Exclusive Look at Timberland's Holiday 2007 Collection

Last night Timberland held the East Coast Industry Preview of their Holiday 2007 Line. The open bar was flowing, lamb chops and crab cakes were circulating, Rich Medina was on the 1s and 2s and a variety of Timberland boots, sneakers and sandals were on display.

The whole concept of the new campaign is "ReImagine" and that pretty much says it all. I didn't see a regular Chukka or 6 inch the whole night... except for this:

I believe this was part of the "Jardin" Brazilian-inspired collection.

The Timberland marketing execs explained to me that since men are dressing up more these days, they decided to fill the void in the marketplace by dropping this luxury collection. The quality on these was incredible (as can be expected from Timberland). The leather was right and the soles were actually made of wood.

They also, had some kicks on display for the ladies. This one looks like a cross between those sneakers Jay-Z was wearing in the "Umbrella" video and as a fellow journalist said, "something Ciara would wear onstage."

And this one was obviously inspired by somebody's cable-knit sweater.

Over all I applaud Timberland for stepping outside of the box. I wonder if it's going to pay off.

Construction timbz are str8 CLASSIKS that will NEVER EVER be played however the days of rocking timbs everyday of the week is over! But all of that extra shhh going on in those pics is jus wack. Females might be able to get away with some of that but dudes should jus stick to the construction jump offs and only rock em in snow in rain. Ya heard.
