50 Cent Still Trying to Act, Making a Movie With the Same Name as His Upcoming Album

50 Cent is in the process of throwing together a movie, entitled Before I Self Destruct, which is the same name as his upcoming album. He plans to release them both on December 9th. Here we go again with this sh*t.

It never ceases to amaze me of just how loosely these rappers take the acting profession. Becoming a well-rounded, leading actor takes years and years to establish. It's an art. You study it. There's years and years of training, of practice, auditions, rejection, wack agents, finding a good agent, so on and so forth. You see Johnny Depp? He started out with "Freddy Kreuger: Nightmare on Elm Street." Over 20 years later, his rank is well respected. It takes YEARS.

That's why these stupid rappers make me sick. Ja Rule, Eve, Cam'ron, Eminem, DMX, 50, Nas, all these other so-called rapper-turned-actors, they need to stop. All this catapulting yourselves into these huge roles without taking the time to build the craft makes you look overzealous and sloppy. And it highlights your inexperience, needless to say. Because none of you n*ggas can really act. At all. But not according to Curtis:

"When [movies] portray certain lifestyles they don't show cause and effect," he told Rollingstone in reference to his new 'movie.' "But I showed characters under pressure in scenarios where they felt like there were no other options, even though there were. There are always options. People just usually start to see them while being incarcerated -- for not seeing them in the first place."

Yawn. Will someone please tell this dude his acting sucks? Aight. I'll do it: your acting sucks. You're wack. I'd buy your stupid album before I see that movie.

Why do these rappers continue to put out these stupid films? It's ridiculous. I've even found a quote from a real actor to reiterate what I'm saying:

''To take people from the music world and give them the same kind of credibility and weight that you give me, Morgan Freeman, Laurence Fishburne, Forest Whitaker -- that's like an aberration to me; you just can't do that,'' Samuel L Jackson once said back in '02 [via EW]. ''It's not my job to lend credibility to so-and-so rapper who's just coming into the business.''

''I know there's some young actor sitting in New York or in L.A. who's spent half of his life learning how to act and sacrificing to learn his craft but isn't going to get his opportunity ... because of some actor who's been created -- and you can use the word 'actor' loosely."

LOOSELY.

I swear I wrote this blog before I found this quote. Doesn't it fit perfectly?
