Say word. Never would have expected Def Jam to allow this. Check out the new video for Method Man and Redman's new joint "Ayo."

This is in promotion for their "upcoming" album Blackout 2, which they say is "coming soon."

Let me find out Shaolin is trying to make a little noise for summer '09. We've got Raekwon doing his Staten Go Hard mixtape series, now all we need is A.C to come from out of hiding.

Nigga What!!! This is what you call Real Hip-Hop. It's always good to see those to collab together. They bring out the best in each other...And tehy still got it..They had my attention the whole fucking time..Damn, it's looking like only the old heads of the 90's can bring NYC back, even though Red aint from NYC, but still.. You got, Meth, Jada, Nas, Rae, Cam...I really believe that they can bring NYC back.

I already loved the song at first listen, so I had a sure feeling the video would be fire.

I will be coppin' Blackout II April 28.

Now....This is the ish, right hizere, baby!

I have not been this excited about a new album for a long minute...not even 8 Diagrams. Method was always my least favorite from my old favorite group Wu-Tang Clan. However, whenever he gets with Red, that chemistry, it is just on point. You can see it in their faces. Peep their joy throughout the whole video, for real.

Sadly, though, and no disrespect at all, this reminds me of the Run DMC comeback albums circa 1990s, Down with the Kings, etc. before the JD, Rev Run, Jagged Edge era.

Now, I know why my older brothers got hyped on those come back Run DMC albums. Which was out-of-touch to the time in my humble opinion.
Now I know how my 14 yr old nephew will feel about my excitement on this type of ish.

But keep in mind that, when DMC was bringing NY back at that point when Ice Cube and the west, Getto Boys in TX, etc. were coming up.

Look who came behind Run and them....

The Wu, Nas, Biggie. I never felt Biggie personally, felt he had skills, but I was just a Wu Stan, I admit.
So, yeah, I think Meth and Red will bring NY back along with Nas, and Rae, but I believe they will just be bringing the exposure to whomever they'll be passing the torch to. Then it will be up to them new bearers to raise NY to that next level.

Know what I am trying to say?

Ahhh, man.
That is Saukrates from Reds Gilla House imprint.

My Bad.....I think VerbalPainter is right..I was trippin hard!

Nah, they actually look the same, though I think John would be showing more age perhaps? Did he keep his dreads after he got released?

Just goes to show that SOHH ain't Hip Hop its POP POP Morris Day and the TImes Jerome ass writers that worry more about Day26, Beyonce's Shoes, Rihanna's forehead, and Justim TImberlakes Sailor Scruff more that fun colorful hip hop such as this.
