I guess this is just a little joint to keep us reminded that Curtis is on his way... consider it a commercial even. But there is absolutely nothing special about it. Beat, what he's saying in his rhymes, the swag in it, etc... it's just average.

"Im finna hit the restart button. It's gonna feel like I just started it all over again. Like it's '03 and this is 'Get Rich.'"

Ha! That era is over! Forever!! Didn't I once say that he's already surpassed the height of his career and there's nothing he can do to bring it back? Yeah. I did. Get over it. That album's momentum was destroyed by the two following albums, which came off to me as sloppy.

Yawn. Slow news day.

But I'd like to get my hands on this (below). Jim Jones got a professional to help him put together a documentary, where he says "I'm not really famous..." This is the first time I haven't seen him being arrogant. But then again, this is just one line. He actually follows it up with "But I bet all the famous people know me."

Sure they do. For your one song.

Jimmy annoys the hell out of me, but this looks pretty interesting. Being from Uptown, it was interesting to see the rise and fall of Jimmy and the whole (major) Dipset crew and how everyone fell apart. This DVD touches on his close-knit friendship with Cam in the earlier stages to the end of their union, Dame with his two cents, Hov, losing Stack Bundles, and hey... they even included a clip of Jim fighting so we might change our minds about him getting stomped out by Junior Mafia.

The only difference between Jim Jones and Afroman is that Afroman showers and wears deoderant. Jimmy is a hype man who had someone write him a song that blew up, he's not an artist or lyricist..he's blood sucking leach in the hip hop game.
