Uhhh, sure. I guess "3-headed" is an appropriate title for Dr. Dre, Eminem, and Curtis: they've all shared the misfortune of losing their touch.
So, Sha Money XL sounded very excited while speaking on the so-called takeover that is supposed to go down in the '09:
All I gotta say is,who said Hiphop is dead?or do you wanna kill ya self?Either way, your dead! You can "Self Destruct" now or" Detox" later, either way your gonna feel "The Empack". The monster is coming, drop your lp's right now,2009 will not be your year. There coming... This is for the fans, the streets, the clubs, the east, the west, the south, the blogs the whole HIPHOP World!!
BOY was that hard to read. I usually don't edit quotes, but aside from hoping this dude will learn to use the space bar, I'll go ahead and do the honors:
"All I gotta say is, who said Hiphop is dead? Or do you wanna kill yaself? Either way, you're dead! You can "Self Destruct" now or "Detox" later; either way, you're gonna feel "The Empack." The monster is coming. Drop your LPs right now-- 2009 will not be your year. They're coming... This is for the fans, the streets, the clubs, the East, the West, the South, the blogs, the whole HIPHOP world!"
Ahh. Now that's more like it.
Yeah, but in response to this horrifically grammatically incorrect proclamation, I'd like to say that we've heard this overzealous "this is our year!!!" talk over a million times. Irv Gotti said '07 was going to be "the year." Or was it '08? Even if it was '08, we're tipping the scale towards '09, and Irv Gotti hasn't done sh*t. We don't even know who's still down with The Inc. anymore.
Who else has sworn a massive massacre and followed up this prep talk with a flopped single, a shelved release, disappointing album sales, or... nothing at all? Too many artists to name.
I don't want to hear another album from Dr. Dre. He's done nothing but a bunch of nothing for too long. He doesn't even have that passion in him anymore, so what's the point of making a boring album? Eminem is just going to make more songs about his daughter and make more videos with stupid muppets. And 50 Cent is just going to disappoint himself --and many of his fans-- by trying too hard to make another "Get Rich."
I see Sha Money eating his words by June of next year. Mark my words.
