Just a little something for the die-hard internet thugs who will take a bullet for a rapper who doesn't give a damn about them.

As the years have passed, I've seen a lot of heartfelt, emotional, and even psychologically damaged fans cry a river over their favorite rap star. Sometimes coming on the blog writing under several names-- despite the I.P address reflecting the same digits. And that, to me, is hilarious. But what gets me is all over the net, they relentlessly argue, bitch and moan about how "their" rapper is better than the next and that New York rappers are irrelevant, blah blah blah. But they don't seem to understand that all this sh*t is largely limited to ONLINE. In the real world, nobody cares. In fact, outside the net, real East Coast rappers get nothing but big-ups.

So for all those who fit this description, especially you pesky Soulja Boy loyalists (lmao... is that possible?), take a look at the difference between today's "artists" -- who come and go after 3 years (maximum)-- and the so-called "irrelevant" artists who have been in the game for years. And who get respect from artists in all regions:

"That was one of the things that made me nervous, because hip-hop fans change hourly," Jadakiss told iHiphop. "Over the years, hip-hop has changed, and the fans change instantly too. So within that five-year gap, a lot of young listeners came in, and I had to capture them.

"I?m not competing because I?m an OG. I?m still young, but I?m an OG. Whoever you think is the newest, hottest up-and-comer; whenever they see me, they tell me how they grew up off of me.

"Kid Cudi told me that he listens to 'All For The Love' over and over again? I forgot exactly what he said, but they show that kind of love. From the Kid Cudi?s, to the Asher Roth?s to the Red Caf??s, they all show love and it?s a beautiful thing? So I don?t feel like I?m competing at all.

"At first I was in the Kiss My Ass mind state, but then I had to get out of that, because I didn?t get it as first?when it came to the dramatic change in the game, and radio and all of that. Then I had to get into The Last Kiss mind state, and I?m glad I got into that because it paid off. I was just trying to stay into the realm of 90?s music, and put the young kids into our world."

There you have it.

RADIO: An artist who is supposedly "hot" can have a top 10 radio single... and sell no albums. We've seen this in today's Southern artists tooooo many times. Artists like Kiss can have no single on the radio, and sell more than Rick Ross the first week. Why? Because they have a following.

FOLLOWING: And there's a difference between today's corny Southern artists and the Southern pros: a true following. Yung Joc, Mike Jones, Chamillionaire, Paul Wall, etc... they all fell face first the second go-round, because they're simply wack. Outkast, Ludacris, and all those well-rounded artists will always push albums regardless. They've been doing it for years and have fans riding with them and standing behind them.

CLASSICS: NO ONE MAKES CLASSICS ANYMORE. Stop saying Lil Wayne made a classic. Lil Wayne selling 3 million copies of Tha Carter III doesn't make it a classic. It makes it an album that simply garnered more buzz and more anticipation due to the preceding two albums-- which were, in most peoples' opinion, BETTER than Carter III (but we can't tell that to 19-year-olds).

Stop listening to 50 Cent. Sales don't translate into quality of an artist. It's how long you can last. How can you evolve, reinvent, and reposition yourself to adapt to a changing climate and captivate a new audience. And that's what Jadakiss did.

Damn. Get your sh*t straight. And stop fighting for these dudes online. They don't give a f*ck about you.

Now you understand how "irrelevant" artists can still make it. And how your Soulja Boys, Plies, Hurricane Chrises, Flo-ridas, and so on, will ALWAYS come and go.

finally i can actually ride with you my equal on this,110% networth yell

Thank you Reckless. Just because a rapper sold more than a million sales wise that doesn't mean his album is a classic. Nas' Illmatic had terrible record sales yet it is generally viewed as a hip hop classic. 50 Cent's The Massacre sold over 6 million in the U.S. alone so that makes it a classic? We use the word classic too loosely nowadays.

Chamillionaire isn't wack. he's actually one of the few souther artists who has skill and is saying soemthing positive. liek jay said "do you listen to music, or skim thru it?"

Journalism is a profession as much as music is. People can do it for the love or they can do it for the check. If some of these artists who you label wack got themselves some paper making music, why hate? If they come and go in a flash, so be it, but why take shots because they earned themselves a living? Not every artist who drops is going to be a legend.

As a far as the fans, if people like the music or the artist enough to take time to post on the blog sites, that means they found a connection with the artist. Who are you to say they shouldn't? No disrespect, but you are not winning a Pulitzer anytime soon. But you are getting paid to write this column. Should people stop reading your column because your writing is pedestrian? If people like your blog, should we hate on them?

What you are doing here is like hating on a popular local food spot. Its not a 5-star restaurant, but if the owners are doing business, and feeding their families, let them live.

reckless is the perfect name for you...cause you talking real fuking reckless...all the names of the people you mention have way more $$$ then you...the game is different now...album sales don't matter when every single you drop doing over 1.5 million ringtones, ringbacks and digital downloads....Flo Rida, Plies, Hurricane Chris are killing that game...plus has two Gold albums and Da last one he put out on its way to being gold now....the reason record companies keep putting these people out cause they making alot of $$$$...understand the business 1st before you comment RECKLESSLY....BTY go lick gyant nutz!!

yeah i understand what u saying i really do agree with the record sales quote but why are the only rappers u saying fell of are the southern ones...new york rappers and other coasts are the same way..dont hate on the south..and chamillionaire is not wack and neither is plies...but of course u dont live in the south so u dont know the following that plies does have...ure just a biased east coast loving rapper so u don't need to write blogs...

Tomorrow/the day after/ next week you'll be calling a rapper wack because his/her album "flopped". Stop speaking out of both sides of your mouth

ERIC GOOD IS THE BEST UNSIGNED ARTIST. YEAH YOU'VE HEARD THAT BEFORE, BUT TRUST HE IS THE FUTURE. DONT BELIEVE , CHECK HIM OUT. myspace.Com/ericgood

Whoa whoa whoa whoa..please take Chamillionaire out of the same category you mentioned those other dudes with. Cham's lyrics are better, his flow his better, and his work ethic is better.

PLIES fucking sucks

APPLAUSE, BRAVO, WELL DONE...
finally, a glimmer of hope arising from the cesspool of internet blog buffonery...and for those dick-riding, small-minded peasants jocking the imbeciles that rap on a fourth grade level, listen to this lyrics...

AHH the days of my youth...when ya herbs would fold at the drop of a hat fronting like ya hardbody, until the niggas from BROOKLYN rolled through...but, alas those reckless days are just memories now
