Def might as well relocate their offices to Yankee Stadium, because they've been striking out so many players, Babe Ruth's legacy pales in comparison.

So, it's 5 and 7 for Def Jam in the '09! I've lost count, but they've outed about 5 rap artists, and trust, they'll be benching about 7 more-- or whatever they have left. It's a new year. Still hanging hip-hop by the neck. Still signing more R&B acts. Uncle Murda is the most recent rap act to feel the wrath. Not that he was worth a major label deal anyways.

"I might make [the bullet] my album cover," Uncle Murda once told SOHH.

Ahaha. What album, n*gga?!

Uncle Murda, Uncle Murda. I like how he tried to slide that "Im no longer with Def Jam" in reeeeeeal slick. And then kept it moving like he didn't just say it.

About a year ago, Uncle Murda got shot in the head-- well, got grazed in the head-- by a death wish. And afterwards, he gave SOHH an exclusive interview. If Pac and Biggie were here, boy would they be laughing and shaking their heads at how corny this dude is.

 Run That Back:

"The shooter got shot, but I'm good."

"It ain't the first time. I've always gone through situations where people try to take my life. I've probably been shot at about five thousand times."

"[I'm] just hard to kill, like Steven Seagal. It was a cheap bullet."

"I might make [the bullet] my album cover."

"We doin' our own investigation, GMG/Roc-a-Fella/Man Hood/ Team Invasion/Violator investigations. We take care of business. We make them suffer."

Number one, the "assailant" was never tracked down. Or ever heard from at all, period. So what happened, son? Didn't you say in one of your songs that anyone who doesn't avenge their potential killer is a bitch? Or was that some other cornball mixtape rapper? Probably was.

Number two, ... are you serious? This interview still amazes me. That had to have been the corniest interview of 2008. He made Lil Wayne's sky-high interviews look like a molehill.

So what's next for Unc? Can't imagine him getting signed. There ARE no more "real" rap record deals. Even if he was better than mixtape material, he'd have no future. So if you're not in now, you'll never be.

I know what's next: find your shooter! That's the only magazine cover you'll ever get. I don't know what the hell kind of "covers" Vlad was referring to.

I knew his album was never droppin. Def Jam is now almost exclusively r&b. If this was the 90s he wouldn't have this problem like so many rappers are facing. You have to be a ringtone rapper now to drop an album. Only in hip hop you see other people controling what blacks and latinos started. You don't see that in rock, country or any other genre except maybe r&b.

@Will... You Must be Latino bruh, lol, cause no where no time and not ever was a latino responsible for "starting Hip Hop". I Gotta tell you, one black man to a one latin man, White people had more contributions at the start then latins. Real talk. So im just saying dont count latino's as the starting force of hip hop while seperating white folks, cause when it comes down to it, Black people started it and it spread to every culture.

@Dat Dude
Latinos were there. They were breakin and sprayin the walls and by definition those are pillars of Hip Hop.

Dat dude youre a dick

Latins helped but they aint start hip hop wit us point blank unless kool herc was mixed or something
