WOW! The extended Lox family dropped an album. No, literally...AN ALBUM. It was released so quietly that they probably didn't sell but one measly copy.

Prepare for Glory dropped on the 19th, but it totally slipped my mind that they were even coming out with something in the first place. But they can always look on the bright side of things: No promo is better than Diddy promo-- which is worse than no promo, it's you-sit-on-the-shelf-while-I-promote-myself-promo.

In any event, below is a song from off of the doomed album. This is the kind of music I like to hear coming from The Lox. Called "It's Like That" and produced by the legendary Pete Rock, this joint is definitely a good look:

-------> D-Block- "It's Like That"

I would support, but many of those D-Block dudes are just your average rapper saying the same ol sh*t. The Lox always rap about the same things, but at least they've all established a signature sound. I say dead the D-Block thing and just do a Lox album.

In this song, Jadakiss mentioned the Def Jam deal that Jay-Z helped to ink. But seriously-- does Kiss think that he's ever going to see a decent album release from those people? Not now, not ever. At least not in this lifetime.

SOHH Reckless, you need to chill the fuck out and quit hating on the hardest from Yonkers.
How the fuck dare you call them dead block? These guys have been in the game for a long minute and you have to give them credit for not being sell outs.
Okay, they cant drop a classic album to save their lives (saves Styles GAG in 2002) but they are not to be fucked with when it comes to street music. Go kop Silverback Gorilla to know why i fuck with these guys. Just quit the hating, motherfucker. it's pathetic, to say the least..

I usually don't comment on SOHH because I feel like it would be a waste of time to try and explain things to these mentally-handicapped bloggers on this site... What Reckless fails to understand (as always) is that D-Block released this record independently, which means that by not promoting it like a major label would, they actually are able to profit from their album. Another thing that Reckless (and for that matter, all the young kids who visit this site) is that groups like D-Block are a niche in rap. Their style of music is not designed for the masses (though they would surely welcome any commercial success), it is designed for the streets.

Bloggers, and fans in general need to educate themselves a bit more about the business before they make "reckless" comments about something they seem to know nothing about. There are other ways to make money in this industry, you just have to be smart about it.

I'm not some D-Block fanboy or anything, but I just wanted to clarify what I feel to be just flat-out disrespectful... How would you feel if that was your album?...

Reckless u still are a fuckin idiot! Still hating on rappers thats all you do you. You dont know shit about hip hop stop writing nobody likes you.

I'm real confused. Aug 19th came and went, I checked every website for like a week couldnt find shit. So what's up? Is the album out yet or not? Amazons been sayin 'Out of stock' SINCE the 19th??!!! Are yall even sure it's out. Somebody post a link of a picture of their copy of the album that they bought and tell me where you bought it at, shits like Sasquach or the Loch ness or somethin cuz I don't believe it.

Cosign. Stop hating just cause it's not mainstream/pop garbage. So you like the single... it's produced by Pete Rock... but for some reason you want to sell out an album you haven't even heard? Doesn't make any sense. Use your ears to measure the success of an album... not the promotional effort.

* crickets *

reckless why are you even a columnist? every single article i've read from you always has criticism, you got a lot more negativity in your articles then anything good to say about an artist...i bet you are not even a real fan of rap music, or even hip hop, you just seem to look at everything from a stereotype point of view

Seriously, Reckless...what the fuck is your problem?

Rather than support D-Block and all the other heads still reppin for NY, you just make this negative ass blog entry about how D-Block is "done" and how this album won't sell. If you even are a New Yorker, you would support what these dudes are doing. If you were even a hip-hop head like you claim to be, you know that stuff like this is what hip-hop needs right now. By perpetuating more negativity, you're just adding more to the game than there is now. Turn the fucking haterade off...for real!

Just to let you know, no one takes you seriously...but I think you already know that as evident in all you articles.

Dead Block? stop the hating......

Okay enough about this wack ass blog post. Is the fuckin album out or not? Quick somebody tell me before the post gets shuffled to the bottom and deleted off this wack ass Sohh set up.

Yo yall got hit wit hackers I understand, but this shit is just straight wack, at this point you should of had this fixed. Only reason I come here is my jobs network doesn't block this site like other hiphop sites for some reason.

Like I said on ahh, this Pete beat is just disappointment. How creative, a "Nautilus" sample. Damn Pete. Meanwhile the consensus seems to be Reckless needs another job. Just get the damned forums back up already and leave the conversating to us.
