, he told us that he was a frequent SOHH On The Scene visitor. Instead of being negative in the comments, why don't ya'll just come and party with us. DEAD ASS! BK Exclusive dude, I know you're in the city. And if some of you aren't in New York, I'm sure we'll visit your city soon. Hit me up at jackpot@sohh.com. We'll document your SOHH On The Scene Experience.
