This is the slowest news day ever. But it's all good. Cause today is Memorial Day. Time for outdoor festivities.
Meanwhile, check out some new tracks from some of New York's finest-- or not.
Can't front. The Wu-Tang duo have been getting it in with the new music. A lot of dudes appreciate that "AYO!" joint.
But what I-- and a lot of others-- don't appreciate, is yet ANOTHER 'New York is the BEST' anthem. I feel what these artists are saying, but after a while, the sh*t gets old. I'm just not convinced by a lot of these rappers' hustles. Like most rappers in all regions, they're here today and gone tomorrow. The way I see it, NYC is not wack compared to other regions. They've simply become like everyone else: transient. Even the South has the same old 3 recycled artists who actually get New York airplay. Yawn.
This track is called "New York is #1." By who? Eh, click the link. I forgot his name.
Shout out to my boy Young Kingz!
I posted the video for this Juelz Santana joint a couple of weeks ago, but had absolutely no info on it. This is from Juelz's upcoming album Born To Lose, Built To Win. In stores who knows when.
And on that note, I'll sign off with a joint from Will Smith. I hope this dude never pics up another mic ever again in his life. But this song is a summertime/barbecue classic.
It's good to hear real hip hop again. Now all we need is for Outkast to drop another one
hip hop news
What again is it about ny that you DO like?
Oh yeah, whatever mixtape has been that never was you're slobbing at the moment.
You are ass.
Wu-tang Duo? Redman part of the WU now? Wow... I'd expect the blogger to know what he's talking about. I'm sure I won't be the first to air you out
