If you think I hate Prodigy, raise your hand. Aight cool. But there was a time when Mobb Deep was coming with that real. Havoc was coming hard with the production, but Prodigy mostly had the superior verses. Before they got with that corny G-Unit sh*t, Hav and Prodigy were actually real representers of Queensbridge. Damn. How times have changed.

"Quiet Storm"

"Shook Ones Part 2"

"Survival of the Fittest"

"G.O.D Part 3"

"Hell on Earth"

SUPER throwback: "Peer Pressure"

Bonus: Temperature Rising

Man, I may catch a lot of flack for this, but I don't give a f*ck..I never fucked with Mob Deep like that. My opinion, Havoc production skills were better than P's lyrical quality..They had a grimey NY style that go them a buzz. I always thought Prodigy was average.. He may be superb to the artist that are out today, but never liked him..Quiet Storm was the ish, but who didn't like "Quiet Storm:.I guess you had to be a true NYC dude to like and feel Mobb.. I felt that P was always getting overshadowed by Pac, Big, Nas, Hov...If anything, he has to thank those 4 for not being as big as he probably could have.

Reckless, was backed into a corner and FORCED to actually display some Hip Hop. Reckless is Now FORCED to make intelligent conversation because the commentors are outblogging SOHH. Your on the right track Reckless and I am Happy to see that you can keep your style while actually shedding light on History. But as a respectful Journalist/Blogger, keep everything Nuetral. What happens if someone enjoys your writings and enjoys 50 Cent and Mobb Deep etc. Do you now exclude your OWN FAN due to your personal opinion. I'm gonna step your Game Up Reckless and so far so good. No need to give any comments on Mobb Deep , or the person above me that starts off his Monday cursing. Lets first off applaud Reckless and SOHH, for broadcasting something HIP HOP and not celebrating Beyonce's new shoes, or Day 26's new cologne line, or some R&B Party Gyant was reluctant to attend. Thank You Reckless and thank you sohh. Now lets work on UNBIASED commentary.

Can somebody please explain to the dude above that journalist and bloggers aren not nearly the same thing...

To all the killers and the hundred dollar billers.
For real niggas who aint got no feelins.

@ Clo FRESH, ok lets go in your world. Bloggers and Journalist are not the same thing. So You admit that we come to this site to waste time, come up with irrelevant conversation, and idiotic topics and this is how we document our culture. If thats the case then Guess what You Win. What I will now do is go to an outlet that where someone who LOVES HIP HOP CULTURE but would rather RELEVANT and EDUCATED DISCUSSION where we all can agree to disagree, thats where I belong then. Not on a site where it is required that you are Born after 1990 and have no sense of Hip Hop History Past Junior Mafia in effort to make a comment on SOHH.com.... CLO, My G don't respond either not a threat just a warning that I will ROAST you with words that will make you pullout a Public Enemy Album or a Das EFX album and you won't come back on this site until you know your history. Until then, You get the point of what I was trying to make and therefore you either agree or disagree respectfully, But I can't wait for you to challenge me. I encourage you to come out your face.

Mobb Deep and Royal Flush also from Queens weren't afraid to get at the West Coast lyrically while Jay-Z made a Tupac diss and was scared to release it. Big stuck to subliminals cause he didn't want it either.

Mobb Deep to Tupac "80G's of gun clapping.... you probably screamed louder than an opera!" LOL!

For all that tough talk from around the city why was only Queens cats answering the bell? Respect it... Queens Reigns Supreme!

The Mobb made great music in those days, I have to ride with Nimrod on this one, althougth I am a Tupac fan, Mobb Deep went straight at 'Pac they didnt cut no corners like Jay-z and Biggy, Biggy was waaaay bigger than Mobb Deep and he was afraid to go at 'Pac, cause Biggy wasnt' a real thug he was just a rapper, and for Jay-z he didn't want to end his career before it began, cause if he went at 'Pac he could've end up like Yung Berg. But R.I.P. to Tupac Shakur and Christopher "Biggy Smalls" Wallace

I'm late as hell on this blog, but I love the old mobb deep. man Clo-Fresh I can't agree with your opinion of mobb deep, but every man is entitled to his own opinion. Man, every Mobb Album before G-Unit was a classic. Great Throwback Reckless.
