Where in the World is OB4CL2?

The last time I heard from Raekwon and any signs of Only Built 4 Cuban Linx II, the Ghostface-featured "Necro" was playing on Hot 97. That was May of last year. It's now nearly February of 2009.

These dudes have no consistency. I aint waiting for this sh*t no more man. Raekwon has been in the lab working on the follow-up to the 90s classic for how long now? More than two years. And over two years later, we still have singles from the same album dropping every six months. Here's yet another one:

 -------> Raekwon f/ Ghostface - "Criminology 2"

After all the ashes have cleared and the dust has settled, I'm wondering if the Wu producer finally got Rae to "stop whining."

What was Rae "whining" about? RZA's boring production on the last Wu album, which turned out to be a near disaster-- and Ghostface co-signed that one. Along with most of the people who bothered to buy the album.

On the flip side, however, the joint above is just a retouch of the original, which was produced by none other than the RZA himself. (That's pronounced "RIZ-UH" -- not ARE-ZEE-EIGH"-- for all you Soulja Boys out there. A lil hip-hop dictionary for all you smart dumb cats and all that.)

Throwback:

The original "Criminology"

Ghost came correct on the second installment. But still, sometimes original versions are better left untouched. There is absolutely nothing classic about the remake. This is mediocre at best. Now you explain to me how OB4CL2 is gonna be another classic? It wont be. There are no such thing as "classic albums" anymore.

I follow all the Wu-Tang generals closely to a T and log onto the forums on the WuTang-Corp website and from there I heard that additional vocals are now being recorded by Blue Raspberry who was on the original OB4CL. We can take it as a sign that things are rapping up? New release date is March/April 09

Also, the Aftermath situation didn't work out, so Rae is going indie this time around dropping the second installment on his own Ice Water Inc. imprint

Reckless, you lame to even think that Rae and all of the Wu niggas can still put out classic material...Their time has passed. Rae can never match his 1st classic album...I laugh at the thought of releasing a OB4CL2.....

it drops April 7th

this dude reckless lost his faith in hip-hop long time ago.. rae is back in another emotional rollercoaster!!

this is why ob4cl2 will be a classic: http://www.zshare.net/audio/54938832ed1c6481/
