Gravy has come along way from that up-and-coming rapper from Brooklyn who got banned from Hot 97. Why? For getting shot in the ass... and then proceeding to the radio station to do the interview after it all went down.
Now that's definitely a cat from Brooklyn.
No doubt, the kid has heart, but does he have what it takes to convincingly play the role of a rapper that was loved by many and is still revered over ten years after his death? Is he going to be like 50 in "Get Rich"? DMX in "Never Die Alone"? Ja Rule in "Fast and the Furious"? I don't know, and I HOPE NOT, because 50's acting sucks, DMX is not great, and Ja Rule is just corny.
Out of curiosity I plan to see what they did with this movie... unlike Lil Kim, who has expressed disgust and disapproval of the way the movie was put together.
But is Lil Kim bitter because she was probably depicted in the movie as a hoodrat whore? Or is she tight because Charli Baltimore probably got more of the whore limelight in the motion picture than she did? In case you didn't know, both Kim and Charli were Biggie's slide-offs even while he was still married to Faith Evans. May the best whore get the best role.
Also, Kim claims that Ms. Wallace needs to be "exposed," but could it be that Lil Kim has a little bit of hate for Ms. Wallace for reasons left unspoken? A lot of the time, when mothers see a sewage rat hanging off their son's ballsacks, they tend to get involved.
Aight, Kimberly. "Face" it. Charli probably got a better look in the movie, and Ms. Wallace just plain, flat-out doesn't like you. Or maybe Charli is barely in the movie. Maybe Kim is just mad she didn't get a big enough cut to cover another facial surgery. If she got a cut at all.
Looking at these video clips from "Notorious," I can't state anything here nor there. But I'll let you be the judge:
Clip 1
Clip 2
I want to give this movie a chance. The clips are...just okay. I like the raps, but the acting seems really forced.
