This joint, called "Touch and Go," isn't anything to talk about. It's very reminiscent of the song "Fire" from Joe's first album, which makes me yawn.
One thing is for DAMN sure: Although it's obviously not outrageously creative and costly, this video looks like it cost more money than the cheapskate videos Def Jam did for Joey's debut. Remember "Pump it Up"? That video looked so cheap, it makes J-Hoodrat's free-of-charge video look expensive. And why they even bothered with "Fire," I have no idea. That was another bargain-priced video. How does an internet-based label manage to put out a better video than a so-called major hip-hop label? Well, they did it. SMH.
Joe Budden - "Touch and Go"
This video is in promotion for Joe Budden's digital album "The Halfway House," which will be set for download October 28th. "The Halfway House" is taking place of the album Joey was originally set to release on the same day, but is now shelved until February of next year. That album, called "The Padded Room," was reportedly pushed back due to complications of some sort. What those complications are I'm not sure.
Meanwhile, is anything else being done to promote this upcoming album? They can't REALLY expect a video floating around the net to do much for sales. And on top of that, this single probably won't give most listeners the urge to really want to spend money on Joe's sophomore effort. This is the kind of song that you have to hear on the radio fifty billion times to really like.
Well, we'll see what happens...
No big news today. No one to really talk trash about...
