"I wanna thank the mothaf*ckas who helped them move they sh*t up out the White House. Keep it movin bitch! Cause my president is mothaf*ckin black, n*gga!"-- Young Jeezy
In this video, Bill O'Reilly and his sidekick comment on Young Jeezy and Jay-Z's embarrassing "My President is Black" boasting.
Bill O'Reilly has issues. And that's a given. But being that he's a closet hip-hop fan, I think that O'Reilly mostly likes to hear himself talk.
What is seen in this video, however, is something different. I don't see this as Bill just feeling like picking on hip-hop, or him "attacking." Calling Nas's Soundscan numbers a "disaster" and a bunch of other sh*t, like what O'Reilly did after Untitled dropped-- now THAT'S what you would call attacking.
I don't agree with a lot of what O'Reilly says. But I do agree with a lot of what he's saying this time.
I never liked Young Jeezy's stupid "My President is Black" song. EVER. I thought it was an uneducated, unproficient, Southerner's way of articulating his appreciation. No, he's not Immortal Technique. No, he's not M-1 or Stic.man. No, he's not Common, or Mos Def, or any other rapper that can convey a message in a skillful manner. But he's still an idiot.
Now, with this video, it has become even more clear that Young Jeezy is an empty-headed, foolish, dimwit. And it's embarrassing to see a historical event like the one we've just experience be dumbed down and burried in muddy ignorance when people say sh*t like "it's not the White House, it's the Black House!"
I do, however, co-sign the props to the dude who threw his shoes at Bush. Too bad it didn't contain anything explosive.
I don't co-sign Jay stooping to Jeezy's level. But Hov got with some greedy developers and took part in the continuing destruction of Brooklyn. So I'm pretty much convinced that he's down with some sell out sh*t behind the scenes. In other words, don't take a damn thing he -- the black Republican -- said that seriously. But it was still not a good look on his part.
I do co-sign journalists spitefully digging up sh*t to further prove their point, like what you see below:
Q: Pretend George W. Bush just named you secretary of defense. What's your Iraq policy?
Jeezy: Bush is a motherf*cking gangsta. N*ggas ain't got no business over there, really. But, you know. I'm down with America either way.
A gangsta, huh? So what's it gonna be, you half-assed, cornball ass n*gga? Make up your mind.
Right or Not I will Never Co sign with Bill O'reilly!!!
These Expressing how happy they are bush is out!! This is at a club..which might as well been a baber shop with a mic. Real talk goes down ... Real dialouge ... Now all of a sudden we want rapppers to start acting like they are harvard educated and relate to people by speaking perfect english and wear cardigan sweaters!!
You Cosign with the devil if you want at least we know were you stand. Judge the man/woman in the mirror!
i co-sign the guy Cryme boss.
What idiot wrote this article??? Wants to sound educated and political, but this was a reach. This is what rappers do, they are not role models. Freedom of speech, these dudes are only trying to reach their fan base, not the mass. Kill your self!!
smh @ this "blog"..... first of all to be all the way real I don't see what was wrong with what jeezy said.... that quote that you pulled up doesn't prove he contradicted himself for the simple fact that the wasnt sayin he's gangsta in a positive way... right after that he said we didnt have no business bein over there and that he's still down with "AMERICA"... not bush.... jeezy said what millions of americans got on they mind anyway.... the majority if not all of us are glad this prick of a president is gone.... so what's the issue? O'Reilly finds any and every way to capitalize off any issue in regards to hip hop and turn it into something bigger than it is and you co-sign this my dude? Say's alot about you... I'm surprised you went out your way to even make this "blog".... fuckin sohh sucks dick hard now yo... lol... word em up
SMH at the idiots replying to this blog. You don't have to be Hardvard educated to know NOT to make idiotic statements and use vulgar language. Yes this is a historic moment for ALL of us and we should treat it as such. People get in line for CHANGE. It's not just time for political change and economic change, it's also time for personal change. Barack Obama has already chastised black folks for this behavior. Get with the program!!!!!
Its about time we expect a higher standard from rappers. Whether they like it or not, and whether we like it or not, they are role models. And they should be mindful of what they say because they have a huge impact on our community.
I did take offense to the 'Southerner' portion, although I am glad the writer chose to use capitalization. Not all Southerners are unintelligent. I am a native Atlantan from BANKHEAD who holds a Master's in Journalism and Political Science. And I didn't get that by being 'unporficient', which is, incidentally, not a word.
I think its important that Young Jeezy not be allowed to speak for our community. Rappers should speak for themselves. I resent that they would try to do otherwise, and I resent the press for slyly allowing them to do so.
@bug Look u stooopid ass!! You miss the point ! We are in america, free speach and all. He can say what ever his heart feels (rappers tend to do that). Now I will never look at a rapper as some kind of community leader but even in the crudeist launguage Jeezy expressed how I felt and many others (but not for everybody). He obviously struck a cord in you by attacking Bush in that manner.
Now this isnt a situation where Jeezy and Jayz were talking on behalf of Obama, they were at the club..doing a performace. Just because someone with a camera phone or some s##t filmed it we discuss it. But to cosign with O'riely is totaly something else in its self.
Now these self-hating blacks are coming out the wood work, looking to attack rappers along with O'Riley. I sure Jeezy had been saying things deemed as ignorant for a long time, now that we have a Black President for about 3days Jeezy and all other rappers for that matter are suppose to go throught the Master P transformation?????
I couldnt agree more. I often ignore Bill, not only because he disrespects rappers, but he only does it to get a reaction from us which makes him bigger than what he really is. I mean think about it, would we even know who this guy was if he didn't use his power to create controversy? In my opinion, Young Jeezy looked like an idiot out there. Its obvious that hes ignorant to a lot of issues. Yeah he dedicated a song to Obama, but couldnt resist the same ol' n*gger sh*t when he included that his Lambo was blue and his rims were too. To me, thats the most backward sh*t in the world! How are you going to embrace our new president, who is all about change, but YOU remain the same? I dont get it...
EXCELLENT POST, RECKLESS!!! (Lightning has indeed struck twice at one spot.)
Excellent, excellent, excellent!!! I'm glad this is up so others can read it. Ain't got nothing to say to this but "cosign."
Just like you wrote, I thought the original record was trash to begin with - both the statements and Young Cheezy's trashy lyrics (how he has a record deal is beyond me). But what that moron did on inauguration night was a crying shame.
The only thing worse than Jeezy is the idiots who take up for him, calling others "self-hating blacks." [scratching my greasy head.] I give Reckless much props for having the maturity to say O'Reilly is right on this one, because he definitely.
A memo to ignorant, gangsta negroes: OBAMA DOESN'T REPRESENT YOUR KIND. In fact, as a Black man Obama couldn't be more different than you. That's why he uninvited you monkeys to coming to DC, or even making songs in his honor. HE DOESN'T WANT TO ASSOCIATE HIMSELF WITH YOU.
And he's got every reason for it; he knew full well that there would be stupidity like this.
SOMEBODY THROW A SHOE AT JEEZY!
This is were the self hating Blacks coment comes to play for people like React comments:
A memo to ignorant, gangsta negroes: OBAMA DOESN'T REPRESENT YOUR KIND. In fact, as a Black man Obama couldn't be more different than you. That's why he uninvited you monkeys to coming to DC, or even making songs in his honor. HE DOESN'T WANT TO ASSOCIATE HIMSELF WITH YOU.
He actually used negroes smh. Totally disagree if he didnt want to associate himself with rap them he would not have told the news media he listens to JAY z ,or Ludacris or any other hip hop artist.
When I read this I can see the arguement about Jeezy's Lyrics little weak but damn , who held this guy in the ranks of Rakim or Biggie or Nas or any great lyrist. But you dude are lost cause O'riley attacks hip hop and rappers just because it black culture that he can't understand or care for.
I have watch this dude attack rap as cause of violence in the community. He attacked Luda cause he had a deal with coke cola. Look this dude is on a mission to destroy whats ours. I am not running with that racist bastard and I cant feel the fact you are coming up with reasons to do that. Just because you agree the lyrics are weak co-sign with Bill O'Riley is a another reason all together. Next you dudes is going to jump on Rush Limbauhs DI#K! You cats are funny style dudes.
UMM this nigga reckless is fucking stupid. How is hov fucking up brooklyn? Nigga he's bringing money to brooklyn

Destroying what's ours??? Please! Let's try being objective here as opposed to letting one's love of music blind your judgment and common sense. And don't deny what's right just because it came from someone you don't like personally - if you want, there are plenty of Black commentators who are saying the same thing about Jeezy & Jay-Z's debacle.
1) Bottom line: What they did was absolutely unacceptable - nevermind WHO they are or WHO pointed out the fact. There's absolutely no resolution to that.
2) I don't where you got the idea from, but this has nothing to do with Jeezy's bummy lyrics. It doesn't matter if it WAS Rakim, it would still be ignorant and uncalled for.
3) But back to that "what's ours" statement. What is it that you are protecting? Negative images and stereotypes perpetuated by Blacks on ourselves that does damage to our own people??? That's what you want to protect from O'Reilly???
Whoever wrote this article is full of sh*t!!! Go to college dogg!!
@react
1. As I said it may be unacceptable but Im not going to deny what they said wasnt the same feeling of numerous others. Now we wanna be politically correct with the likes of rappers(r u serious). Get over yourself. This is free speech and this country was able to grow because of it. and Obama is in office because of it. If you cant see how let me know and I will give u a history lesson.
2. Jeezy lyrics was brought up cause to point out what the hell can you expect him to say? Did you expect him to express his feelings with a disertation on whats wrong with america at a f'n club?
3.Now the "Whats ours"statement. When I made that statement it goes along with the don Imus debacle and also white guy loses his mind on stage drops the N bomb 115 times and then all of a sudden hip hop is under attack! When both these dude have little impact on the culture or music. When a socially unaccepted situation takes place the first place they go is hip hop. Granted jay z and Jeezy are hip hop stars but thay are not community leaders. I dont care what the people say or do has nothing to do wit hco-signing with BILL OREILY that been after hip hop since he couild say the word hip hop.
I can find a 100 thousand billon things wrong with hip hop today, but I will never Co-Sign with Oriely the original topic of this disscusion..Notice Gyant Changed the title!!!! It like finding something to agree with the KKK cause they have a point on one damn issue. Do you co sign a racist?
Correction reckless Changed the title it used to read "I Co-Sign" but you can see in the article where he states that. I have a problem with CoSign part...not the fact it was tastless and uncalled for caus e it was, but they are using their right to express themselves. I will defend that tooth and nail.
