Yung Joc may have nominated himself for the "Down To Earth Rapper" Award, but Bun B and Chamillionaire are more likely to take that one home.

Danica (SOHH) and Chamillionaire
At this point I've lost count on my Chamillionaire interviews. BET Black Carpet Dinner, BET Hip-Hop Awards, 5W Pr office, 2007 MTV Awards...I'm sure I forgot a few. He's one of the few rappers that made me feel like I was speaking with a regular dude. Most of them even when cool usually have this air of arrogance to them. Not him.
Here's another thing I appreciate about Chamillionaire. These rappers never pay attention to anything. You can catch some of them on the carpet a million times and they still don't know what outlet they're speaking to. Pretty ridiculous if you ask me.
Cham on the other hand pays attention. I was surprised when he referenced the first time I interviewed him at last year's VMA forums in NY. By the way, I got to hear Ultimate Victory last night and off the first listen I'm digging it. If anybody else has heard it, let me know your thoughts. In the meantime, here's our SOHH Focused interview with Chamillionaire.
SOHH Focused Chamillionaire
I know you hate when we say something positive about rappers. So go ahead and do what you do. Speak on it.

Cham is a cool dude, he always seems cool, calm and collective, and he is very talented. I heard a couple of track off of Ultimate Victory and it sounds like it is going to be a hot album. Big Ups to HIP-HOP!

Big Ups to Cham. The color changin lizard doing it big nowadays. I heard the Ultimate Victory the other day and honestly it is one of the best of 2007. I'm also glad he isn't going in the same route as many other rappers out there today. Talking about grillz, guns, drugs, being in the v.i.p, fucking hoes, and the list goes on and on w/ the recycled bubble gum shit. He's different, he brings a new side to the scene that Hip Hop definately needs. I know people will hate and some will not like his next project but I'll continue to support Cham for his visions of changing the game.

That new Cham album is tight. No doubt about that. Personally, it's got a different feel and vibe than Sound of Revenge but it's played well. Some tracks are better than others because honestly a couple tracks that are back to back sound exactly like the previous ones (I won't mention track names though, you'll know when you hear them). Weird. I know Cham was never one for using curse words, but this albums seems a little bit like he's trying too hard to prove that with some of his punchlines and words, some lines leave you saying "Wow, i can't believe he actually said that" (like the track where he references that "Umbrella chick" haha, cuz I know Cham's got skills, I've been listening to him since the beginning when it was just his mixtapes that were available. The long skit is hilarious, I'm not sure who's speaking, it sounds like Mike Epps though. This album is way better than Curtis, not quite on par with Graduation but it's too different types of albums. Definitely cop this album, you won't be disappointed.

I like dude, his concepts and the like. His album sounds the same from track to track and you will notice towards the end two songs have basically the beat. Same hat rolls in every track.
He will suffer musically. Get some better production. Hes an OK rapper, hes not an MC.
2 stars out of 5. Lackluster and uncreative.
