DJ Kay Slay

DJ Kay Slay AKA Kay Slayed AKA Slap Your Favorite DJ took a real slap in the face on Thursday (October 9) night when he played a phony dis record -- obliviously. And then ran it back a few times, excitedly yelling things like: "THE PHONE LINES ARE BLOWING UP!" "THEY KEEP REQUESTING TO HEAR IT AGAIN!" and "I GUESS IMA HAVE TO GIVE THEM WHAT THEY WANT!!!" Boy was he excited to have his hands on a BRAND NEW, EXCLUSIVE DIS TRACK FROM THE BOY HOVITO! He sounded like a kid in a candy store...little did he know...

A friend was telling me to tune in to Hot 97 because Kay Slay just played some dis record from Jay, and that with this wack dis, Jay has officially downgraded himself as "the John McCain of this rap sh*t."

Sure enough, Kay Slayed played it again. Sounded the alarms and played it again. Made sure that the volume was up on those sirens and ran Hov's "verse" back once more. Listening, I was unsuspecting of any foul play, but not only did I think that this "dis" was a little late in timing, but I also thought that Hov's lines addressing Fat Joanna and DJ Khaled sounded so pitiful that I bypassed it completely. If you haven't heard it, really, it wasn't worth the post. Thankfully I didn't bother. Check it out:

------> Jay-Z f/ Uncle Murder- "He Asked For It" [Listen Here]

Owned. And in front of millions of people.

But anyways. This track below is good money and hopefully brand new. Well it should be fairly fresh; it's one of the singles from off of Kay Slayed's upcoming compilation album More Than Just a DJ.

More than just a DJ huh. Really? So what else does Kay Slay do? Besides run his mouth on the radio, press pause and play, and play fake dis tracks. Maybe he's becoming senile; he's been in this game so long that I doubt he even remembers how to use a turntable.

In any event, check out this joint, which I forgot to mention that it also features Papoose. Damn how Pap's momentum has almost completely died. Four years ago he was putting pressure on the mixtape game. I guess JIVE really put a dent in his hustle.

-------> Bun B, Chamillionaire & Papoose- "6 Million Ways to Die" [Listen Here]

And by the way, this joint doesn't REALLY have "ETHER" status written all over it, but the track alone is fiyah. I can hear this loud and clear in one of those Jamaica clubs in Brooklyn. Good job, Slayed. You did swell at distracting us with this new track.
