Thank you Hov! I wish that in this song, "Death of Auto Tune" aka "D.O.A," that Jay-Z would have called out Ron Browz on how HORRIBLE his production has become. Not to mention Browz's nightmare auto-tune hooks.
Harlem's DJ Webstar currently has a page full of Jay-Z conversations on his Twitter page-- all regarding Jay's "Death of the Auto Tune" song that came out last week.
As advised by his PR camps, Webstar took the publicity opportunity and took a shot at the old lad:
"who heard old ass Jay Z hating? ... bottom line is a 40 year old can't relate to a 17 or 22 year old so he could never end my career.."
Number one, Blueprint 3's very own producer Kanye West even publicly acknowledged that there were originally auto tune joints DONE by Hov. Although they were later done away with. So cut it out! You cornball n*ggas are just looking for attention.
A 40-year-old can't end your career-- but he can damn sure give you some shine in the buzz department, which is why you entertained this NON-DIRECT dis in the first place. Come on, duke. You have ONE SONG out (called "Dancing On Me" if anyone cares). If anyone should be taking offense to this, it's Ron Browz with his horrific musical efforts.
And Hov's took shots at Jaz-O. He took shots at the hipsters-- n*ggas wearing skinny jeans and young ass t-shirts. He took shots at the sing-a-long ringtone songs that these Southerners have been putting out. Did you even bother to listen to the rest of the song? There's no singling out going on here. Clearly someone is making a mountain out of a molehill-- and the Twitter page is there to prove it.
Wait. I get it. Jim Jones logged into Webstar's Twitter account. I forgot about how they're buddy-buddy now.
Thanks Hov. I'm not at all disappointed. So "Brooklyn Go Hard" is not a one-shot deal after all.

I'm starting to think Jim Jones has a secret man crush on Jay-z. I'm not a Jay-z fan but dang, everything Jay-z does or say Jim Jones always has something to say. Jim reminds me of Game and Jay-z is 50. Hop off his sack. My goodness.
NEW YORK WILL NEVER DO AWAY WITH JAY BECAUSE OF THE WORK HE PUT IN. AT THE END OF THE DAY, HOW MANY JOINTS YOU GOT? HE DEADED EVERYBODY (HIP HOP WISE) THAT TOUCHED THE STAGE AFTER JEEZY SET. JIM AND JUELZ SET WAS TRASH. THEY DIDNT HAVE A REUNION AND OF ALL PEOPLE THEY BRING OUT SOULJA BOY. PLEASE.
Is dj webstar the one who did chicken noodle soup?
Devastating the community of subpar lyrics and imaginative marketing ploys, designed to provide
the dick-riding, no-skill having, fake ass fronting, sideline homo's, skinny jean wearing, fake ice rocking, couldn?t out rap a 5th grader, commercialized Gangsterism, I'll do anything to have a record deal, rape me for money "artists" in the game today... O rise uneducated hip-hop youth! Find a refuge, an oasis in the desolate desert of today's music scene, that is a fa?ade of hip-hop culture...Jigga Jay-Z has once again started a revolutionary design that will be emulated throughout the world, Death Of Auto tune, Death to no-skill having homo-thugs, Death to the cornballs destroying rap music. I pray that the unenlightened youth that have put their blatant heresy, lyrical blasphemy and false faith in these unconscionably weak rappers, understand that at the altar of hip-hop and the pinnacle of lyrical worship rests the title of "the nicest MC". No gimmicks, no fronting, no record deal, no money, no lights, no groupies, no yes men entourage-- just thoughts into words and words into lyrics, lyrics into head bobbing, feet stomping, dap giving, smiles and cries?that is HIP-HOP!!!

Jon, add into tht 97-00 block. If u dont remember Def Jam dropped 3 major cds evry 4th quarter for those years...DMX, JaRule & JayZ. U must either really dislike JayZ or was under a rock for those years.
I was the first to say that all of that Reckless. You late...

point of my list was to show that Jay Z was never on top. If you believe that dropping a cd every year and it goes plat while somebody else is on top means you can be legend in the game then i guess lil wayne is a legend. What album he dropped that aint been gold or plat since tha block is hot? He's been in the background all this time dropping cd's that have sold so by your admission hes a legend right?
Also what other hiphop artist used others hot at that time producers artists to get to legend status apart from JayZ? DMX, Cash Money, No Limit, Death Row built themselves, they didn't build of others if it wasn't for features and beats noone would check for Jazy: check the singles record
City is mine ft Blackstreet (at their peak)
Aint No N ft Foxy (at Her Peak)
Lobster & Scrimp (When Timbaland at the top with missy, alliyah)
Money aint a thang (when JD at the top)
Can I get a ft Ja Rule (at his start to success with Holla Holla)
Vol 2 Album - Only one solo Joint (Hard Knock Life)
Big Pimpin - Timbaland at his peak (ft UGK)
Hey Papi - Timbaland at his peak
Is That Yo Chick - Timbaland at his peak
I Just wanna love you (Neptunes at their peak)
Girls Girls Girls, - Kanye West as soon as he hit his success (wan't using him when Beanie released the Truth was he? same with just blaze)
Bonnie & Clyde ft Beyonce (At her peak)
Black Album (Just Blaze & Kanye at their peak)
And for all you guys that are gonna say he was on top so he could afford to use the big names. He damn sure wasn't on top when lobster & Scrimp dropped so basically this guy owes Timbaland his career.
Lobster N Shrimp was a soundtrack song homie, in the past what 10 years the only rap artists that out sold Jay was Nelly and Em. Plus Jay starts movements, come on man the man mentions something that he's doing and people follow it, I'm born and raised in BK and I do think he should let the young guys have their time, but then at the same time you need somebody to come in and say yo that's not hip hop, I'm just glad he's man enough to stand up for hip hop.
um...i donty know where to start on this....i thought reasonable doubt was a good album but i didnt f**k wit hov during the s.carter albums....then the dynasty album came out.....thats when Jon....his music was just better than what was out. dmx and jay....that was def jam at the time. he doesnt write down music!!! what the F**K!! incredible....but in lite of all that it is time for new cats to get out there but r.kelly dont have to dis chris brown to put out a cd...it hard bcuz the radio industry forces this crap down to us like this is good music...if you garbage its a vets job to take you out.....pm dawn v krs-1, biggie v kwame thats what a vet does
you soooo dang ugly the only thang dat make u look good iz beyonce, and i dont even know why beyonce was dumb enough 2 marry u... but who am i to say its not my life!!!! hahahahahahahahaha..... The one and only Tay-Tay...
