Now that these clowns understand what the definition of a "blog" is and that they DON'T HAVE TO SPEND THEIR TIME READING THIS F*CKING COLUMN (for crying out loud) even though they seem to keep reading anyways (smh), let's begin this Monday in HORRIBLE HIP-HOP...
... A genre that nearly sickens me and will continue to do so until NYC rappers get their acts right so keep raising your blood pressure over your little idols. I love it. More hate! More insults! I feel lonely without them. I really miss the 400+ comments days. Full of hatred, death threats, and anonymous stans. Until Friday I almost felt like no one cared enough to despise me.
Something came in my inbox to brighten my outlook on the sh*tty hip-hop situation.

-------> Raekwon - "Want In (Freestyle)"
THIS mixtape ^^^ is the first installment of many more to come-- brought to you by the Brinks Boys. Which leads me to the FIRST EDITION of....
.... Throwback Mondays!!! Some new ish I will be posting at the start of each week to remind real hip-hop heads how real it once was-- in all aspects of the hip-hop genre, not just musically. Many of you will not be able to relate... yes, I know. Unfortunately for you, this Throwback Mondays segment will not be used for hip-hop 101. So if you don't know it, Google it. Or hit the "X" in the top right. Or better yet, don't come in here at all. Which I can't stress enough.
Where were YOU when these joints came out? In the club? College days? With a SONY walkman riding the 2 train? Still a kid but old enough to remember? By the looks of the kind of silly readers I have, my guess is many of you were still swimming alongside millions of others. So please don't comment. I don't wanna have to delete today.
Bonus: Eddie Murphy Delerious Stand-Up - Ice Cream Skit
These are from the days when NY was the Mecca of Hip Hop! The west coast was in the picture too, but the east was dominant!!! Alot of NY rappers are jocking other regions, but there are many who are keeping it true and being themselves. Jada, Maino, Uncle Murda, Papoose, Red Cafe, Joell Ortiz all spit and dont copy the southern sound. Real Hip Hop is out there people just have to be willing to part with $10 here and there to support it.
Wow... When 36 chambers came out I was only 12 years old. By the time I reached 13 I could recite the whole album front to back. Truly one of the best albums I will ever own. I know Wu isn't exactly what it once was, but any true fan will still appreciate their music (AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO ACTUALLY LIKED 8 DIAGRAMS????). Where have all the real hip hop fans gone? Young kids these days have no idea how great hip hop used to be. "Life as a shorty shouldn't be so rough".
Asking a young nigga not to digitally steal a track is like asking a young nigga to read a book. It will never happen. When the WU came out I was in the Persian Gulf watching it on Yo! These niggas were hot and they kept it gutter. They will always have my ear because they brought that gutter back to hip hop. Less West Coast funk, more street. Living west back then it was getting monotonous. A new G Funk crew was dropping daily fucking up the radio play for the good music. Rae is on various tracks lately and his verses are always the best on the whole track. Joel Ortiz, Jada, Styles, Uncle Murda, Pap, Red Cafe, Nipsy Hustle (I'm not sure if he's a New Yorker), CamRon, Shiek Louch, Charles Hamilton and a few others are still keeping it gutter. I'm a Chicago kid but that NY style of hip hop has always been a major influence here. I like this throwback stuff. I listen to Sirius 39, 40 and 45 on the way to the plantation then back home. Sirius 39 goes hard on Mondays with Afrika Baambata and Cutman LG. Names I'm sure half of your posters have to google Reckless. I mispelled Afrika's name so they'll stay lost.
Peace to the real!
Those videos brought me back to the true essence of what Hip-Hop once was...When those songs dropped I was in was in the 9th grade, 1994 baby!!! Remember like it was yesterday..That's what you call classic throwback..When you hear a song and you can think back to the season, month, year, and where you were when you first heard it.
Man, my comment didn't post on the last blog. I'm not happy about that. But, Reckless this is what you have to do in order for the young boys to understand y u are so upset with the state of NY hip-hop today. Just keep hittin dudes over the head with classics. U can't deny it. Matter of fact, you should put a real classic, and then put what youngins consider a classic (50, Dips, etc...) so they could understand the difference. LOL... but, for real though. I'm with u most of the time. O, and to the dude askin about Nipsey, he's from LA. But, I like him too, he's an essence of orginial west coast hip-hop. I never been to Cali, but I feel him way more than the Game. I hope he gets his just due. peace, my brothas.

I always felt that the golden era of hip hop was 86 thru 95. That's before Pac made DRAMA more important than the music. Once BEEFING overshadowed the genre it became a different animal. There had always been beef in rap but it NEVER overshadowed the craft. I'll never forget Wu performing C.R.E.A.M. on Arsenio Hall in LA to signal the comeback of NY rap. If you can find that clip Reckless post it, that's a beast.
Those West Coast bums introduced all the homo-erotic insults and ignorance of gang culture that has permeated not only the music but our communities. The East responded with the ignorance of Drug Culture because we didn't have gangs back then. We had our own identity but I digress....
@Clo-Fresh
Keep track of your lies. The other day you said you was at Norfolk State from 97 to 01 now you're a HS freshman in 94. You try too hard to self promote. Take off the mask and reveal yourself. You know I know. You're a FRAUD and your slip is showing so fix your skirt.

i must confess i'm young gun first and foremost, i could barely think when this joints were dropped, but i despise the state of rap currently, i totally love the good old days of rap and i'm constantly downloading or buying classic old songs and discs, being doing that for almost 5yrs now and can relate to u ol' g's(no offence) more
i totally love the wu....just dont understand where d world is heading with such a high level of ignorance
