Maybe I just wasn't paying attention, but I thought Swizz was M.I.A for a while. Now all of a sudden, after failing to bring back Drag-On, not being able to do a thing for Cassidy, and so on and so forth, Swizz seems to be talking like he's in the know of what's going on with Eminem.
Is anyone checking for Em? I'm not. With the exception of "My Name Is" and maybe one or two others, his goofy sh*t is too corny for me, and his serious stuff-- which I can easily listen to-- seems to have gone from dope to "skip."  All that talk about his daughter is aight, but it gets to be too mundane.  But according to Swizz, Em is "back" to change the game. Yawn. We've heard it all before. In fact, I bet you can GUESS what's going to be in Swizz's below quotes:

"I don't know the title yet, but it's classic," he told MTV. "It's sounding big."

How many times have we heard that blasted word "classic"? I hate that word. It doesn't exist anymore. These dudes need to stop using that as PR material.

"You know how 'Stan' ... was the big [song]? So I worked on part 2, and I think it was, like, totally genius."

I f*cks with "Stan" too, but what can possibly be done as a second part? Whatever it is, I bet you Em will find a way to include his daughter in it.

"It's different. Different sound, different mind frame," Swizz continued. "He's clear. But it's the Eminem that you missed, that you loved, that you need, especially right now in the industry, going into '09. He's coming back to take the cake."

This is the problem with the English language. The words "especially right now into the industry" and "coming back to take the cake" have been said by so many artists SO many different times, and in so many different ways, forms, and disguises, that QD3 can do a documentary on that alone and get at least 4 hours of footage.

Music is so wack right now, it's ridiculous. The only thing there is for me to do is hate on n*ggas. Which is what I've always been doing. But at least a couple of years ago, there were things to talk about.

So what will we be talking about in '09?:

50 Cent flopping, Busta Rhymes flopping, Jay-Z just barely making it, Kanye still being one of the very few who can sell a physical CD, No Detox  album... still. And-- Eminem still making songs about his daughter.

The new year doesn't look very promising. But not according to Swizz, of course, 'cause Em is coming with a CLASSIC! Forget HIS artists. He's focusing on where the money's at. After all, he did say he submitted five tracks for Eminem's Relapse album. So no WONDER he's kissing so much ass about this project. He wants all five of those tracks to make the final cut.

Nice move, Swizz. Do whatever you gotta do to make the second Great Depression recession work for you.

damn reckless you sound a lil disgruntled, and a lil fed up with hip hop in general.
Go listen to jazz or something.

Just wait for the music,,,you hatin on niggaz for workin in the studio?...

yo i couldnt agree with you more. eminem is trash and hip hop is beyond deceased. it has already been creamated. and its ashes are now one with the earth.

i disagree i think that you are a hater. The east coast aint poppin like that so its harder to get your artist on with label support. this is a hater article. you don't know what these niggas albums is going to sound like. Im feeling everything busta droppin right now. and gold is not a flop.niggas like you is the reason the east is still hurtin and i aint from there.

@Yeah: But yet you still come on hip hop websites to post trash, Eminem is one of the greatest and hip Hop aint dead it just needs some fresh blood in the game. With Eminem, Dre, B.o.B and Asher Roth all coming with big albums in '09 we will see the best of the old school along with the best of the new school. All you haters can go listen to Kanye and his Hip Pop if you want, but i'd rather listen to someone who will stay true to the style.

Well RECKLESS it seems you found every negative angle to view all this artist you discuss in here (which none I agree with). Now I understand that today's "hip-hop" or rap music hasn't really met the expectation of many, but that gives no excuse for your "half glass empty" attitude and negative comments on material you haven't even heard yet! Stop being so pessimistic about every little thing and express some love and hope for our beloved genre.

i agree with EVERYTHING this guy just said. True Kanye is still gonna sell, but he sucks now. forgot to mention that.

hate on, hate on.

P.S.- This new commenting system for this website is why people arent leaving as many comments. it took me like 5 minutes to sign in.

Eminem aint wack aint you mafuhkas know dat. His singles are goofy, but he's white. They sposed to be goofy e'now and then.

You are a bitter man, suprised they let you write. Hater.

If you really think this is a second great depression you might want to read a book about the subject, or at least look at the pictures of the unending bread lines. Seeing as you are perched behind a keyboard typing away about Marshall Mathers rather than out on the street trying to scrounge up enough food to keep you alive, it's obvious that you are just using the strikeover function to add gravity to your bullshit.

dude this website is turning into the source magazine the old one you guys are haters and why does every blogg from you guys always seem to mention 50 cent man no wonder yall dont like the song stan cause its about you im moving to another website a non biased one this aint hip hop no more cause you fools are ruining it

I can't lie. Eminem was my favorite rapper for years and years, when that boy spit somethin' new, I would drop whatever I was doing and listen. He was the first rap artist who wasn't from the west that I could literally call my favorite emcee...

But idk now. After that "Encore" and all that otha stuff he been comin' out wit, I really dunno how I can have faith in this album. I would LOVE to get a good Eminem CD with his old style, but I two am afraid it's gonna be his generic immature jokes he now does or about his daughter like the author said....

Either way, I'm rootin' Em can come back. For all hez contributed, he still remainz a favorite emcee of mine...I hope he can snag the top spot bacc once more for me. Let's see him prove it.

eminem is the king ! F***k all haters

Blah blah blah. Keep lookin' for sales and platinum plaques. The real work is being done in the underground, without worldwide sales and distribution. Keep being sheep to this industry and you'll always be slaughtered cut-up and cooked for dinner. I-N-D-E-P-E-N-D-E-N-T like Mos said...

ISo

Hey Reckless.... All Eminem's goofy songs? obviously there is a few on each album to sell the records. and all his serious songs are about his daughter? how many songs did he make for her? 3 in total? if that?

DO U LISTEN TO THE MUSIC? OR DO U JUST SKIM THROUGH IT?
