The latest on Blueprint 3 is just in and it's not looking good for Timbaland. Check below for details.

Remember this?

"We wanna go to the world. The world is 'Big Pimpin'.' 'Big Pimpin' ' is an international hit, so we wanna do 10 of those. He wants me to do the whole thing this time around. I'mma make it a classic too. You better believe it. It'll be a monster!"-- Timbaland speaking on Jay's Blueprint 3, MTV interview, July

DAMN, Hov! What happened? I know: Little brother threw a hissy fit, took his Louis Vuitton heels, tossed them into the ceiling, and kicked and screamed for Big brother to change his mind. Damn, 'Ye. You got Timbo all hyped up for nothin! He seemed so happy in that interview that I thought the n*gga had pissed in his pants. That's not right, Kanye! You've got your "Be Kanye" ads all over New York City-- isn't that enough? Why do you always have to be all over everything?!

Via Dope Boy Mick Boogie:

"Kanye will indeed be producing most, if not all, of the album. Remember back in the day when an artist would do a whole album with one producer for cohesiveness? Think classic Snoop or Jeru with Primo... and fast forward it to 2008.

Jay will be leaking the finished version of "Jockin" as soon as he adds a new 3rd verse to the song.

Tracks to look for include the aforementioned "Jockin' Jay-Z" and a new track entitled "Victory" that the rumor mill says is simply amazing."

Both Kanye and Timbaland are excellent producers. But damn... how the story has changed in the past four weeks. Not that I have a problem with listening to a full album of Kanye beats. Not at all. And although Mick Boogie is a credible source, Hov hasn't even come out and talked about the album himself, so as of now my guess would be that nothing is written in stone. One thing that IS written in stone, however, is this: with the last two Jay-Z albums not quite living up to what was expected from many, BP3 BETTER deliver. You can't have a banger Part I and then end the trilogy madd corny.

Or you can do us (all) a favor and quit rapping altogether. Because with every post-retirement album, the clout seems to keep losing its... clout.

To be continued...

J the illest in the game - EASY. Nas a close second.

These lil young rappers have no substance. Where would the game be without Jay?! Wouldnt be headling glastonbury....etc etc.

WOW! The last two jay z cds werent that good?? Why cause he was actually spittin songs with concepts and you could understand him? You're probably one of those clowns that says Tha Carter III is a classic also. DICK

^^^^^----JAKEWAX-- I COMPLETELY AGREE- JAY'S LAST ALBUM WAS EXCELLENT. and as far as lil wanye a classic????- what???- please come holla at me after the carter 6 when he still topping the charts maybe i'll consider it.-Jay dont need to prove nothing to nobody -lil wanye is not the best rapper alive - Blueprint 3 is going to change the game !!!
I'm pretty sure Jay is goin to drop Blueprint 3 around he usual time of the year November 21st lolol when's the last time he dropped an album any other time of the year? lolol

Don't act like Ye won't call Timbo in to add some drums or master a track for him, like he did for his own album. I'm sure Timbo will get his 2-3 on this album.

What is this dude talking KC was 4.5 stars and AG is a classic.

What is this dude talking KC was 4.5 stars and AG is a classic.

Get off Gay-Z's nuts you delusional stans!! That guy been fell off and his last 2 albums were hot garbage. Flows are lame. Waste of a decent download.

I personally don't respect Jay-Z because he stabs people in the back like it's an everyday thing. Just look what he did to most of the Roc-A-Fella roster. Look how he did Dame Dash. That nigga is not loyal; that's why he shafted Timbo like he did. I just don't support that shit and I don't know why anyone would support that type of fuckery.

All of you stans are wasting your time. At the end of the day, Jay don't care about anyone but himself.
I hope that arrogant fuck retires already. Don't care who produces his album, so long as it's his LAST!

I just hate to see people hail him as the greatest rapper of all time when there's WAY better MCs out there than Bend-Hova.

STOP SUPPORTING BULLSHIT

And to the guy who said that Nas was 2nd to Gay-Z: Hello, I'm Planet Earth. We haven't met, have we? You must have never heard IllMatic or It Was Written in your life! Go cop that new N album!

Now before you stans start off on me I just wanna say this: How is Jay-Z ever the best when he CONSTANTLY bites other people's flow and swagger? Tell me that.

the writer obviously doesn't pay attention to whats goin on in hip hop on a daily basis... you say hov hasn't come out and talked about the album himself... pay attention to the site you work for... posted on here a few days ago was the interview he did on Shade 45... TALKING ABOUT BLUEPRINT 3...

please never write an article about someone this great in the hip hop culture... cause u obviously don't really know what ur talkin about... in fact... SOHH... if your interested you can replace this so-called "writer" with me... .i would do a much better job..

and American Gangster DID live up to expectations... great album from start to finish...

and don't delete my comment this time... it my opinion.. just cause you may not like doesnt mean it should be deleted..

johnnyace... please don't waste your time writing paragraphs of someone you don't like... soundin like jimmy jones wit bring up jay-z name in ever interview...

and here we go wit another person bring up this shit again askin about how people gonna like jay when he bits other peoples shit... hes helpin words live on... thats it..

all rappers bite other shit.... for instance... right now about 98.8% of beats made right now are taken from something done earlier.. so wouldn't that be biting shit??? smh at losers like u...

There's a lot of hate going on, especially from the writer of this article. Let's not get it twisted, Jay is still on top of his game. While KC might not have been his best work, or what many including myself might have expected, it was an ok album . . . yeah ok. As for American Gangster, that shit is a classic. Great Album with serious tracks. I hope that BP3 is a top knotch album as well. I don't mind Kanye doing a significant amount of tracks, but hopefully theres room for other producers. Timbo, Pharell, Premier, 9th Wonder. If you can add those four to the mix, then i can already bet that he'll have a hit on his hands.

NYAsshole,

This country has a 5th Amendment right to freedom of speech, and this site was created for people like us to exercise that right towards the Hip-Hop Community. So if you don't like what I'm saying then that's basically some tough titties for ya.

You can say whatever you want in Gay-Z's defense but just don't take offense when a guy like me or Jim Jones comes with a rebuttal. I don't even like Jim Jones myself but he's got a right to say whatever he wants also, especially considering how Bend-Hova shafted him and the other Dipset members over back when they were rollin with him (similar to how 50 Cent did The Game and Young Buck). Jimmy and Killa Cam may not see eye to eye now but at least they can agree when they say that fool Gay-Z is a bitch for doing both of them dirty when they were holdin the Roc down without a shred of disloyalty whatesoever, and it's even more of a shame that Dame Dash (Jigga's right-hand man since the jump, and the man who REALLY started Roc-A-Fella Records) had to get caught up in the mix like that also. Say what you want but that to me was a bitch move and that's why Gay-Z will always be a mark to me. Where I come from, mark ass niggaz pullin bitch moves like that are eventually caught slippin and dealt with properly. And even if the mark beefed up his security or requested police protection, it would still only be a matter of time before one of those cops or security dudes would take a bribe and then switch sides. I hate to sound cold but I kinda miss those days when niggaz had a low tolerance for mickey. You don't fuck around with people's money like that. Hip-hop is backwards enough as it is without punks like Gay-Z getting money and praise off of pullin mark moves.

And as far as Jig bein a swagger-jacker, that still stands. Beats are different; sampling beats is where the "helping shit live on" theory comes into play. But when you bite lyrics there is no excuse for lacking the originality to come up with something fresh and new rather than using something that someone else already came up with a long time ago. That's just a crutch. Any rapper who does that is not worthy of MC greatness IMO.

So if that makes me a loser then so be it because I definitely don't feel like a loser listenin to Nas' new album.

STOP SUPPORTING BULLSHIT

JohnnyACE,

"Bend-Hova shafted him and the other Dipset members over back when they were rollin with him"

You gotta get your facts straight. Cam'ron is the one who recently fucked up everything Dipset had going, they are done now because of him. He just sold Juelz' contract to Def Jam! Secondly, everybody bites rhymes, PERIOD! Kanye, Lil' Wayne, Cam'ron,50 Cent, all the "best" rappers do it. But according to you, they can't be the best because they bite rhymes. Biting rhymes becomes a problem only when that is all the rapper is about. Jay-z is a very versatile rapper and throws in verses from others every now and then, but that is not who he is. You are right though, Nas' new album is pretty damn good, but because you like one, doesn't mean you don't like the other.

As far as SOHH Reckless, you are getting reckless saying that Jay-z hasn't even commented on BP3. He recently stated that if there are 10 songs from Timbaland that go well with the album he will use the 10 songs, and the same goes for Kanye. And I'm with everybody else as far as his last two albums, AG is a classic, and KC was just ok. Jay-z can do us all a favor and keep putting out hot music. When Jay-z is mentioned, its said that he should retire but nobody talks about LL Cool J and he has been in the game for a very long time now? You wanna know why? It's because Jay can put out a hot new track still but when LL does it, it really doesn't make a difference, no one cares. So keep the hate coming, Jay loves it. It means he makes a difference!

Malaydom,

Absolutely nothing you said was relevant to what I was talking about. Cam'ron may have fucked up Dipset recently but I was talking about back when they were with Roc-A-Fella/Def Jam. That's when Bend-Hova was actin like a jealous hater because DipSet had all the dope beats and fashion trends. Secondly, I honestly think that Kanye, Weezy, Killa Cam, and 50 are all lyrically wack also so you basically just proved my point. And yes, biting rhymes and swagger IS what Gay-Z is all about especially considering that THAT'S ALL HE EVER DOES!!

So yes Gay-Z should just retire and quit puttin out garbage and so should LL Cool J's old irrelevant ass. No one gives a damn about LL; he used to be tight back in the early 90s but he's all washed up now. What the fuck was up with that song he did with J-Lo "Control Myself"? That song was hot TRASH!! Bring back Canibus!!

My facts are straight and I've done my research. Perhaps you should do the same.

And while you're @ it...
STOP SUPPORTING BULLSHIT

JohnnyACE,

yes i understand that you have the right to say what you like.. as well as i have that same right... what my point was why would you feel the need to get so in depth for someone you don't like... this is why i made the reference of jimmy... its like people get fueled with hate about something or somebody and can never get it out of them....

you talk like he did something personal to you.... and like u know situations personally... now me on the other hand does not know jay personally.. but i respect him as a artist cause his lyrics are on point.. metaphors ridiculous.. and then i also respect him as a business man... this world is cut throat... big business is cut throat.. i believe in bring ya people wit you when u makin moves.. but the whole situation wit damn dash was doomed from the start.. and im talkin about jump street.. believe what you want...

dudes in brooklyn never really got along wit uptown dudes too much... so yeah.. even tho they were cool.. theres always something there in the back of their minds.. always... so when dipset got signed.. i already knew the end was gettin near... and damn would be right along wit cam... another uptown cat...

son.. im from brooklyn... went to school in manhattan back in the day... a lot of uptown cats... i know what its like...

imma stop now because this isn't gonna change ya mind... but u sound like u need some enlightenment...

oh yeah.. by the way.. .Nas is a great rapper also... i don't hate on cats doin they thing.. regardless...

NYAsshole,

I understand and respect every point that you're making. If you really like Jay-Z like that then I ain't hatin. And maybe you're right about that whole Uptown/Brooklyn beef thing, I honestly wouldn't know since I'm from the West Coast and we live by a different set of rules out here. We believe a spade is a spade and when you do shady shit to people then shady shit comes back to you no matter what side of the town you're on. I just believe that no matter hot cut-throat business is, you can't go stabbin people in the back like that. Just no excuse. But it is what it is tho.

The reason I got so in-depth about it is because of THE STOP SUPPORTING BULLSHIT MOVEMENT that I'm trying to create. I just don't like when people are basically anointing Jigga for sainthood when he's done a lot of things that I'm not cool with, plus his flows are nowhere near as good to me as people make them sound. There's a lot of great MCs out there doing major things that don't get half as much credit as Jay-Z does for doing virtually nothing new. But in your defense, Jay-Z is a lot more talented than most rappers in the game right now so I can see why you people support him so much. I'm just saying that if you like Jigga then there's a lot more music out there that you'll also like (Suga Free, DJ Quik, Hittman, Defari, King Tee, MF Doom, Tech N9ne, Grouch, Immortal Technique, FatLip, Opio, just for starters). I'm encouraging people to come out of their comfort zone and stop just listening to the shit they put out on the radio and TV. Expand your horizons and you'll find much more talent in the underground.

Once you get hooked on the underground, you'll never look at Jay-Z the same way again. I should know: Jay-Z used to be my all-time favorite MC.

*no matter HOW cut-throat

JohnnyACE,

im a huge hip hop fan... underground also... but i've been a jay fan since he started.. i was in line back in 96 when reasonable doubt came out.. i had his in my lifetime cd (not talk volume one).. im talkin the cd wit only 5 tracks on it back in 95...

i also have host a big hip hop forum...

hhkingz.net .. you should come check us out... big on underground there... holla at me when you do... same name...

JohnnyACE, you should try to find that excerpt from Hov's VIBE interview when they asked him about Dame. He said he had second thoughts about the way things went down with them, but after Dame did what he did with having his hand in that Cam beef--since we all know he was behind it--he let any second thoughts go. I don't know about you, but that doesn't sound like "disloyalty". Sounds like that nigga was hurt by Dame, but got over it when he realized that's what was best because of how Dame really was. Dame is a snake nigga who tried to cheat Jay out of everything they built and is mad because Jay had more money and power and got it before he could take it. All Jay wanted was his masters and would've let Dame have EVERYTHING but Dame tried to swindle him into staying, so Jay went to Def Jam and got it all. KARMA IS A BITCH WITH HER PERIOD ON! If Dame's so loyal, ask him where Cam is since that's the reason why he and Jay had beef to begin with. If he's so loyal, ask him where Biggs is and what he'd doing for him. If Dame's so loyal, ask him why he broke up Dipset going back and forth between Jenny Jones and Cam. Disloyalty was in the ROC camp, but it was DAME'S BITCH ASS, not Jay.

Thank you, we got a few smart people in here this lovely evening, nigga its a beautiful day in the south which is very much out of the usual nigga it usually be 3000 degrees at bout noon. oh! anyway, I dont care what nobody say, I liked Amgerican Gangster, every song at dat and I like Kanye's beats, and Ye probably will get a little programming from Timbo, and no disrespect but Timbo's beats is kinda predictable nowadays, Ye is never predictable besides a sample but he has went without it(Stand Up- Ludacris, etc.) and Dame aint do nothin but introduce Ye and Jay, Jigga had da talent and everything else, da game is a business and dem otha cats dat was on da ole ROC was not producing very well besides Ye, so oh well, Bleek and State Property and nem been on too long to be doin nothin

Southern Queen Dee,

Don't just listen to ONE SIDE on the story and think it's the truth.

That's all I gotta say.

Oh yeah, one more thing: Timbo beat Just Blaze for the title of Most Overrated Producer Ever.

I still think all y'all need to hop off Jay-Z's nuts. Makin him seem like the 2nd coming of Jesus or some shit. Come on now.
