In case you missed the memo, which is nearly impossible, Barack Hussein Obama is now officially the 44th president of the United States.

Hov took it back stage to speak with MTV's Sway on Obama's Inaugural.

"I think the most important thing [Obama] said to me ... cause everyone's wondering, it seemed like the dream ticket for him to run for Vice President until he got some experience under his belt and then go for President. He was like 'nah... I wanna be President right now.' And just that strong will and determination and look where he is now. In the beginning, no one believed he had a shot. This is a community organizer out of Chicago with very little political experience. But that goes to show you that the strong will and the connection to a people. It wasnt about how many years you been in politics. I think that actually helped him."

NOBODY GAVE OBAMA A CHANCE IN THE BEGINNING... ESPECIALLY ME!

But since he now has actually been sworn in, I pray that he makes the best of his opportunity.

There are several things that made this happen:

1) Timing - He has come at a time when the previous administration was perhaps the most HATED administration in the country's history (next to Nixon's). All he had to do was promise a change, and people went with him.

2) Charisma - The only thing he had politically prior to this was the speech that he gave at the 2004 DNC - the one in which he repeatedly referred to himself as "just a skinny Black kid from Chicago." But in 4 years he became a celebrity and global icon. His speaking ability as absolutely amazing - especially when compared to Bush.

Recall the fact that for most of his campaign, his main argument was that he was the only candidate (unlike Clinton, Biden, Edwards) that voted against the war on Iraq. And after the primaries, he capitalized on the economic meltdown, pointing the finger not only at Bush but all Republican philosophy.

So, no I didn't give him a chance either in the beginning - and for good reason. This is like the Patriots beating the Rams a few years back; thought to be improbable at first.

HAHAHAHAHAAAAA...

Now watch all the Obama worshipers lose their minds as if I've just committed blasphemy by being truthful and logical. Go ahead, y'all!

I was waiting for a hater to come out and say he only won because he was Black or lucky or whatever excuse the pundits want to make. I'm not even going to give your commentary a buzz because it's bullshit to say the least. Obama, Obama, Obama!!!! That's all I have to say. Peace to Reckless. Keep trying, they're coming back.

@ E Frazier

Whattup, E! Yeah, they're coming back... slowly.

Come on, bruh! That ain't "hating" it's making logical assessments. And all you've gotta look at is the same people that are riding with Obama now - Biden and Clinton. Rewind all the good sh*t they wuz kickin 10 months ago and you'll get what I mean.

Politics follows a certain line of reasoning and logic. And for all purposes and intents, Obama was the dark horse (no pun intended) of the campaign. The factors that make one candidate more favorable than the next were NOT in Obama's favor - and I'm not even talking about race. Rather, it was largely because of the two issues I mentioned earlier, plus more I'm sure.

Politics is at times nothing more than a popularity contest. As for the other times, guess what weighs in the heaviest:

Experience (Obama had the least of the candidates - he's even a rookie as a senator!)

Voting record (Obama's defining point was his vote on Iraq, which he milked for all it's worth. Otherwise, the Democratic candidates were all the same - plus others, except for Hillary, had done a lot more voting to even have an ascertainable record.)

See that, fam? That's just logic talking, not hero-worship. I'm happy that he won; it's good for the country and for America's global image. But Geppetto's still manning the strings.

WANNA SEE "HATIN"???

For the record, "hatin" would be something like me commenting on Michelle Obama's dress at the inaugural ball - that one-sling above the shoulder, Wilma Flintstone-lookin outfit she had on. LMAO. But, ayo, I don't sh*t like that... I couldn't care less... that sh*t's for chicks. LMAO.

That was just a PSA of what qualifies as "hatin".
