BET Tries To Keep It Hip-Hop -- Jada, Fab, & Juelz Side with DJ Premier For Awards Show Cypher

BET is corny. Super corny. In passing years they've done away with good shows just to replace them with stupid ones. Their "Hip-hop" awards show is an annual joke. They're constantly biting off of MTV's ideas. And furthermore, they have become the playground for corny rap music-- yet they're trying to show us that they do in fact really care about hip-hop. They have this "Spit Your Game" stuff going on, and now they're trying to do cyphers?
First of all, Jadakiss is not from Brooklyn. A mistake is a
mistake--which I sometimes make when trying to write at 3 in the
morning, but you don't mess up like that. He's been in the game and
doing business with BET for how many years now? How stupid. Let's hope
the person who ripped the video did this.
In any event, this is a decent cypher, which was done for the late April Fool's prank they call the BET "Hip-Hop" awards. Despite the fact that BET aka Viacom has no business doing anything having to do with original (yes, "original" not "real") hip-hop, Ace Hood, Juelz Santana, Fabolous, and Jadakiss did their thing:
"Cause everybody coming and the year is failin'/ ask why, and they just play Sarah Palin"-- Fabolous
Can't put my finger on whose bars were the best. Fab had some decent punchlines. So did Juelz. I want to take Ace Hood seriously, but his boss-- aka Khaled The Nuisance-- is a clown.
The 2008 BET "Hip-hop" Awards aired last night for those who missed it. Not that you should care. You know who won all of the awards.
