Finally, a First Look at Kanye's Pastelle Line

kanye-pastelle.jpg

Kanye West has been talking about his upcoming clothing line Pastelle for years but until now, no solid info or pics have hit the net. Apparently, the first Pastelle release will be sunglasses, not clothing.

In the photo above, Mr. Fresh is wearing a pair from the line that he is designing with George Gorrow of Ksubi from Australia.

"I love the sunnies Ksubi has produced over the years, and it's an honour to collaborate with them on this first installment of Pastelle frames," West told STUFF.CO.NZ. "George is an incredibly talented designer, and I've never met anyone who knew more about sunglasses and other cool stuff."

Sidebar: Did Kanye really refer to sunglasses as sunnies?

Anyway, the line is set to launch globally in October of 2008 and will feature limited edition gold frames which will set you back about 2gs.

Would you wear Jay-Z's Nike Blazers?

dqm-blazer-black.jpg

Newlywed rapper Jay-Z was recently spotted rocking these Nike Blazer Highs. Turns out they are a part of Nike’s collabo with New York kick supplier, Dave’s Quality Meat. In case you don’t know, the Blazer Hi was originally released in 1973 and was Nike’s first Hoops shoe.

Win A Limited Edition Gnarls Barkley Poster

GnarlsPOSTER.jpg

Tonight, Santogold and Gnarls Barkley are hitting the stage at Highline Ballroom in New York City for what promises to be a legendary performance. I’d love to give everyone golden tickets to the show but umm… I can’t. Instead, I can hook up two lucky readers with this exclusive poster. The poster is 11x16. It features an abstract representation of The Odd Oouple and details of the show. They only printed 100 copies and I’m giving away two. The first people to e-mail me at official@sohh.com will win.

Diddy & MTV Celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Sean John

Over the weekend I got word that MTV is going to be celebrating the 10th anniversary of Diddy’s Sean John label by showing a documentary called, “If I Were King.” My initial reaction was, “Sean John has been around for 10 years!?” Apparently it has.

According to the press release, “If I Were King” gives viewers a private look into Diddy’s preparations for his label’s first runway show in five years. In the trailer below we see the mogul meet with his team of designers about leather quality (“We’re buggin’ right now”) and give his models a big pep talk before they rip the runway. It looks pretty good to me. You know Diddy always makes good TV.

“If I Were King” debuts Wednesday, April 9th at 10p.m. ET. Who’s tuning in?

Lemar & Dauley "Spread Luv" with This Murakami Edition Tee

murakami-lemardauley.jpg

Hello Brooklyn! I don’t rep Brooklyn but I do have to admit they have some dope stuff going on in the borough right now. Last night, Kanye West ripped it down at the Brooklyn Museum for the “Brooklyn Ball,” a gala celebrating the opening of Takashi Murakami’s exhibition. In addition to being Kanye’s homie, Murakami is a famous Japanese pop artist. He created the artwork for Ye’s last album, Graduation, and he’s also put in work for a little brand named Louis Vuitton.

Anyway, I just got word that Lemar and Dudley is releasing a limited edition of their “Spread Luv” shirt to celebrate the love that Murakami is showing their borough. The limited edition tees feature a Murakami star on the right hand shoulder. They hit select retailers on April 12th.

In the meantime you can peep the footage Miss Info captured at the Gala below:

Pharrell, Lupe and Kanye Tote Their Guns on This Tee

crs-close-up.jpg

The folks over at the Complex blog found this Child Rebel Soldier inspired t-shirt on eBay. For those of you who have been living under a rock CRS is a supergroup comprised of Lupe Fiasco, Pharrell Williams and Kanye West. So far the crew only has one song under their belt (“US Placers”) but that hasn’t slowed down the t-shirt creating fans apparently.

When I caught up with Lupe back in December this is what he had to say about CRS:

[We’re] one song deep, a lot of ideas, a lot of conversations about how we want to roll out and what we want it to look like, what we want it to feel like. So we're in discussion right now but hopefully end of 08, we'll have something proper.

Hmm, doesn't sound to promising. While you're waiting for the album to drop you can cop his shirt for $77.99 on eBay .

Three 6 Mafia Gets Into the Clothing Biz

36songs.jpg

This raunchy little shirt is a reference to Three 6 Mafia’s new single, “I’d Rather.” You know how it goes, "I love having sex but I'd rather get some head." It’s a collabo between the rap duo and Fat Cop XXL and it’s available at http://www.triplesix.com/ and http://www.fatcopxxl.com/.

By the way, did you guys know that Three 6 has a new clothing line? It’s called Dangerus Skandulus and it’s primarily comprised of rockstar inspired t-shirts for men and women. They retail for 25 bucks each and are available here.

Kidz in The Hall Stunt in 10.Deep's Spring Lookbook

10Deep-Kidz.jpg

Naledge and Double O of Kidz in The Hall got their pose on for 10.Deep’s Spring 2008 Lookbook. The collection, “Blue Collar Blue Bloods,” features two deliveries the first of which hits stores tomorrow (March 19th). "Champion Life” references vintage Polo, collegiate culture and the secret cliques of High Society (hence the skull in Double O's hand).

For some reason, I'm really diggin' the photos for this one. You can check out the rest of the lookbook here.

RBK_F-S_HiReign-BowIntlNeo.jpg

When I first saw these Freestyles (formerlly known as 5411s) all I could think of is the DMX song “How’s It Goin Down.” You know, “5411 size 7 in girls/ baby face would look like she was eleven with curls.”

Anyway, Robert from Overkill just got these kicks in. They’re from the Freestyle Hi Reignbow Pack and they come in neon orange, neon purple and neon pink. They have a leather upper, patent leather Velcro straps and rainbow-colored laces, labels and insole.

Cop Lupe Fiasco's Tour Jacket For 450 Euros

A while back, I posted pictures of Lupe Fiasco modeling for Darren “Dr”. Romanelli. It turns out that Lupe hired the LA based designer to be his “brand ambassador” and to help him take his sophomore album, The Cool, to a new market.

Romanelli created the red and gold satin letterman’s jacket that Lu wore at his CD release show in NYC and he’s developing a line of collectible toys based on The Cool’s characters.

The good doctor also whipped up these tour jackets in collaboration with London-based Maharishi. There are two different reversible jackets. Each one is hand embroidered and made of Jar quilted silk. They feature imagery inspired by characters created by Lupe for, The Cool, and are available for at Solebox for 450 Euros which is a little less than $700.
