WOW! I can't believe what I'm seeing. The folks over at Def Jam actually let Nas make -- and release-- another video. At least on the internet.

Does anybody remember when Nas knocked Lil' Wayne out of his No. 1 spot?

That was back towards the end of July. His self-titled album went on to move 187K the first week with no promo outside of the net. At the time, the single chosen to lead the album was the Keri Hilson-featured "Hero."

An entire three months has passed since they first dropped this single. And they wait until NOW to put out Nas' next video?

Last time I checked, former C.O. Rick Ross pushed nearly--or exactly--the same amount with his debut album with barely any promo, and he got better treatment. And didn't do much better than what Nas is doing now.

I'm not shocked.

This joint, called "Make The World Go Round," features Chris Brown and name-dropper SLASH industry d*ck-rider The Game. All was clear in the first 8 bars or so, but it didn't last. This dude dropped at least 4 different names in the second half of his rhyme. Every time I hear a song of The Game's I feel like I'm listening to another "One Blood" remix.

I want to say that maybe they quietly released a single between "Hero" and this one. But I'm sure they didn't. Are they even going to get this one some radio play? Nah... you know how Def Jam does.

In any event, the vid is cool. The song is hot. I don't know about Chris Brown being "the young Michael Jackson"--and I can argue that in so many ways and, for once, will put money on it that very few will disagree--but the kid can perform, and he pays homage. So I won't take offense to that. Still, Michael Jackson is untouchable.

Nas also addresses ringtone rappers in the end of his last verse. Kinda late for that, since I thought their existence has been on the decline...
