DAMN! It's about time! Stic.Man and M-1 have linked up once again and their timing couldn't have been better. With the election just 8 days away, the duo known to many as Dead Prez have dropped a joint to get many optimists to question none other than... their optimism.
Many will simply not listen to this song. Many will listen to it, but won't hear a word. This is a normal reaction that DP should be accustomed to by now, as many hate feeling like they're being "preached" to. In part, this song is saying that Dems and Repukes are on opposing sides of the same coin. In other words, as someone put it, they're on opposing sides of the same bird: left wing and right wing. And like I say, they drop the same shit.
They're warning you: whatever your choice, you're voting for the lesser of two evils.
I can't co-sign that "we need a red, black, and green party" madness they speak of. And that stupid Garveyism stuff is just ridiculous. But I do respect the fact that DP has retained their image and their relentless will to enlighten the people to the shadiness of our government.
I'm here nor there with this election business. But there are plenty of people who have this undying belief that things will turn out in their favor, until you have someone like Dead Prez comes in and crash the happy party full of hopefuls.

My issue with DP is that they speak of a revolution that cant be realized or even cared about as a whole because the people have enslaved themselves. Until we free our minds, we wont speak out logically and passionately for anything but ballin, b*tches and brute. thats what makes sense to us right now as a whole. DP definitley has missed the mark as far as sparking revolution, but we got some pretty convicing up and comers. we'll see!!
