Chris Brown's Staple Jacket, Kanye's House and Limited Edition Akai MPC 4000s

If you've seen the new video for the Chris Brown/T-Pain joint "Kiss, Kiss" you probably saw Chris Brown wearing this new Staple Varsity Pigeon Jacket. It's from their Fall/Winter 2007 collection titled “Only the Educated are Free.”

What's funny about this is that Jeff Staple spotted the Jacket in CB's video before he even had one for himself.

Kia Shine: "I have this pet peeve on not having the dirty dread syndrome."

Alright folks, it's time for the next installments of Gettin' Krispy with Kia Shine. In the first webisode Kia (would you call him Kia or Shine?) shows us how he avoids dirty dread syndrome and gets his locs styled into the... "preppy look" (not to be confused with the "rockstar look"). Then he heads over to the barbershop to where he gets his "hairline krispy" and a "facial, face wash." Even if you don't care about Kia Shine you might find these webisodes mildly entertaining.

Midway 2007 Holiday Preview: Stranglehold, Game Party and Aqua Teen Hunger Force

Last week the folks from Midway came out from Cali to give the press a look at their Holiday 2007 releases. With plenty of food and drinks on hand, I got to sit down, grab the controllers and talk to the developers of each game.

The first game I checked out was Stranglehold which continues the story of John Woo's influential action film, Hard Boiled. Playing as Chow Yun-Fat you're on a mission to take down the organized crime bosses who took your family.

One of the best features of Stranglehold is its destructible environments. Instead of bumping into chairs and tables you just bust right through them. If a bad guy is hiding behind a pillar or a car, just shoot it up and expose him. You also have the ability to swing from chandeliers, slide on railings and jump and ride on serving carts (just like in the John Woo movies). And your enemies have incredibly realistic reaction sequences depending on where you shoot them (eye, nose, mouth, throat, knees, elbows and the most popular... groin).

Check out the throat shot below:

T-Shirt Tuesday: Britney Spears and Michael Vick

I decided to start up a new weekly feature here on the SOHH Official blog. From now on, Tuesdays are going to be T-Shirt Tuesdays where I feature the hottest or most ridiculous tees that I've come across in the past week. If you have any suggestions hit me with an e-mail at official@sohh.com.

Ok, let's get into it for this week. First off, after Britney's horrendous performance at the VMA's on Sunday I thought it was only right to include this equally horrendous shirt from Sneak Peak that they just got in at World NYC. I actually think the shirt is clever but, umm, who wants to wear that?

10Deep is Targeting You for Fall

The homie Meka from 10Deep kindly took a few seconds out of his tradeshow tour of North America (United, Magic, Agenda) to hit me up and break down the concept behind their new fall line.

Here's what he said:

The Sun is setting on another Summer and that signals the maelstrom of fall lines hitting the streetwear market. Next week 10Deep's fall line, dubbed the "Hearts & Minds/ Targeted group" begins hitting stores. This new Collection shows a large progression for the company with the addition of Flannels, Varied Denim cuts and colors, and technical outerwear.

The Sept.11th FACE/OFF

I know you're probably wondering what the f this old ass movie has to do with 50 and Kanye but bare with me, I'll explain.

Not only does the DVD cover art bare a small resemblance to Kanye and 50's highly anticipated Rolling Stone cover but it just so happens that Paramount has decided to drop the special collector's edition DVD of FACE/OFF on... September 11th.

It's been 10 years since the John Woo/John Travolta/Nicolas Cage blockbuster hit theatres so naturally a 10th anniversary release was in order. But FACE/OFF on same day as (arguably) the biggest face off in hip-hop history? That's just too easy.

If you need a refresher FACE/OFF is the action flick where John Travolta plays as an FBI agent who takes the face and identity of an elusive terrorist played by Nicolas Cage in an attempt to stop him. This two-disc Special Collector's Edition DVD features all-new special features such as commentary by director John Woo, seven deleted scenes including an alternate ending and a five-part featurette entitled "The Light and the Dark: Making FACE/OFF."

So, if you decide to cop it on Tuesday you won't have to travel very far. Most of you will already be exactly where Paramount wants you... at the store. So what do you think is this a coincidence or a conspiracy?

Rumor has it that Apple is going to be annoucing the next generation of iPods this week. The new iPods will feature the same touch screen capabilites that can be found on the iPhone. They also might have a new digital radio component, Flash-based storage, and wireless connectivity that would allow users to buy music directly on their iPods... from iTunes of course.

Check out a video of the new iPod below:

Tuesday night at the listening and visual experience for his upcoming album, Graduation, Kanye West was kind enough to field some questions from the crowd. But while he was willing to go into great detail about the tracks on the album there were some questions that he politely declined to answer. His upcoming HBO show? Nope, he'd rather just talk about the music. His sneakers? Hell no, he's not letting that cat out of the bag!

Too bad some crafty little sneakerhead has revealed Ye's big secret.

The shoes that were rumored to be the Nike Marty McFly's from Back to the Future II are not Nikes at all. They are Ato Matsumotos and they come in three colorways - red, black and white. For now, they're only available in Japan.

Pras from The Fugees Hits "Skid Row"

Friday after work, I headed over to City Cinemas Village East to catch Skid Row, a documentary in which Pras Michel of the Fugees spends 9 days living among the 11,000 homeless people who call LA's Skid Row home. Pras and his hidden cameras give us an inside look into overcrowded shelters, capture personal stories of those battling substance abuse and follow a distraught mother who is searching for her drug addicted son. Pras battles discrimination, hunger, rain and rats to bring this informative and enlightening film to the screen.

Here's what Pras told LAVoice.org about his experience:

You have to hustle, steal, shoplift or prostitute yourself. I chose panhandling. People gave me the worst looks. Like I was invisible and at the same time the worst person on Earth...

50 Cent Talks Fashion from Kanye to Southern Acts, "They still didn't grasp the concept that throwbacks are done."

50 Cent recently caught up with Connected, a New York City lifestyle magazine that covers everything from sneakers to street meat. In addition to talking about the mixtape market and Eminem, he let if fly (in true 50 fashion) about current hip-hop trends and why he had to take it back to the Champion hoodie. Check out an excerpt:

I've noticed in your recent videos that you have been wearing Champion hoodies.

That is classic cool. You know, the super deep hood. I just had to get back to that design because I was having issues with my clothing company. I wasn't even wearing G-Unit clothing for a while but we straightened it out. It's not just a business idea, but when I can actually pick and approve it, I want to wear it because it already has my influence on style. It's almost like having your closet on sale to the public. If you look at artists from down South, you might see some of them still wearing jerseys. They still didn't grasp the concept that throwbacks are done. I will tell you this though, "really fly" to Southern artists means really expensive.

Which is different for you because you got jewels, but as far as your clothes, even trend wise everyone wants to be bright-clothes, stand out, rock star.

There's a lot of it out there. You know what it is, they are trying to find something new and the hip hop guys will see it and say I like that. You'll see them start to get influenced by it and rock skulls in their clothing, belt buckles and chains. That is rock and roll style right there. For me, I never go too far from my house; I always keep a sense of direction of how I can get home with what I am actually wearing. Kanye was corageous, but it actually matched what he was doing. He was wearing sweaters over button ups and stuff like that; it was crazy. If you saw me wearing that, you would be like "wait a minute, what's going on here..."

50 also said he just hired a new designer so you can look forward to G-Unit clothing having a whole new vibe to it. If you're in the NYC area, you can pick up a free copy of Connected mag on the skreets and in select streetwear shops.

Add Houston rapper Lil Flip to the long list of rappers who own or endorse an alcoholic beverage. His Lucky Nites Golden Liqueur is "a perfect blend of pineapple juice, amaretto and premium vodka with just a hint of sour."

Its imported from France and is the second product to roll out from Straight Up Brands following their acquisition of Rappin Brands (the first was Jim Jones' Sizzurp in case you were wondering). It is now officially in distribution across ten states in the United States in addition to distribution in Canada, and Great Britain. Anyway, look for Flip to be droppin' the product name in his music and live radio interviews and holding up bottles in his upcoming music videos.

Apparently, Lucky Nites was made to be consumed straight up or with your favorite whiskey, vodka, rum or cognac so if you grab a bottle you have plenty of options.

Ok, this one's for the ladies:

Earlier this year, Angela and Vanessa Simmons of Run's House fame made their foray into the sneaker game with the release of the Pastry Footwear Cake Collection.

Their stylish lowtops came in a variety of flavors like Chocolate Mousse, Strawberry Shortcake, Red Velvet and Sprinkles (my personal favorite). Now it looks like they're going to step things up a notch with the release of a these high tops that I spotted over at Chic and Untroubled.

In my opinion, these are better than the lows. I might actually buy them... maybe. What do you think?
