Forget about him falling at some recent concert, Lupe's stage show has evolved a great deal since the last time I saw him perform last summer.

I witnessed his growth when the Chicago emcee took the stage at the Staple Design 10th Anniversary at The Xchange in New York last night (August 2). The event was sponsored by Mountain Dew and Green Label.

Lupe Touche never stood still during his performances, but he used to seem a litte stiff on stage. Not the case last night, the man has obviously been touring extensively in the last calendar. He is now extremely comfortable on stage. See for yourself.

Lupe also performed "The Cool," "American Terrorists, "Sunshine" and "He Say She Say" in addition to several freestyles ("Diamonds") and guest verses ("Touch The Sky").

Bobito Garcia spun for part of the evening while Bun B, Posdunous of De La Soul, Hot 97's Miss Info and of course loads of industry people made pit stops.

Yep! Yet another successful event for the books. Shouts to Youseline and Hyun at Seeds Gives Life for putting together the dope event. Shouts to Cash for producing the photos and shouts to Bun B. We had a brief convo about my "Bun B Is The Nicest Rapper Ever" blog. It turns out that he read it. Funny stuff. Support the man's album next Tuesday. And by the way, has anybody seen Sam Ed?

But back to Staple, the reason the event took place. Mountain Dew Green Label Art collaborated with Staple Design on the Staple aluminum bottle design. The design, which celebrates Staple Design 10th Anniversary, brings the musical and artistic inspiration of Jeff Staple and his company together.
