New Ish! Jay-Z Goes BK Style On "Brooklyn Go Hard"

With this one, he's going back to Brooklyn. Jamaican accent and all.

This is what I would have expected on "Hello Brooklyn," not that horrible beat and that horrible Lil' Wayne verse.

Guess he's making up for lost ground on this one. Or at least trying to.

-------> "Brooklyn Go Hard"

After listening to it over and over again, I let it sit and marinate to see what I felt about it. I feel a LOT better than what I felt with "Jockin Jay-Z." What they have in common is that they're both club joints. And this outdoes "History" by a long shot. Or maybe I'm telling myself that this song is better than what it really is because I'm hoping Hov will come through on what may be his last effort. He'd BETTER come correct. He's already struggling to keep listening ears.

Can this be the joint that gets Hov his buzz?

Damn. What am I saying? Jay NEVER has to make more than one attempt to regain his following. Times are changing. Or he's getting sloppy. Nah. I think we've already come to that conclusion already.

But back to the issue at hand. Sorry to crash the party for all you Hova listeners, but this isn't even from BP3. This song, which was produced by Kanye and smaples Santogold's "Shove It," is from the Notorious soundtrack.

Wait?
When did Hov lose his following?

When has he struggled to keep people listening ?

I don't get it.

Are you for real? First of all, this site is a day or two late on this song. Secondly, did you even listen to how hard he spit? And not just the obvious second verse but the first was hard. Lastly and most importantly, don't EVER mention Wayne's name with this song. The reason I didn't care for hello Brooklyn was because he was on it. Get your mind right.

BTW: When Santogold's album first came out, am I the only one that thought shove it was a veiled shot at Obama? I know she eventually became a supporter but the hook made me think she was talking about him and his message.

Sorry Stans. This joint is not hot. That makes a couple of joints in a row where Hov missed the mark. I would never deny the man his props for what he's done, but...damn. And yes, I KNOW he's rich...

I wasn't a fan of Jocking Jay-Z, but i'm feeling this one.

i read this blog daily and have come to realize that this dude just doesnt leave his house. either that or this is jim jones writing this blog. its all personal opinion and to be honest, i think hov refused to sign an autograph for him a while back. NO BUZZ!!. I travel alot and have heard songs like Dear Summer played as far as in New Orleans and that was a friggin freestyle!! History may be the best song Jay ever wrote because the concept, meaning and wordplay were amazing. Jay has been selling out arenas around the world but he has no buzz?? U have no credibility dawgy.
