How "Easy" Is It For Red Cafe?

According to his industry record, not very. But according to the words he spits on this Anita Baker-sampled track, he makes it look quite simple.

"Red Cafe- So Easy (Remix)"

Maybe I just wasn't paying attention, but I thought Swizz was M.I.A for a while. Now all of a sudden, after failing to bring back Drag-On, not being able to do a thing for Cassidy, and so on and so forth, Swizz seems to be talking like he's in the know of what's going on with Eminem.

Busta appears to be back to that old Busta Rhymes many of us know and love.

A lot of the time, when someone is jailed, they get out a little sooner than their scheduled release date.  But Remy--who I thought had come out of her denial and accepted her sentencing due to her being relatively M.I.A.-- isn't settling for "a little sooner."  In fact, she's aiming for a maximum served time of just 9 months... out of 8 years.  The wish she sent to Santa: Let me come just in time for Christmas.

Damn. That's it? After all that talk? That's ALL?

"'Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is... commonly characterized by obsessive, distressing, repetitive thoughts and related compulsions. The phrase "obsessive-compulsive"... is often used in an informal or caricatured manner to describe someone who is... absorbed in a cause, [ritual], or otherwise fixated on something or someone.[1] Although these signs are often present in OCD, a person who exhibits them does not necessarily have OCD, and may instead have obsessive-compulsive personality disorder (OCPD) or some other condition (Wiki).'

She went from your average hoodrat who was childishly obsessed with colorful wigs and barbie-style fashion, to the damn near unrecognizable female Michael Jackson. What used to be a decent-- and what some even called "cute"-- chick from Brooklyn became a black Donatella Versace, Jim Henson muppet face and all. And if she continues, the Jocelyn Wildenstein look won't be far ahead of her.

... Or find someone to diss.

I appreciate artists like Kanye West, even though I'm not so sure I appreciate the new music he's been releasing as of late.  But there's no denying that in the past five years, 'Ye has given many of us a breath of fresh air when it comes to hip-hop music.  However, I often wonder if Kanye would have been around to give us something refreshing to listen to if it weren't for Damon Dash. Why wonder, though, when the answer to that is an obvious "no"?

Yeah, you read the headline right. And it didn't stop there. Dame threw in The Chronic as well.

Tru Life couldn't have said it better

"N*ggas is trying to be in gangs calling themselves Bloods now, and Crips and all that. We don't rock like that man, this is New York City. We aint never gang banged in our life. N*ggas in L.A, their grandmothers is Crips, their grandfathers is Bloods... that's the way of life out there...that ain't our way of life, so I can't respect that sh*t over here. A n*gga telling me like...[I said to him] you 28, 29 years old and you calling yourself a Blood? You aint grow up like that!"-- Tru Life, All Access DVD, June 2006

Jadakiss

Rik Cordero strikes again with Jadakiss' video for "Who Run This," which is the exact opposite of Kiss' lead single "By My Side"-- a joint strictly for the ladies. Every rapper needs one or two songs for the shorties. Some rappers, like Fab, make seven or eight. Or f*ck it-- a whole damn album.

Tony Yayo

"That's why got love for 50 I don't know what the f*ck was wrong with Buck man. He's beggin' now though. He's beggin'. You see him quiet? He's quiet. Quiet as a church mouse. You know why? Cause he's tryin' to negotiate. That's why I keep pluckin' at him. Cause he can't say nothing. Cause he's gonna try to negotiate. He'll be losing everything soon. You know why I don't like that n*gga? Cause he's always been a snake. And I always knew it. I just chilled. ... [But] I'm never gonna stop 50 from being who he is, he's a business man."

"He was in the South... trying to be Jeezy and all them other n*ggas, he didn't have money like that. He was spending, spending, spending. And I was watching him spend. ... He just looked at it like, '50's my friend, I'm gonna keep ballin.' 50's my friend but at the same time he's my boss so I know when to keep it business, and when to keep it a friendship. ... But now [Buck is] mad quiet because he owes 50 three more albums. So when Buck is on YouTube, and his house is gone, and you all interview him, I will be back up here to laugh at him."-- Yayo told Kay Slay on his Shade 45 show.
Jay-Z

Jim Jones is still obsessed with Jay. As usual, Peedi Crakk is still riding on Jay's d*ck. Nah-- actually, Peedi is in jail dropping soap and hoping the dude running up behind him is Jay-Z.

Pause.

 Jay-Z

Today, I was going to do post "someone's" new video, and then put the blog title as something insulting, but since we have certain people bitching and moaning, I can't. At least not right now.

Jim Jones

Well here's the video for Jim Jones' Ron Browz's "Pop Champagne," which features Juelz Santana. Not bad.

First and foremost, big ups to Obama for a LANDSLIDE (approx 338 to 162) WIN that the crooks couldn't dare try and dispute. Back in '04 Common spoke some prophetic words on Jadakiss' remix for "Why," where he spit: "Why is Bush actin' like he trying to get Osama? /
Why don't we impeach him and elect Obama?"

Tony Yayo

Yayo aka Ash sounds a lot more polished than normal. There are so many things I'd like to say about this video, but due to certain requests, I just can't. At least not now.

ONE MORE DAY until the showdown begins. And according to the electoral polls, Obama is so far ahead that in order for McCane  (no pun intended) to pull a victory, he will need to put his cane down, put on a fresh diaper, thrown on a cape, eat a can of Popeye's spinach, stretch those disabled arms out and pull a rabbit out of his magician hat (as illustrated by yesterday's New York Post).
