I've been to a few amateur video shoots before, but Saigon's "Come On' Baby" video shoot was my first time witnessing the production of a budgeted clip.
By the time I got to the set around 6 P.M., Sai, his friends, models, extras and the production had already been on location for 8 hours (10 A.M.).

Apparently there's a lot of down time on these shoots. Sai, Maino, Tru Life and some of their homies were hangin outside the Yard Father's trailer when I got there. Swizz Beatz, Just Blaze and the Retro Kids (I'm not sure why) later popped up as well.

Meanwhile, extras and models were eating pizza while the production crew was setting up the next shots. In a successful attempt to entertain the crowd, the director had models jump onstage to rap and sing during dead periods.

Down time on the set
Sai wouldn't spoil the video's concept, so you'll have to be patient. These flicks should give you a little hint though.

Stay tuned for clips of my Saigon interview. And stayed tubed for the premiere of Sai's "Come On Baby" video.
