Looks like the promo for Method Man and Redman's Blackout 2 is in full swing.

During the video shoot for their new single "Ms. International," they sat down with Suprememag.com to address some issues.

Method Man: "Honestly, I just want this [album] to be heard. That's all. If you listen to the song ['Ms. International'] that we're doing for the video right now, it's like 'Is this a Redman and Method Man song?' It doesn't seem like we would ever make a song like this.

Red Man: We're maturing. We evolved and learned a lot more from when we dropped the first album. And the sh*t we did in the '90s we can't do now.

I think our era was one of the best eras in hip hop because it really closed the gap between old school and the new school. So with this album, we wanted a bit of that old flair and mixed it in with new, fresh sounds.

Method Man (addressing success): You don't want people saying 'he forgot where he came from.' You're not a true emcee unless you can walk on your own block and be respected.

Which is how rappers get robbed. Like Fabolous. Foxy Brown-- trying to stomp hard through the Pink Houses (smh). Etc. But somehow, and I don't know what part of Staten Island Method lives in, but hey-- if he can live in the hood and be good... that means he's probably broke.

We never really split up!" Method continued. "People need to stop taking sh*t out of context. Even Ludacris, who I respect a lot, kind of upset me with a song he had where he mentioned Wu Tang broke up. No, we didn't break up! There has never been an official statement that said 'We're done' or 'I'm out.'

In regards to the Wu-Tang album that "may have been" in the works, as stated by a Killer Beez promoter, Method stated that "there're things we've got to take care of first before anybody even starts to discuss that."

So don't count on another horrible Wu-Tang Clan effort. I have nothing but love for The Wu, but come correct or don't come at all (PAUSE). That last album was a failure compared to all the other classics that The Wu has put out-- whether together or solo.

-------> "And the sh*t we did in the '90s we can't do now," Redman said. RZA, did you get that memo my dude? This is not 1995.

The album, Blackout 2, is slated for a quick May 19th. DAMN. Could they have given the album a little more time to circulate some buzz? But it's Def Jam. I mean, what else is new....

@ Tool On Deck

Maybe clo's not a follower like yourself. just bc you're from a certain area on the map doesnt mean you have to like their sh*t. maybe he's a florida cat that thinks all or the majority of "flawda" rappers are garbage.

@ Clo

I must admit the groupie touch is a nice look you got going on there. But please tell me that "cbo29" is a nice young chick that just digs your swagg lol!!!

Man, I love Redman. He's the illest that came out of New Jersey, and Muddy Waters is a top ten classic in my book. I love Wu. 36 Chambers, Liquid Swords, OB4CL, etc are all great albums...

But seriously man... I'm waiting for one of these old cats to start coming out on stage with walking canes and wheel chairs lol...

You know I usually will mud foot most tunes I hear, but this joint got got something in it almost classic like.

I don't know what Method Man's talking about but I wish Wu-Tang would go back to sounding the way they did in the 90's. Then maybe I'd actually be able to listen to them again!
