Yezzzir.

Two of the things I feared most about Jay-Z's upcoming Blueprint 3 was a) a T-Pain collaboration (though highly unlikely), and b) auto tune/voicebox/vocoder/whatever you call it. With this interview Kanye West did with MTV, I can now breathe easy. Even though Kanye acknowledged that Hov did indeed have some songs with that horrific voicebox sh*t. SMH.

"Jay is in control of everything in his domain," said Kanye. "He's just been working on it, and it's gonna be amazing when he drops it. I think it's good he's taking his time to give people the best product possible and not being rushed by this fast-food, media-outlet, Internet, everything-is-getting-leaked, people-stealing your-songs-before-you-can-mix-them-and-put-them-online world we're living in right now."

"We actually removed all the songs with Auto-Tune off of his album to make the point that this is an anti-Auto-Tune album, even though I released an album that has all Auto-Tune!"

Thanks, Hov. Looks like you took some of Jadakiss's advice.

Hopefully this album will be better than Kingdom Done Come. Quite frankly I'm tired of these older rappers coming out with mediocre material -- even though their egoes are just as severely enlarged as their heyday egoes. For no reason at all. Jay can't seem to find a decent buzz and hold it long enough to drop the album. A clear sign that he should hang it up.

The Blueprint 3 in stores December 2012. Featuring zero use of auto tune.

That's good he is not gonna have none of that auto-tune bullshit on there!!! That's a good move right there!!! Big up to Jay-Z and the rest of the ROC-TEAM!!!!!

damn reck kingdom come wasnt his last album
so he's actually coming off a hot album being american gangsta

it's a big statement Jay is making. He's making a historical statement, about the contemporary music environment, and what it means to be trendy.

Em made his statement by putting one note of auto-tunes at the end of a verse on Relapse, kinda poking fun at it.

Hopefully the refusal of great iconic emcees to jump on the bandwagon will shift the music into a new and more interesting direction for 2010.

Jay-Z should hang it up, are you serious?! Yeah I'll admit he's not dropping constant bangers every time out the gate, but can you really say the game would be better off without him? You can't if you consider yourself an honest fan.
